Fabulous location. The room we occupied had a view of the harbour and Bluenose II was at anchor. The property could use some repair as many of the windows were screwed shut and no screens on the ones we could open. The stairs to the rooms are steep and narrow. Overall the view and location made up for any shortfalls.

Large rooms with comfortable beds. Great view from the waterview rooms but a common porch is available for others to enjoy the view as well. Parking for free is available on all the side streets. Be sure to ask the staff for tips on when parking meters are likely to be checked and tickets issued as this advice comes in handy. If you have mobility issues ask for a downstairs room. Only stairs provide access to upper rooms. We enjoyed our stayed at this inn and would definitely come back some day. Very easy walk to all the downtown Lunenburg sites. Be sure to say hi to locals as everyone is so friendly!

It was right downtown so it was very convenient. Parking was challenging. Street was very busy when we went. Had to stop on road to unload luggage because there was no parking then parked car a block away on side street.

Clean and quiet with a view of the harbour from your deck. Some ask for little more. There was also strong free wifi and tv to watch for those as well. Great shower as well. Enjoyed.

Fantastic stay in Room 10 with enclosed veranda and view of the harbour in a corner room with windows on 2 sides. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. The Inn was in an excellent location and free parking close by on the street. Really enjoyed the room and the town. Get 15% discount on the Walking Tour if you mention the Rum Runner Inn which was a highlight of the visit.

We stayed in a room with a veranda in the annex building - it was fantastic. Extremely clean and well-equipped. The staff was very nice and willing to help with whatever we needed. There are restaurants right next door and down the street. We've been to Nova Scotia three times and this is the first time we stayed at the Rum Runner - it definitely will be a part of our next trip.

Great staff and room in the heart of Lunenburg. There were no blinds in the room which unfortunately made it impossible for me to catch up on sleep in the morning as it was quite bright. Not ideal after driving for 20 hours.

OMG. That was our honest reaction when we walked into this room. We were lucky enough to book one of the suites that came with a sunporch that overlooked the waterfront and harbor, and OH MY THAT VIEW! If we weren't determined to walk around Lunenburg to see the sites and grab dinner, we would have been happy as clams to cuddle up with a bottle of wine and some snacks on that warm, sunny porch for the entire evening (especially perfect since it had been a cold, windy few days outside!) I'll dream of that room and view for weeks to come!

If you want a place with large rooms and a great location. This is for you. We had a large king suite that overlooked the water. Great view. You can walk to lots of restaurants and shopping. Very quiet hotel. My wife and I will definitely stay hear again.

Fantastic location. Beautiful view. But, for the price, I would expect the room to be more nicely furnished. Felt a bit like a hostel rather than a nice hotel. We also could have done without the cleaning supplies being stored in the open outside our room - how about some flowers on the landing instead?

The staff at Rum Runner were very friendly and greeted us personally even though we arrived late to check in. The location was wonderful! Our second floor room overlooked the harbor and we had an enclosed balcony so we could enjoy the view even on a chilly, rainy day. We were right in town so we could easily walk to restaurants and shops. We'd drop off our packages and keep on shopping. The town is historic and pretty with adorable stores. There was no parking lot, but we could park for free on a side street. Note that the side streets are quite steep because the town is hilly. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed and the room had a fridge. However, the decor was very basic and the corner shower stall in the bathroom was a bit small. I'm petite and could use it just fine, but my husband has broad shoulders and he didn't have much space. The shower was clean and fine, but just note that it might be small for some people. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would stay again at the Rum Runner

I couldn't figure out the "Smart" TV in the evening... wanted to watch the first World Series game ... called the desk. The young man on the desk was very nice but couldn't do anything to help -- he didn't understand the TV either. So I missed the game. Its nice to say "call the desk if you have any problems" but what's the point if the person can't help? Someone needs to be available who understands these TVs.

Hayley on the front desk is an absolute gem nothing was any trouble at all. She carried our luggage up to our room which we greatly appreciated as we were up one flight of stairs. The bed was so comfortable, the shower pressure was incredible and the view was spectacular. Great place to stay.

The perfect spot to stay when in Lunenburg!! We had walked around the town and hands down you will not find a better spot to stay, clear view of the harbour and lots of great places to eat and visit! We had the pleasure of speaking with Tim the owner of the Inn what a pleasure to speak with. Tim took time out of his day to speak with us and gave us a bit of the of the history of Lunenburg . The perfect spot to stay but book early so you sure to get a room! Colleen and Niorm

The hotel is right in the middle of main street, close to everything. The staff is super friendly and Tim even lended me one of his charging cables for my glucose monitor! I highly recommend the stay here!!

The staff and owner were amazing and so kind. They went above and beyond and were so friendly. Our room had a great view of the waterfront. We spent a large amount of time on our balcony, enjoying the views. King size bed was very comfortable, and had everything we needed in the room. I don’t have anything bad to say about our stay, 10/10 stay, we will definitely be returning in the future!

The staff and owner were amazing and so kind. They went above and beyond and were so friendly. Our room had a great view of the waterfront. We spent a large amount of time on our balcony, enjoying the views. King size bed was very comfortable, and had everything we needed in the room. I don’t have anything bad to say about our stay, 10/10 stay, we will definitely be returning in the future!

Quaint hotel right on the waterfront in Lunenberg. We were able to park right outside the hotel on the street. Walking distance to everything.

Great location in the heart of town. Had the veranda room which was very nice to sit overlooking harbor. Parking is not provided and a little hard to find. Beds not the most comfortable. Staff very nice.

If you’re going to stay in Lunenberg, this is a great option on the waterfront. Walk to everything in minutes, great spot.

Located centrally in the downtown you never needed your car. Rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. Balcony overlooking the harbor was a plus. Staff was very helpful when we needed extra coffee and cream and in giving ideas for dinner.

The beds were super comfortable and the location of the property was great (right on the waterfront). There were many restaurants within walking distance to choose from. Staff were very friendly.

This is a beautiful Inn with very comfortable beds. The room offers coffee and a small fridge It would be better if the restaurant at Inn was still in operation or they offered Continental breakfast. The area does offer lots of options for breakfast though as everything is in walking distance. We loved our weekend stay.

Highly recommend the Inn! The Front Office Manager was exceptional. She assisted in finding local venues and made the check-in easy and efficient. Had the chance to meet the owner who was also very welcoming. The Inn is nice & central to all shops, restaurants, the museum, and the harbour front. Didn’t sit on the balcony since the weather was a bit cool.

I would highly recommend this place to stay. It was very convenient to restaurants, shops & walking to see the incredible sights. The view from the balcony was spectacular. People working here cannot do enough for you

Excellent location looking over the harbor. CLose to many restaurants. In the heart of downtown. Some noise from adjacent balcony unit. Loud talking noise late into the night from adjacent buildings balcony not controlled by Hotel. Just kept AC unit on to mask.

Fabulous fun quaint motel, but bring 10$ in Canadian coins (loonies and toonies, not kidding) for meters from 10am-5pm. $8 for 4 hours if you can’t find side street free parking. Loved our room and Dockside restaurant.

A very nice historic style building on the main street of Lunenburg. Walking access to the museums and harbor though down and up steep hills. The lack of parking could be a problem if not managed well Staff very helpful with suggestions

This hotel is very well managed. It is centrally located on the waterfront with easy access to all the activities and restaurants of Lunenburg. It has some great views of the bay!! The room we stayed in had an additional sunroom overlooking the bay. All around a great place to stay! Would certainly stay here again. Robert Philadelphia
