Ban's Diving Resort

We spent six nights and were happy with the hotel and location. We went on several excursions to nearby beaches. Freedom Beach is beautiful. Aow Leuk is wonderful for snorkelling. The hotel’s best pool is the one highest up, furthest from the main road (infinity pool/bar). A golf cart service is available and free if you don’t want to walk uphill. On Sundays and Mondays, you risk that all ATMs are out of cash — withdrawing on Friday (preferably) or Saturday is recommended. The hotel’s garden was a pleasant surprise.

Gutes Resort. Ich hatte mein Zimmer im Jungle House. Da dies etwas weiter weg war vom Strand stand ein Elektrogolfwagen bereit, der einem hoch und runter fuhr. Ein Pool war direkt neben dem Haus und es war alles grün und ruhig. Würde ich wieder buchen. Preis-Leistung top.

L'hôtel est parfaitement situé si vous vous rendez sur koh tao pour la plongée ou la fête. L'emplacement est idéal pour ça, mais très éloigné du côté plus sauvage de Koh Tao. L'hôtel est très grand, un village sur l'île ! Il est traversé par des grandes routes. C'est un peu l'usine parfois, mais on y trouve de tout, et on ne manque de rien. Le restaurant est plutôt bon, le petit dej est bon, la chambre est spacieuse et confortable. Il y a plusieurs piscines mais la plupart sont utilisées par le centre de plongée de l'hôtel.

The place is awesome only problem is the staff members… if you stay in jungle area of the hotel after 8pm you will struggle to get to your room the only way is with golf carts they are supposed to be 24/7 but the staff gets aggressive and force you to walk around 30-40 minutes to get to your room. If you stay in the part close to the beach you will have a good experience!

You can get a free transfer to and from the pier which is super helpful. The hotel is massive and the restaurant breakfast/ food was really nice. It is in a great Location and there is lots to do round it. The hotel restaurant also has entertainment in the evening and the bands were really great. The views are in incredible from the pool near the gym. No pressure if you don’t want to do the diving.

Beautiful resort, excellent breakfast, great accommodations in a deluxe room. The major drawback is that rooms close to the beach suffer from noise from the beach including loud music and crowds talking loudly until 2:30 am every night. Try to book a room away from the beach. There is a steep hill but the resort will drive you up and down the hill in their golf carts. The resort is truly beautiful with crystal clear pools and is nicely located in that it is close to great restaurants. The resort restaurant is right on the beach and sunsets are spectacular every evening.

Ban’s is centrally located in Koh Tao. I liked everything about the experience staying there. Primarily as divers, we loved the convenience of getting on speed boats right in front of the property.

Fantastisk sted hvis du vil lære at dykke og tage et PADI certifikat. Baan har uddannet 300.000 Padi dykkere igennem årene, så de har styr på det. Vi boede oppe af bjerget i Hill view og blevet kørt frem og tilbage i golfvogne når vi havde behov for det - fin service. Deres morgenmads, middag og bar restaurant har den flotteste udsigt over stranden og solnedgang om aftenen. Til Morgenmaden kan du selv bestille forskellige former for æg og pandekager. Live musik og fest hverdag som heldigvis ikke generer på værelserne. De hentede os da vi ankom på havnen og de afleverede os da vi skulle videre. Kan anbefales og så er solnedgangen imponerende

The jungle house room was very clean, spacious had a balcony and the shower pressure was very good. This was our last night in Koh Tao and we returned the scooter that we had rented for five days. Our jungle house room was so far from the reception and they were extremely rude when they had to give you a lift in a golf cart to the other end to reach your room. People at reception were extremely rude and dismissive which is a shame because the hotel is a very nice hotel however too big especially if your room is far away and the only way down is by moped or golf cart.

Vi hade en trevlig vistelse på Ban's! Vi bodde i ett deluxrum på övre delen av resorten, en härligt uppåtstigande promenad men med möjlighet att få skjuts upp till rummet från stranden. Rummet var bekvämt och rent. Rummet och hotellet skulle dock må bra av en upprurning så det börjar se lite undermåligt ut.

Rena och jätte fina rum. Super mysig trädgård runt boende och bra frukost.

Mycket otrevlig personal,städning obefintlig, trasiga lakan,och handdukar,frukost personal var fokuserade på sina mobiler istället för på arbetet, då de för en gångs skull skulle servera så tuggade de på sin egna mat, som de gick och plockade i till sig själva, och åt under frukosten, plockade inte undan efter gäster som gått. Regnade in i rummet och inget varm vatten

Ich war 5 Nächte als Alleinreisende in einem Hiltop Bungalow in ban's Diving Resort. Die Lage und Anbindung an die Tauchgänge ist mehr als hervorragend! Zu bemängeln ist jedoch die Sauberkeit des Bungalows.. Von dreckigen Löffeln, über eine schimmelige Dusche, bis hin zu gelben Flecken auf der Bettdecke war alles dabei. Das Personal wirkte oft mehr als lustlos, beim Tragen meines Gepäcks wurde ich mehrmals aufgefordert zu helfen. Alles in allem war es in Ordnung, ich würde jedoch nicht noch einmal dort übernachten.

Beautifully kept property. Beautiful pool. Great room, clean and decorated great. Bed was comfy and linings felt very quality . Highly recommend.

Die Unterkunft an sich war sehr schön und groß. Es gab vier Pools, wobei drei fast den ganzen Tag von Tauchern zum üben genutzt wurden. Wenn einen das stört, kann man an dem vierten Pool aber immer liegen. Das Zimmer war nicht wirklich sauber. Vor allem der Bettbezug war so dreckig, dass wir den nach dem Check-In direkt wechseln lassen mussten. Das Bad riecht leider oft sehr muffig und stinkt wegen dem Abfluss. Außerdem wurden wir jeden Morgen, so ca. 7 Uhr, vom Personal geweckt, welches durch den Flur geschrien und Betten und Kisten verschoben hat. Vielleicht hatten wir auch einfach Pech mit der Lage des Zimmers. Das Frühstück war schrecklich. Überall liefen Ameisen herum und auch die Auswahl war für ein vier Sterne Hotel sehr gering. Die Pancakes waren jedoch super. Alles in allem würden wir nicht mehr wieder kommen, da die Unterkunft relativ teuer war und wir für diesen Preis deutlich mehr erwartet haben.

Really Nice hotel, clean rooms with fabulous rooms and decent breakfast. Only downside was bad smell from showers after use. Very steep walk to some of the rooms and the resort is huge and not very well labeled with directions to rooms!

I have never felt more unsafe in a hotel. We booked this hotel for 1 night(thank god) and when we arrived they told us we have booked a jungle resort room which is furthest away from the beach which was fine as they ran a shuttle. We then got in the shuttle which took us over 1km away from the beach and all the facilities in the jungle above all the workers houses. We constantly smelt cooking etc. and there was bags of rubbish just on the paths all over the resort. The bit behind the entrance to our room also had loads of piles of rubbish everywhere. The room was extremely dated and wasn't clean, the shower had marks all over it and their was a drying rack box that was all dirty with random plates and cutlery that has been washed and forgotten to put away. We messaged Expedia to complain about the dirt of the resort and the 1km distance to the beach that we weren't informed of when booking and they phoned the hotel to ask them to sort it. A women arrived at our door banging it down shouting "it's me". When we opened the door she was angry and shouted "what's the problem" we explained about the dirt etc, and she rolled her eyes and said well if you want near the beach then you can go to reception and pay 60-80£ to upgrade. Then started shouting at us saying what do you want us to do? We said it's fine then as it's only 1 night and we are not willing to pay. After this about 20 minutes we heard more banging on our door and shouting and opened it and it was 3 young children.

The hotel is so nice! A great reception area and the hotel restaurant right on the beach. The room was very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The complimentary breakfast buffet with the room was very tasty with good selection. The beach in front of the hotel and the multiple pool areas are great! I would love to stay at Ban’s again!

We booked the hilltop view and it was an amazing view of the ocean with a balcony! It was a little bit of a walk up hill every night but it was a great price for the location, view and size of the room. Breakfast was amazing as well. Right on the water with good views and lots of food options. Very central on Sairee Beach.

Overall a great stay and value for money. Super central, room was definitely renovated and looked way better than on the pictures. Bathroom was brand new. Only downside tje mattress was way too hard, and I like hard mattresses. Pick up service from the harbor, restaurant at the beach. All walking distance. Still a 5 out of 5

Band diving resort is an amazing property with great service and facilities and awesome dive shop. The resort is enormous and some areas are so far away you need to get golf carts to get around. They basically have people driving these carts back and forth picking up and dropping off people. Like I had booked the jungle house room.. one cannot just walk there you need to request transport. I stayed in the building overlooking pool 3 right under where the gym is. These rooms can be a bit noisy with the meatheads dropping weights. It was very quiet and pleasant once the gym closed. I really enjoyed my stay there. AmazIng property

Superhärligt boende mitt i hjärtat av Koh Tao med supergullig personal. Vi bodde nära stranden vilket var jätteskönt. Frukosten var god med mycket alternativ. Vi bokade snorklingtur genom hotellet och var supernöjda. Dock ganska högljudd på kvällarna då vi bodde nära stranden och också nära alla barer. Bor man högre upp på resorten kanske det är lugnare, men då också längre ifrån strand och uppförsbacke hem.

Vi bodde 11 netter på Ban's i en hilltop view deluxe. Etter noen uker med mye reising og korte opphold langs Thai kyst ønsket vi å pakke ut litt og flytte inn på Tao når vi endelig var tilbake på den fantastiske øya. Vi ønsket et sted som var stille og uten mye folk som passerte rett utenfor. Vi valgte derfor den type rom trodde vi. Midt på balkongen vår var det utgang og lite vindu mot sitte gruppen vår fra en personal/familie bolig. Det som både var beskrevet og forstått som privat var tidvis ikke det. Ikke så mye privatliv på balkongen om morgenen og ettermiddagen eller midt på dagen da personalet kom og gikk gjennom den lille kjøkkendøren på balkongen vår Vi ba om annet rom men det lot seg ikke gjøre. Når det er sagt så var jo personalet som kom og gikk søte og snille. Rommet var stort, hadde masse oppbevaring, var rene, hadde fantastisk utsikt og en deilig seng. Frokost god men litt kjedelig etter noen dager. Ban's er et stort hotell kompleks med flotte hager og har alt av tjenester. Alle Padi sertifiseringer, frisør, vaskeri osv.

The Jungle house are pretty far from the beach, and you will have to cross a road with a lot of traffic. The hotel offers free drive by golf chart, but it is frustrating to wait for the driver everytime you are going back to the room. The rooms in the Jungle house are clean and big, but the walls are thin. I was awakened every morning by neighbours talking. I will recomend to either rent a motorbike or pay extra to get a room closer to the beach. I did not get the magic Koh Tao Island vibe by staying this far from the beach.

Vi fick ett rum, Hilltop med Seawiew vilket stämde bra! Bra utflykter och missa inte Tanote Bay eller Freedom Bay.

There was construction outside our window and our only view. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Le plus : suite à un problème avec un billet d’avion, l’équipe s’est démenée avec une compagnie thaï pour trouver une solution !

Allt var super, trevliga rum, fint område, jättebra pool vid jungle house. Personalen var supertrevliga, ligger centralt och nära till allt!

El alojamiento no se parece nada a las fotos. Cogimos una habitación para tres personas , que había que te tenían que subir para poder acceder a ella en un carrito. Tuvimos unas vecinas que gritaban toda la noche y se escuchaba perfectamente desde la habitación. El desayuno muy regular con comida poco apetecible. Personal bastante antipático. El día de salida nos ofrecieron un transporte gratuito para el puerto , y muy mal organizado. La gente muy nerviosa , porque al final tienes que llegar en tu horario, tienen que ir y venir varias veces, y bastante desagradables. La escuela de buceo igual, muy antipáticos. La habitaciones que están en la parte de abajo tienen mucho ruido con música en directo hasta tarde. Nada recomendable .

J ai adoré allez y dans hesiter

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. The people in the reservations room that they direct you towards right away were a little rude and then hid behind a language barrier when asked for clarification. Front desk staff refused to honor a discount on room cost becaus when I signed up for 3 diving certifications “because I booked through Expedia” and then proceeded to charge me full price directly. Giving four stars overall because my diving instructor shout out to Hampus was phenomenal. Giving four stars overall because my diving instructor - shout out to Hampus - was phenomenal; however, if I were to return, I wouldn’t stay here again because there are other potentially more modern options around.

It’s was a good stay at Ben’s except the night because we live in the first area of the hotel and it’s located very close the restaurant where they had loud music with a DJ playing every night. We could hear all the sound through our balcony door and that’s makes us very frustrating when we want to go to bed. Also all the people who was walking passed at night from all the parties that we could here very clearly as well. Overall the hotel location is good and close to everything. And the breakfast buffe was okey, you just need to go there before 9am because then everybody come the last hour and the staff can’t produce the food fast enough so many times we ended up without anything to eat even though we’ve paid for breakfast included in our room price for the whole week.

Værelset er høj klasse. Morgenmad høj klasse. Infrastruktur på hotel høj klasse. Personale høj klasse.

I liked it, the room was very nice and comfortable, and the garden & grounds were nice. I paid a LOT - $400/n for the room though and I don’t think it was worth it. Deluxe garden rooms are right next to a night club with drum & bass blaring until 2am - so keep that in mind. Next time I think I’ll stay in Ban’s hotel which has a very nice pool away from nightclub. Breakfast is crazy between 9-10, go early if you want to relax.
