This is a fairly basic motel but perfectly fine, clean and comfortable, in an unbeatable location downtown. Rooms are set back a bit from the street so they stay quiet. The parking is enclosed and seems very secure. For me the biggest drawback was loud and fairly ineffective air-conditioning (although it did work). I would definitely stay again.

Graduation day at university stay over. Expensive for what you get. No frills of any kind. Very spartan and cheap. However, people checking you in were nice, room was very clean. This is what happens when you wait too long to reserve a room.,

You pay for why you get. Central location, basic motel.

The towels and bedding are new yet the rooms are tired. The new owners say they are renovating. They painted the building and room doors are a new color. However they just glopped new paint over old and you can see the prior removed room number plate. Also the door bottoms look rotted and they just installed a metal plate at the bottom. The plan is a boutique accommodation. Well they have a long way to go. The area around the lodge is sketchy.

60s motel that’s been renovated. I especially liked the heated floor in the bathroom. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable, but could have had another pillow or 2. Empty buildings in the neighborhood, but I felt perfectly safe here. Front desk guy could be a little friendlier, but the morning housekeeping gal was as friendly and happy as a Disney character.

Easy check in Parking places tight

This used to be a TravelLodge. They’ve renovated. It is basic, clean, and I love being able to leave the car and walk to dinner. Many casual and upscale restaurants nearby. Looks like nightlife as well, but due to work hours, I couldn’t partake.

There were dead cockroaches in the room.

This is an older property but it was clean and well maintained.

The walls, light switches, and counters were dirty, like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Brown splattered stains like mud or something. The floors looked like they'd been mopped then walked on by someone with muddy boots. The shower had rust and grout problems. The towels and linens seemed clean, though.

Super dirty place. Location is excellent in terms of walking distance to all the night life. But this is a really dirty place. Cockroaches. The toilet is clogged. The AC is super loud. I understand this is a budget motel. But we just want standard clearness. Towel and bedsheets are old. Shower water pressure is low. This is a place for you get drunk and pass out. But it is not comfortable stay. I woild suggest the owner really do cleaning to this place.

Hot water for shower great

The only two things I liked about the room was price and the mattress. The mattress slept very well. On the other hand, the frame in which the mattress lay made a lot of noise. There aren’t any unique features about the room. Everything is outdated including the motel itself. The furniture is dirty and the AC unit is very noisy and keeps you up all night pretty much. To access the controls to the AC you will have to stand on a chair in order to reach them. That’s dangerous. Because of their rules, you can’t bring any of your personal appliances for example, an air fryer to use. That’s disappointing.

The staff was very polite. I only saw a couple bugs but the shower faucet needs to be replaced. It shoots out everywhere and then leaks into the room a tad. The bathroom door is also messed up because of that and is hard to shut.

I don’t like the shower

If you’re looking for somewhere to simply crash after a UF game, this works. It’s walking distance (about a mile and a half). Other than literally just a cheap place to crash after a game when you don’t want to drive home, it doesn’t have much to offer. Shower was tiny and not very clean (like skip the shower until you’re back home). AC unit clicks off and on all night which was noisy. Bed was on a metal frame that was super noisy with the slightest movement. Cable tv and a fridge/microwave in the room. The front office staff was very friendly. Definitely gives off an “I’m hiding out from the authorities” vibe.

It was LOUD AND NOISY. The desk manager was a prick....I couldnt sleep at all and it was 84 bucks down the drain....he wouldnt give me a room where it was quiet, the adjacent room had a boom box and subwoofer and the desk manager did nothing. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS MOTEL

Nice people on staff, they fixed inop A/C unit quickly. Friendly people glad to have my business, was my impression.

Very easy remote check in, room was good.

I never checked in, no one ever came to the front desk to check me in. After waiting 30 minutes I left and got a room at another hotel.

Very accommodating staff was nice and helpful

Excellent staff and they took care of the customers. This is our third time staying at the place and everyone committed to ensure the service of excellence. The property was situated not too far from the University. However, we could not hear any noises around the area. We slept very well for both nights. We will come back and stay at this place again.

The street it was on was extremely noisy till late, and again early in the morning. If you must stay here, ask for a room towards the back of the property, although I doubt they will fulfill your request. They have no interest in helping people or any show of customer service. One definitely gets the impression that they just want your money- warm bodies in a bed, for lack of a better term. I believe I got a bug bite there as well. I arrived at 2am, as I got delayed in Tampa and unfortunately had pre-booked the room. The night clerk would not give me a late check out, not even 11:30am. (Even Motel 6 will let you stay till 11:30am if you ask nicely). Then when I was not fully rested in the morning, I saw him again as I was leaving, and I told him that I would\'ve appreciate a little kindness in regards to the checkout time. He told me that they were fully booked for the night to come, so no one could check out late. Of course, that was a lie, because when I talked to the maid (who was waiting to clean my room), she said it was her last one. Listen, do yourself a favor, if you can afford it, pay an extra $40-50 and stay in a proper hotel, not a "lodge" which is really just a cheap, fleabag motel. Oh and there\'s a massive cell tower looming above the place.

Came to Gainesville for a football game. We just needed a place to sleep. We were pleasantly surprised with our room. Way out did our expectations. Great location walking distance to to stadium and great restaurants. Room was very clean! No issues at all. Will be our place to stay for future visits to Gainesville

I am suspicious of any property where check in is behind a bulletproof glass window. The room was clean but sparse with no carpet and only one overhead light. Area around motel had many panhandlers. Stay there before an early flight from GNV, don’t leave the room.

Yes it is dated and it is a motel. But it is in a great location, you can park your car outside your room, check in service was excellent and it is very clean. Easy walk to restaurants and cool cocktail bars. Value for money..save your money for the excellent dining within 8 minute walk!

Convenient location in center of downtown Gainsville. There are restaurants and several coffee shops in easy walking distance from hotel.

It was nice enough and close to the stadium so walking to the game was ok.

Property is located in a walking distance to downtown Gainesville. It was very quiet. We stayed for two nights and slept like babies. The staff cleaned the room on the daily basis. The room was basic, with refrigerator, microwave, WIFI and bathroom. The ice machine was outside and could get the bucket filled in a very short distance near the office. There was no coffee or breakfast over there but we could find local restaurants near by. When evaluated with overall aspects, including cost of stay, we gave this motel a thumb up. We will stay here again next year when visiting Gainesville.

We were in town for 2 nights watching baseball/softball games. We booked very last minute and this was a great deal. When we arrived the hot water heater had gone out so a hot shower was out of the question but that was the only "issue" we had during our stay. We couldn\'t figure out how to work the TV and were stuck with MTV all weekend but that was likely operator error :) The staff was very friendly and apologetic about the water situation. There is a no breakfast but Dunkin Donuts is perfect walking distance! The bed was comfortable. The room was clean.
