Place is very clean, convenient, friendly staff and plenty of parking. Short stroll to the town and the restaurants. I was super happy with my stay and great value for money. As per the photos, rooms are not flashy but does the job well.

The managers live on site and as a solo traveller I always feel very safe when I stay there. The rooms are really clean and the beds are comforatble. The Railway Lodge is not on the noisy highway, like most motels in Taree. I always have a great sleep & now there is a light breakfast included in the very reasonable rate. I enjoy the great value and genuine hospitality.

In three days, no servicing of the room -- no cleaning or making of bed.. Run the taps for 15 minutes to get hot water, inner door lock broken or inoperable, "boiled towel".-- incorrect internet password (?). Generally, not even 3 stars for this lot. It should not even be listed.

When we arrived we were taken to a very small room which had a double. We asked for a bigger room as we were staying 3 nights it didn’t happen. We had to get the sheets removed as they were soiled. The room didn’t get serviced.Breakfast was basic cereal n toast.Staff we courteous

You get what you pay for. I WAS only after a single room for a single night, so this room fitted the bill. The bed was comfortable BUT: The Bar Fridge had the temp dial removed, making it hard to get the fridge DECENTLY cold; The A/C kept turning off all night, needing to be restarted each time; The Front Door didn't lock (I had to lock the screen door); The shower took 6 mins to run a stream of HOT water; AND it's called the Railway Lodge because it backs onto the Rail Shunting Yards(as I found out at 4.15am on the morning of my departure). All in all, not an overly enjoyable night's stay.

I cannot fault the Staff & Management at the Railway Lodge Motel Taree. They have bent over backwards to ensure my stay was enjoyable. All cudos to them. I can certainly highly recommend ☺️.

Simple accommodation. We only stayed 1 night as we were breaking up a long journey. Friendly staff. Interesting decorations. We appreciated the free simple breakfast of toast & spreads, fruit, tea, coffee, juice and banana bread. We had a fantastic dinner down town at Twohans. It’s a must try Korean BBQ! Super delicious 😋

Værelset vi havde booket var som en fængselscelle og med en jernseng, som larmede voldsomt meget. Vi fik opgraderet til et meget større værelse med terrasse og en meget større seng for 20 dollars. Morgenmaden var alt for simpel - ingen yoghurt, æg eller feigt. Desuden var borde og bænke udenfor ikke blevet tørret af o meget lang tid, hvilket den søde receptionist prøvede at gøre med en sprayflaske og køkkenrulle, hvilket ikke blev særlig godt.

It's an older style place but clean and comfortable none the less. My single room was a bit squeezy but comfortable enough. Good location near town and the bowls club is next door. A shout out to the receptionist who was most helpful.

Filthy and completely unacceptable. Do not stay here. This place looks nothing like the photos. I understand older style motels, but there's no excuse for the level of filth here, old can still be clean, and this absolutely wasn't. The room clearly hasn't had a proper clean in a long time. There was heavy build up of grime and dust around the base of the toilet, and the shower hadn't been cleaned at all, hair throughout the recess and visible grime in the grout. The recess was damp when I checked in, as though some one had showered and left before I arrived. The fridge was also in poor condition, with spills and residue that hadn't been wiped out for quite some time. Even the front of the TV and microwave had marks and splatters on them. Coffee and tea was on offer but no coffee or teacups? The only positive was that the linen appeared clean, which I made sure to check. The setup of the room is also impractical, the TV faced the opposite wall, not the bed, so you're forced to sit on an uncomfortabel chair to watch it. The only window is the beside the door which faced into a small common courtyard. If you had your curtain open, the room opposite or people walking past can see straight into yours. If you are looking for a clean budget friendly option go to Crescent Motel or Marco Polo, much better!

Filthy and completely unacceptable. Do not stay here. This place looks nothing like the photos. I understand older style motels, but there's no excuse for the level of filth here, old can still be clean, and this absolutely wasn't. The room clearly hasn't had a proper clean in a long time. There was heavy build up of grime and dust around the base of the toilet, and the shower hadn't been cleaned at all, hair throughout the recess and visible grime in the grout. The recess was damp when I checked in, as though some one had showered and left before I arrived. The fridge was also in poor condition, with spills and residue that hadn't been wiped out for quite some time. Even the front of the TV and microwave had marks and splatters on them. Coffee and tea was on offer but no coffee or teacups? The only positive was that the linen appeared clean, which I made sure to check. The setup of the room is also impractical, the TV faced the opposite wall, not the bed, so you're forced to sit on an uncomfortabel chair to watch it. The only window is the beside the door which faced into a small common courtyard. If you had your curtain open, the room opposite or people walking past can see straight into yours.
