The check-in was smooth. The room was well equipped, the staff was pleasant and the restaurant with outdoor dining enjoyable. There was limited parking but overall we had a great experience. We definitely stay there again.

Check in was easy. Hotel was very nice and seemed updated. Room was clean. I think we were given an ADA room versus the standard we had booked. My only complaint is lack of parking. We had to leave our car on the street. We really didn’t use the hotel other than to sleep as we were visiting our son that lives in the area.

Perfect Overnight in Brunswick, easy in easy out, on my way downeast. Inn is right in town near Bowdoin and all amenities. Sadly restaurant is not open 7 days (check hours) but there are great alternatives in town.

Location was very good! Loved the “veranda” for coffee or other beverages. Patio was also very pleasant! Room was spacious, clean, and quiet! Very enjoyable stay!

Was so peaceful. Had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent! Loved the patio in the back to be able to sit by the fire and have a drink. Also enjoyed having a cup of coffee each morning while sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch. Great experience!

The Brunswick Hotel is very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The location is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Parking was easy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The elevator was not operating well on the first day, but stairs were fine.

Our room was VERY dusty. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are way too thick. When we mentioned that the room was very not as clean as it should have been to the women at the desk she could barely apologize for that. It was like an inconvenience to her. And one window didn’t lock which for a bottom floor room was obviously not good. She said she’d have the cleaning lady check it out and sent us on our way.

Disappointing for the price. Very over-priced. Room wasn’t anything special and we found a left behind sock on the floor, hair in the shower, what looked like mold on the ceiling in the shower. At breakfast we had to give back food with visible mold on it as well. Three nights here cost us more than $1500 CAD. We never spend this much on hotels so our expectations were really high. Probably won’t book again as the competition is half the price and offers the same amenities.

It was good except our kids have allergies and by the morning they were really sick and we noticed that the ac unit was covered in black mold. I let the front desk know when we checked out and I was surprised that they didn’t compensate us in any way.

Lovely part of town...but the property is starting to show its age, especially in the bathroom. I had bugs in mine :/ Otherwise, it's a great place to stay. I just think it's do for a little refresh.

Hotel has a beautiful esthetic from the street. You walk in to see a sitting area with a roaring fire in the fireplace. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Pointed out a few of the local points of interest. When we pointed out that we were there for the Christmas Tree Lighting, the front desk attendant LIT UP with excitement! Room was very comfortable and clean. Beautiful tile work in the bathroom, which was enormous for hotels at this price point!!! Room was comfortable and well lit. Bed was perfect for us!

I absolutely loved my stay here; I had never been in a hotel quite like this before. It’s truly something special and different for us. One of the highlights is how beautiful the hotel is—especially the stunning flowers outside that create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The lobby has a lovely floral scent that greets you as soon as you open the doors, which adds to the charm. The restaurant was excellent, and we enjoyed a wonderful dining experience. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, filled with natural light, and incredibly cozy. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel—it's a fantastic place to stay, and I would definitely visit again. 100%!

Pleasantly surprised at how nice it was, as well as how friendly and accommodating the staff was upon arrival and when recommending places for running or dinner. Only complaint would be that the desk chair was not the most comfortable for extended period of time, and material not so breathable.

Very nice renovation of the hotel and restaurant. Excellent light dinner. Nicely appointed room. Convenient checkin/out. I took off one star on the property because I could not turn off the (slightly) noisy HVAC unit. Plenty of cool air opening a window!

This hotel is nicer than the chains, and also more expensive. The decor is nice, the room size average. The bathrooms need to be renovated; they currently have the old plastic tub/shower enclosure. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent, but be sure to make reservations. Not sure if we would stay here again, but we would return to the restaurant!

We had a great time at the Brunswick Hotel. The staff was outstanding (especially Kayla). The property is a prime location and central to shopping and restaurants. Easy walking to just about everything. When they light up the fireplace(s) in the evening its a pleasant place to relax in the sitting areas. The inhouse bar/restaurant serves a higher end supper on certain days. The bar is well stocked and creative. The continental breakfast is very good. Overall a great property in the area and a great central location to many of the local attractions and surrounding towns.

Both nights we had a very strong smell of marijuana enter our room. The front desk offered to move us the first night, which was fine. However, the next night, after being assured that there was nobody else on our floor (we could hear people in the room next to us), not only did the man at the front desk lie to us about nobody being on the floor, but when he came to our room to investigate the smell, he thought it would be a good idea to gaslight us by offering the most ridiculous possibilities for the smell. The smell was coming through the wall & he said he could move us again. My wife said she didn’t want to move again & that the people smoking the marijuana on the floor should be the ones to move. He said again that there was no one on the floor even though we heard the door open & close several times. There is a gleam of good news though. Their beds & pillows are really comfortable! This hotel will not be at the top of our list if we’re ever in the area again.

He said again that there was no one on the floor even though we heard the door open & close several times. There is a gleam of good news though. Their beds & pillows are really comfortable! This hotel will not be at the top of our list if we’re ever in the area again.

The people here are so friendly. We came to Brunswick via train, arriving at 12:30. We walked a block to the hotel, the room was ready and we were given suggestions for walkable lunch spots. Finding transportation to the Portland Airport was challenging the next day but we were offered numerous suggestions and an assurance they’d help us find a way. We will be back.

Convenient location, clean and well-appointed rooms, and terrific staff. We were contacted a day ahead of our stay for any questions or requests, which was a very nice touch.

This is a nice enough place, but it’s important to understand that you’re paying for the convenient location more than anything else. That’s no small thing because it’s literally a 5-minute walk to the Bowdoin College campus or the Brunswick downtown area. However, I can imagine someone expecting luxury for what you pay in the busy seasons. The breakfast is very basic and the room we had was comfortable and clean and not much more. We had to wait almost an hour after check-in time for our room to be ready. (I’m guessing they’re short-handed.) If proximity is your priority and you keep your expectations in check, you’ll be fine.

The hotel was very nice and walking distance from train station. We arrived at 7:30pm on the train and wanted to get dinner but most restaurants were closed on Mondays. We were fortunate enough to find Portland Pies open and had a very good dinner. We were told by the front desk there are no Uber or Lyft drivers there. There are taxis but could take 45min to 1 hr wait.

Last minute late night booking and was pleasantly surprised with this quiet and charming hotel. Staff upon check-in were lovely and accommodating. Room was spacious and had an amazingly comfortable bed with very nice sheets. Pillows are amazing. Complimentary toiletries and bottled water added to a great relaxing evening after a long day on the road. Breakfast was a little hum-drum run of the mill stuff, but property and good sleep made up for it! Would definitely recommend to others, and would absolutely re-book if in the area again.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean, the bed was comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel was extremely good, but not inexpensive. The provided coffee and continental breakfast in the morning.

I was surprised to be charged $20.00 for breakfast when I checked in. My companions were not charged for breakfast. The breakfast was very disappointing. There was no hot or warm food, cold rolls, hard boiled eggs, cheese and old meat. I assumed that the Expedia reservation would include breakfast. Next time I will decline to pay fro breakfast.

This is a very nice, clean, New England themed property in the heart of downtown Brunswick. Rooms were well equiped and modern. Breakfast was more than adequate. The one criticism: the property strongly promotes, through posters, email, and text message, it's on-property restaurant. It appears to be quite nice. But when we arrived there we were told that they were unable to accept anyone without a reservation for dinner because they only had 2 servers on duty. Not a good look.

Major problem on Thanksgiving morning. Breakfast is included and we arrived with our children at 7:30 and the dining room is closed due to the 11am brunch. Booked guests were not accommodated for breakfast seating. We were forced to sit on floor in lobby and around lobby area with our food. Normally this is a great property, however who was ever in charge handled this situation extremely poorly.

The TV did not work in our room. I called down. They said they would fix it in the morning. We were only staying for a day. Only one elevator was functioning, which made it very difficult to get up and down the floors. You’d have to wait long periods of time the toilet, barely flushed and honestly wasn’t that nice as it’s portrayed in the photos. I would not stay here again.

Overall good hotel, but very expensive for what it is. Stayed on the second floor and the room was very noisy with conversations and people walking in the room above, which was a big negative at this price point.
