The stay here was fine: rooms are very clean and no problems getting checked in. The property itself is old, but theyve done a nice job remodeling and keeping it clean. The pool looked really nice; didn’t get time to try it, but may come back in the winter. Location is perfect, in the heart of Hood River! I’d stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay! Very clean. Easy walk to town shops and restaurants. The pool was a fun bonus, only wish the hot tub wasn't closed for repairs.

Friendly staff, lots of parking, great view of Mt Adam’s and the Columbia River from the parking lot. The bed was very comfortable. I did not use the pool, but it was nice that they had one! A little out of downtown, but there is one restaurant nearby.

Front desk check in representative was very friendly and kind. #17 was in kind of rough shape although everything mostly worked. There were rips in the duvets, some missing bulbs in the lights, the hot tub was empty with a sign that said "Waiting to be repaired" the pool deck had a very large crack and hole in it, and there was no bathroom available at the pool. The Satellite TV and pool access saved this trip, as well as being walking distance to the Egg River Cafe.

The building we were in was like new! Very clean, updated carpets in hallways. The room with treat for families with the room separation, fridge, microwave. The pool/spa area was in our building and great. Indoors with views of the water and Mt Hood. Gorgeous. Would def recommend to travelers looking for a night or 2 for a comfy stay.

If you want to spend under $300 in the summer, this place is the way to go. Our room felt a little dirty and when we were walking on the floor barefoot our feet turned black. The staff is very kind. The hot tub isn’t working and it wasn’t working when we stayed here 3 years ago, so don’t count on using it. Pool is small but perfect for my kids.

Just stayed for a night and chose this hotel for its price and location. It's an easy walk into town and there's a fantastic breakfast restaurant 200' away. The bathroom sink was extremely slow to drain, but more frustrating was the poor to non-existent wifi. Stayed here last year and would likely stay again.

Very clean room, like the non-carpet flooring. My room felt like it was made for a very tall person, tall ceiling, high mirror, high bed but there’s no problem with that! The water pressure was low and temperature a little cold in the shower; not sure whether that’s a problem with the room or a general issue.

The location was convenient to going downtown. The neighborhood was quiet. Parking was convenient and the pool / hot tub area looked clean. To say there is a river view is technically correct, depending upon where you’re standing. The view from our window was of a residential side yard being used for parking by locals. The mattresses were okay but one bed frame squeaked whenever one moved and the linens were sub par. The other furniture in the room was oversized and made moving around awkward. We were in a “remodeled” section of the hotel, which was suggested because it afforded two separate rooms for privacy, which my daughter liked the idea of. However, the lay out of the room(s) was strange, with the entry from an enclosed hallway being into the first room with a bed but no windows or AC, then a doorway to a second room, with a jack and Jill bathroom. If the person in the first room wanted privacy by closing the door they could not get fresh air, natural light, nor the benefit of AC.

It was a little inconvenient that the office was not open after 10. We had to email a photo of drivers license and credit card, and pick up our key from a dropbox. Then when we arrived in our room, it was only a queen size bed. Our reservation said that the room slept three. I don’t know if this is Expedia‘s fault or the hotel‘s fault, but our eight-year-old son had to sleep with us. There was no couch or futon. That being said, the clerk that I spoke with was very pleasant and accommodating, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had flow issues, but it did get us clean. Overall, we felt like it was a good value, but we wouldn’t stay there again unless we were very sure we could arrive before 8 PM.

Not sure how this place has 8/10 stars… The lady at the front was quite unfriendly, she was short and snarky like we were inconveniencing her. Called early in the day and asked if we could check in early, we had a wedding at 4 we needed to get ready for, she said no checkin is at 3, period. Got there about 2:45 and were then told checkin was at 4, even though in my confirmation email and over the phone it was confirmed 3. Got to our room, it was pretty shabby & dated, very poor lighting which made getting ready tough. Morning of checkout someone knocked on our door @ 10:45 to “check on us”. Then someone called at 11 on the dot to ask when we were leaving and that we had 15 mins to be out. Overall just a very poor experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone Location was convenient and price was decent, parking was good, and there are two breakfast / brunch spots within walking distance. Those are the only good things I have to say

Not sure how this place has 8/10 stars… The lady at the front was quite unfriendly, she was short and snarky like we were inconveniencing her. Called early in the day and asked if we could check in early, we had a wedding at 4 we needed to get ready for, she said no checkin is at 3, period. Got there about 2:45 and were then told checkin was at 4, even though in my confirmation email and over the phone it was confirmed 3. Got to our room, it was pretty shabby & dated, very poor lighting which made getting ready tough. Morning of checkout someone knocked on our door @ 10:45 to “check on us”. Then someone called at 11 on the dot to ask when we were leaving and that we had 15 mins to be out. Overall just a very poor experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone Location was convenient and price was decent, parking was good, and there are two breakfast / brunch spots within walking distance. Those are the only good things I have to say

We stayed two nights with our 5 year old and dog. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. It had everything we needed. It had a mini fridge and microwave which was really convenient for us since we brought food and snacks with us. They have a great grassy area for the dogs too. We walked to breakfast both days. Downtown is a quick 3 minute drive. We didn’t get to enjoy the indoor pool but maybe next time. We would definitely stay here again. Can’t beat the rates and it was exactly what we needed in order to explore the area and come back to a comfortable, safe space. Highly recommend.

Staff was helpful getting early check in. One room had clogged sink and half the lights didn’t work. Second room had very noisy air conditioning and shower fixture was difficult to use. Both rooms could have used a small table and second chair along with two nightstands.

We had such a nice stay here. The staff is so wonderful- they are really sweet and helpful. The pool is small, but clean. The rooms are clean, spacious, and the bathrooms are really nice. Good location- we were able to walk downtown and to the little market easily. Beautiful views and good value!

Riverview Lodge is in a nice location and has a view of the river and gorge area. Restaurants and stores are within walking distance and the downtown area is a short drive. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We extended our stay in Hood River and managed to snag a room here last minute. AC worked great, queen bed felt small like maybe it was a full but it was comfortable enough. Shower was good, plenty of warm water. Sinktop was small but made sense in the space. The gliding barn door on the bathroom? Not sure whose idea that was but it kinda sucked. Parking was easy, the room was quite clean and spacious enough for two. All of the staff we encountered were super nice and seemed happy to have us. I use a travel sound machine so I can't comment on the room noise overnight.

Clean updated rooms, the grounds are well kept and the owners are nice people. Kinda odd setup for the bathroom door in unit 22, others likely the same, the light switch for the bathroom is behind the sliding door for the bathroom so the door must be slid shut to operate the switch from the outside. Also, wifi at the end of the hallway was spotty, maybe it is better closer to the office, not sure.
