Spanish Villa Resort

This has been one of the worse motels I have ever stayed. 1st of all, the check-in was very inconvenient. Their front desk was closed and their sign indicated that I go to another motel to check-in. I went there but their front desk was also closed. I managed to locate the maintenance guy who proved to very useful in helping me. After I checked-in I found out the EI girl gave me the wrong room as a couple later accessed my room while I was inside. The cleanliness of the room needs lots of improvement. There was a cigarette stain on my bedsheet. I found 2 bugs (1 in my sink and one on the floor). Red drop stains on the top blanket. Black short hair on the shower wall (I have long brown hair). The exterior grounds needs a good clean-up. This motel is managed by EIs and it is very obvious as it needs more attention to cleanliness. I have no idea why this place is referred to as a "Resort" as it is a 2 star motel. One of their EI staff accessed my room while I was away and searched my language and laundry bag because the previous customer staying in my room had forgotten some clothes in the room. I could tell someone had gone thru my clothing when I returned and I was informed by someone at this motel an EI staff went inside my room to locate the missing clothing. I find this totally unacceptable. I have to emphasize at least the white Cdn maintenance guy was very helpful.

Good stay. Convenient location

Rooms are a bit outdated but proximity to beach and restaurants made it worthwhile. It was ok.

Clean room and wonderful access to the beach

The no key access was nice but once you open the door with code the door unlocks and stay unlocked. We should have been notified of this as we left our door unlocked thinking it should’ve locked by it self. Also the room was super nice but was missing hair dryer. Over all this is a good place to stay and the staff are super. Thx
