Gorgeous view to watch the sun go down and then stargaze. Enjoyed a bubbly spa and then lit the fire. Enjoyed a home delivered dinner and unwound after a big day of exploring. Serene.

The retreat was beautiful. Great views, long deck, lovely sunbeds to laz around on. The fridge had been pre stocked with maleny yoghurts, milk, fruit, bread, honey and marmalades, vegemite. And cereal on the bench. They had two microwaves, cling wrap, oven with pots and pans. pre stocked dish washing liquids, soaps and shampoos. Double spa bath and large double showers. We kept very warm at night with the fire place. It was great!!

Amazing experience. The view of the mountains from the balcony is just phenomenal. Me and my husband did not feel like leaving the room. They have a great collection of DVD’s and boardgames private spa, it’s a perfect place for getaway and do absolutely nothing. There is a restaurant nearby just 8mins drive they serve amazing Prawn garlic pizza. Must try.

Maleny Tropical Retreat was the perfect venue to host our girls reunion. The 2 bedroom Nusa Dua room was spacious and well equipped with a wood burning fire (well used during our early spring stay where nights were chilly) and functional kitchen (cooktop and Convection microwave oven included). Located between Melany and Montville, we had easy access to the local communities for fresh produce. Our hosts were friendly, checking in on us a few times to ensure we had all we need, and refreshing the firewood and kindling as needed.

This resort situated between Montville and Maleny is an ideal place for a romantic weekend away. Each cabin is set away from each other and overlook the valley and the lake. The furnished balcony provides an ideal view of the sunset and the fog rolling in over the lake in the morning. The bungalow itself is spacious and well appointed with an ensuite bathroom and a separate kitchen/living room. The wood fire was a great touch as it got a little chilly in the evening. Overall a beautiful weekend away in an awesome resort that we would stay at again without hesitation.

Our stay at Maleny Tropical Retreat was excellent. Our midweek sojourn was upgraded at a very reasonable price to the green villa. The villa was very comfortable and our host made sure we had a plentiful supply of wood for a most efficient fire place. Our continental breakfast was appreciated as was the terrific view from the verandah.

Booked as an able to sleep 7, as we are 3 single women. Arrived and there was 2 queen beds made up and only a daybed available but that had no bedding. So we had to share, which was not ok. Whole place was disappointing, outside spa bath full of bird poo, towells looked tired and frayed, dust under beds forming a tribe of dust bunnies, couch looked like it came from a 70’s share house and was absolutely exhausted. Could not seat two as you would have fallen on top of each other. Compendium had not been updated since 2022, it said so on the menus. Overall it looks like the owner is very tired of the property, outside was channeling farm house, hay and dirt than tropical retreat. The price did not reflect value and phots are positively misleading.

Decided on a last minute night away and hit the jackpot. Absolutely beautiful location with views over the paddocks and out to the lake. Clean and tidy and so easy to come and go. We loved our stay.

We liked that the units were private and the view was lovely. It was quiet except for a bit of road noise but that is to be expected with the location. I did feel the units are a little dated and not like the pictures. The crockery was chipped and the towels were fraying around the edges.

We stayed in the new "Samur" cottage, with views that went on forever! I can honestly say that the only downside of being here was having to leave. If I could have stayed for much longer, I would have. Thank you for making our stay such a beautiful experience. The cottage is 5* Amenities 5* Cleanliness 5* Ambience 5* Breakfast is local and just in keeping with what's needed. Will definitely be back. Thank you

This property is absolutely stunning. The facilities are everything that you could want for a romantic night away (two person spa, double shower, fireplace). The views are beautiful and the wrap around veranda means you can take full advantage, and we loved that we could cook our own dinner with the facilities available in the kitchen. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in that wasn't my own, which was a very pleasant surprise. The only blib in our visit was that the property was not as clean as I would have liked. With dirty coffee cups left by previous occupants put back on the shelf and debris in the bin drawer. It wasn't a deal breaker, but meant that I had to clean before I could sit down and relax. I have to say that one night really wasn't enough. We would love to come and spend at least 3 nights and really get the chance to make the most of the place and explore the gorgeous little towns that surround it.

Amazingly private and spacious room with Balinese inspired decor. Tasty continental brekkie basket provided with yummy local yoghurt. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the room and outlook so much we didn’t feel the need to go out much. Just chilled with books and coffee.

The bed was very uncomfortable. And the room was cold. There was an air con, but it is so high and Im not it was even working. There is a wood stove, but almost no kindling and definitely no smaller wood to actually get a fire going. There was only one small spare blanket. Most of the cutlery and plates were dirty and had to be washed before use. The bathroom was great and the general space was lovely. The scenery spectacular.

We stayed in nusa dua and it had beautiful views from the large balcony. Spa bath was great. Host was lovely & checked in to see if we needed anything. Unit had everything we needed & was very comfortable. Only gripe was bad TV reception & broken TV remote. We would stay again.

Friendly owner checked us in giving us great info on local dining establishments. Beautiful property that was secluded and quiet. We had an older style bungalow which was well equipped and comfortable for a short stay. The bungalow was smaller than I had realised and was located towards the bottom of the property so none of the spectacular views they had from the top. It would be nice to have had a more comfortable table and chairs set on the veranda more in keeping with the Balinese theme. It was nice having a wood heater in the room and also a spa. Nice place to stay however if you’re looking to just chill out at the property would recommend staying in the newer, bigger dwellings which offer more room to move.

We liked that the units were private and the view was lovely. It was quiet except for a bit of road noise but that is to be expected with the location. I did feel the units are a little dated and not like the pictures. The crockery was chipped and the towels were fraying around the edges.

This resort situated between Montville and Maleny is an ideal place for a romantic weekend away. Each cabin is set away from each other and overlook the valley and the lake. The furnished balcony provides an ideal view of the sunset and the fog rolling in over the lake in the morning. The bungalow itself is spacious and well appointed with an ensuite bathroom and a separate kitchen/living room. The wood fire was a great touch as it got a little chilly in the evening. Overall a beautiful weekend away in an awesome resort that we would stay at again without hesitation.

This is a lovely and relaxing place to stay. The rooms are very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The sunset views over the lake are stunning. The owner made us feel most welcome. I hope we can go back again sometime and hopefully for more than just one night.

Maleny Tropical Retreat was the perfect venue to host our girls reunion. The 2 bedroom Nusa Dua room was spacious and well equipped with a wood burning fire (well used during our early spring stay where nights were chilly) and functional kitchen (cooktop and Convection microwave oven included). Located between Melany and Montville, we had easy access to the local communities for fresh produce. Our hosts were friendly, checking in on us a few times to ensure we had all we need, and refreshing the firewood and kindling as needed.

Maleny Tropical Retreat was the perfect venue to host our girls reunion. We were delayed due to airport issues arriving at Maleny Tropical Retreat extremely late at 11:45 pm. However Ken the owner was very hospitable and nothing seemed too much trouble. The communication each day was excellent and more than happy to recommend this peaceful tropical retreat. It is good value, peaceful and location is great.

Our stay at Maleny Tropical Retreat was excellent. Our midweek sojourn was upgraded at a very reasonable price to the green villa. The villa was very comfortable and our host made sure we had a plentiful supply of wood for a most efficient fire place. Our continental breakfast was appreciated as was the terrific view from the verandah.

Amazingly private and spacious room with Balinese inspired decor. Tasty continental brekkie basket provided with yummy local yoghurt. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the room and outlook so much we didn’t feel the need to go out much. Just chilled with books and coffee.

Gorgeous view to watch the sun go down and then stargaze. Enjoyed a bubbly spa and then lit the fire. Enjoyed a home delivered dinner and unwound after a big day of exploring. Serene.

The retreat was beautiful. Great views, long deck, lovely sunbeds to laz around on. The fridge had been pre stocked with maleny yoghurts, milk, fruit, bread, honey and marmalades, vegemite. And cereal on the bench. They had two microwaves, cling wrap, oven with pots and pans. pre stocked dish washing liquids, soaps and shampoos. Double spa bath and large double showers. We kept very warm at night with the fire place. It was great!!

Beautiful views and so peaceful, amazing sunsets. If you want a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere by the fireplace or on the deck to get away from the world. I would totally recommend this place. I will be going back.

We are a couple who stayed in the Benoa room for 1 night and we had an excellent stay. The place was easy to find super easy check in and our room/villa was fantastic. The view is beautiful and to be able to see the lake is very special it’s very recharging and quiet. The room had a full kitchen with everything you need, good bathroom with a double shower, large & comfortable bed and the 2 person spa bath. Would definitely recommend. We also went for Dinner at the Montville Cafe & Grill as recommended by the host as they have a courtesy van and we would absolutely recommend nice to have place with mulled wine where you can sit outside.

Only thing I would suggest, is a height clearance given for the carport. We are 1.8m and just fit. There was no where to park, next to our cabin if we were higher, or had the roof rack on. This is an amazing place as all the pictures depict.

Great little spot for a get away. I was a bit disappointed that the pictures shown were only of the big house we thought we had secured but our cabin was small with no views.
