Room could do with a spruce. The sofa bed was ripped on the cushions and arms, chair near the TV was broken. Make sure you get top floor as bottom floor you get more noise from above. If no parking spaces then you park on the grass. Breakfast you sit where you come into the entrance for reception which I didn't really like. Should be a separate area. People shouldn't be allowed to smoke near the entrance either, should be a separate area. Rooms for the price you get what you pay for! Not exactly the Ritz.

A very basic hotel with adequate resources. Appears to be a converted travel lodge. The shower was hot and there is good space in the family room, the TV workef ok. Bed very uncomfortable. They charge £10 for the dog. £55 per night . No parking charge. Basic breakfast of toast and cereal.

Nice basic hotel...very clean, quite dated but functional for a nights stay, staff were lovely and dogs were allowed which was a bonus.

Parking - care needs to be taken to ensure you park in the right place. The neighbours are aggressive and apply a £100 fine for every 90 minutes if parked illegally.

We chose this as an overnight stopover on a long journey and it was fine for that purpose. The staff were helpful and the room was clean. Breakfast was help yourself to cereal and toast or croissants. The only downside was the parking as there were imited spaces (we were advised not to park on the spaces for the restaurant next door as they issue fines). It was basic, but good value for a short stay.

Nice view from window in morning handy stopover on main road. Clean enough but hot stay as no air con but better second night as had a fan. Breakfast basic but does the job parking easy garage opposite expensive so steer clear to break journey up ideal at good price

Convenient for us, comfortable and clean with helpful staff. There was a nice footpath across fields to walk our dog within 100m of the hotel.

If you want to spend little money and hope for a pleasant Hotel to stay at, this is the place to go to. Comfy bed and good shower. Staff very helpful and plenty of free parking.

Redwings is a cheap budget hotel on the edge of the Village of Mocott off the A47. It looks like an X travelodge. Parking is convenient immediately outside. The rooms are a little tired with basic amenities. TV was working OK. The shower was hot and powerful. The WiFI only works in the centre of the hotel and drops out in the far rooms. Electric wall heater bearly adequate on the frosty nights. Breakfast is provided in the price but is fairly basic. For around £40 per night you cannot get much cheaper.

Clean room good staff

Redwings is great value for money. It’s clean and everything works - the shower is great. The breakfast is a okay - adequate but not great. Effort has been made to maintain the room, new carpet and surfaces. But, it felt a tiny bit damp might just be the early autumn, what I was unhappy with is the security particularly the windows given I had a downstairs room, I wouldn’t leave the windows open while sleeping. I was really unhappy on arrival to walk through a fog of cannabis smoke. I would not bring my wife here, but it’s ok for me. The best thing is the big room

This hotel was filthy Carpet was so sticky I had to wear flip flops The shower was full of mould on the tiles & shower curtain Very old dirty tiles in the bathroom the toilet had hair on it as did the sink The room itself just had a awful damp smell which made me feel sick The bed was so uncomfortable I woke up 4 times to move about in the bed I sat on the settee/sofa bed and nearly fell to the floor as it had a huge dip in it that really is unsafe to use had I been more older it could of been a different story The cup in the room had lipstick on and generally spoil it my weekend away I await your reply

No one emptied my bin or cleaned my sink during my 3 night stay. Slight odour to place but ok. Breakfast very basic so wouldn't cater for dietary requirements

We are happy and enjoy to stay in this hotel. one thing that should be noticed about the odour of the corridor. It should be sprayed with (put the plug of) air freshener to make it fresh along the corridor. We paid with the very good price compare the similar hotel near the area where we stayed.

This place is the definition of cheap and cheerful, and in a good way. At around £40 a night for a room with a kingsized bed and a sofa bed, en suite and a simple breakfast, it's as good as anything else you could get. The water is hot from the taps, the kettle has full sized mugs and tea and coffee (decaf and caf) available 24/7. The breaky is toast, cereals, yoghurts, orange or apple juice and tea or coffee. There is a microwave, so you can take something more exotic to cook yourself. The room is large and comfortable. The bathroom has towels, soaps and shower gels. The staff are all very friendly and helpful - litterally cheerful in everything they did. The location is quite handy for everything south of Rutland Water, from Oakham to Market Harborough, or further. The A47 is fairly quiet for a major trunk road and the hotel is set back. Next door is an indian restaurant which does have a cafe and bar, from breakfast till late. The petrol station has fuel at a good price and a Londis for any essentials you may need. OK, this place isn't perfect, as the carpets needed vacuuming, the windows were not very clean / had blown seals. Our bathroom light was having a teenage strop. You switched it on, it would huff and puff, and eventually do as you asked. There are only 2 sockets in our room, and the TV is in one and the Kettle in another, so you do need to swap and change ifyou're charging phones, etc. The room has a portable fan to help cool down on hot days.

The bed dipped in the middle and was very uncomfortable, the toilet door was stuck so needed to be pushed very forcefully to get out, and the lock was hanging, the toilet seat was very wobbly and you nearly ended up on the floor, the whole room needed maintence.

Great value, the free breakfast is simple but adequate. I really like the large rooms

A very pleasant overnight stay in a Travelodge style room away from the main road. A good continental breakfast completed an en enjoyable experience marred only by the mattress appearing to be way beyond its sell by date

Nice spacious room with a comfortable bed although not keen on the pillows. Clean. Tv has no remote control which was delivered when I told them the following day. A couple of critiques would be better qualify coffee making facilities in the room. And please better quality bread to toast at breakfast. Ive stayed here over many years on the week of the KC agilty festival and for those competing its a good motel if you have dogs. Staff always helpful.

Couldnt sit and eat breakfast as there was only 3 tables for hundreds of guests also the locks didnt work in my room and had to change rooms for my safety. But the staff were really nice and friendly

Great staff. Very friendly. Unfortunately we did have one dirty bed but they did offer a new room which I couldn’t take due to my little one falling asleep on the clean bed so I took a clean sheet for the room instead. They were apologetic

Located near the main trunk road between Peterborough and Leicester near a small village, there is an Indian restaurant next door with very nice food. The hotel provides a cold buffet breakfast in the morning with cereals, toast, yoghurt, fruit and croissants and is available from 6.00am An enjoyable one night stay for business

Middle of nowhere

It was a great stay with my dog who was very settled overnight. Clean room with comfy beds. Good basic breakfast. Easy parking. Good access to A1.

Excellent value in a convenient location for business trips to Rutland. Simple, self serve breakfast included. One of the older Travelodge properties now under new ownership - it's all fine and does the job.

It is a functional space with everything you need. The light breakfast of cereal and toast was a nice touch.

We only stayed one night but the bedroom was clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. The free breakfast was adequate but unfortunately the area around reception was quite small. We managed our breakfast sitting on the sofa no problem. Very reasonably priced and we will return sometime in the future. Staff very friendly. Thanks.

I like it here, always nipping clean - I’ve stayed several times and will again. Nice sized rooms. TV& WIFI are good enough. The breakfast is just right, if you just want a quick efficient launch for your day

Cheap, basic, clean. They offer a basic breakfast that i didnt expect. Beds were comfy, showers could do with updating but it worked.
