Door didn't lock properly. There was a clear plastic bag covering the smoke alarm.

The side door would not lock, I’m guess why there were so many cameras around. The website also said there would be continental breakfast and there was not. Overall it was an okay stay for one night.

Continental breakfast was a joke. Coffee was left in the coffe marker from previous guest. Holly sheets. Ice marker didnt work. Bed was shot could feel the springs poking you all night. No one behind frint desk had to always call and wait for help when needing anything. Charged 145 dollars a night. I had better sevce and comfort in hotels that i only paid 75 dollars a night in. Very disappointing and a waste of my money.

People grilling outside the front doors when we arrived made us uncomfortable. The manager was very slow to come to the desk to check us on. Doors that were supposed to be locked were propped open

Horribly saggy bed. No housekeeping. Dirty carpet. Broken ice machine. Flickering fluorescent light over sink. No shampoo. No coffee. Key didn’t work and had to be redone. Staff not around when needed. Our last visit last year was so much better. What happened?

We needed a stop to get us from point A to point B. It fit the bill perfectly. Clean room, good parking, continental breakfast was good enough, easy access.

Yes no heat was on. It was so cold. Only one light blanket on the bed. Not 1 cup in the room to use. The microwave turn plate was broken. The ice machine was not working. Bread and bagels had nothing to put on them, not much else to eat. Don't want to go back there.

Rips and holes in all the linens, missing a lightbulb in a lamp, light over vanity won’t turn on, room desperately needed a paint job, floor not vacuumed, having to plug in the clock myself, the security lock was missing so we had to put a chair in front of the door, the “breakfast included from 6am to 9am” consisted of granola bars, bananas, and oranges(no cups available near the coffee maker), and no one at the front desk this morning for check out so I could notify them of the issues that we had.

Room was nice only tv & air was working we had to ask if it was ok to plug in the microwave, refrigarater & coffee maker, my wife looked to see how to make coffee & following instructions , to lift the lid only to find mold inside where the water was to be put in, she took it to the front dest & the lady told her they didn't have extras & the morning coffee goes to perk by 5:30 am, went to get ice & it was down or broken, the curtains were to short for the width of the window, curtains had several small holes in them morning checkout was a wait!

When we first arrived in our room, the heat was turned off and it took 4 hours for the room to warm up to 72 degrees! We had to wear our street clothes and jackets to bed to stay warm. The smoke alarm in the room was covered with a plastic bag. The mattress was lumpy and had springs in it that you could feel. The sheets and pillowcases were well worn and had some holes. We stayed on New Years Eve and the motel was very quiet with not very many occupants. If the bedding had been nicer, and the heat had been on, we would have felt much better about our stay. The room was very clean, as well as the rest of the property.

Definitely not what I expected for my money ($199/2 nights). Good thing the room had 2 beds as the first one I pulled the blankets back on looked as though it hadn't been changed after last guest. There were no pillowcases on the [blood?] stained pillows which were torn and well past their expected usage. The bed I used was lumpy and very uncomfortable. The WiFi didn't work and the cable TV kept cutting out (good thing I brought a book). On the wall near the toilet was a (drip) stain which looked like it had spots of mold on it. The towels were very old and worn. There was no ice bucket in the room and the hair dryer did not work. The continental breakfast consisted of a Keurig coffee machine, a gallon of milk and a jug of OJ in the small fridge w/one container of yogurt. Where you would expect to find bagels/muffins/donuts were small packages of mini cookies and crackers. My first night I had to call the front desk to have the people/children above me to stop jumping off the beds and running around at 11:30pm. Also at approximately 8:30-9p my room started smelling of some kind of ethnic food (maybe curry/garlic?). It was so strong I had to turn on the bathroom fan and AC to pull out some of the horrid smells! Yes, I should have camped in a tent!!

Room was very clean and very roomy. Once I figured out the air conditioner it worked fine. Bathroom also ok. The breakfast area was clean but very little to offer, which didn't really surprise me. Check in went ok, but it seemed like the person behind the desk was a fill-in because she seemed a little confused. But she was very pleasant.

Bed was comfortable. Fist-sized hole through bathroom door (I was made aware of this before accepting the room). I crashed through the desk chair the first time I sat down on it (it was replaced with a nice chair in an expedient manner). The main light above the vanity did not work at all. The room and bathroom were very clean. My interaction with various staff members was very pleasant.

Upon arrival to our room the heat was turned off. It was twenty some degrees out and took 3 hours to get the room warm. If you know you’re going to assign a room the heat should be on in winter months. Also there were cigarette burns on our bedding. Old food in the refrigerator we threw away and can tell it wasn’t cleaned with care.

We had two rooms for the weekend. One much better than the other but even with that the good rooms bed didnt have pillowcases, and bedsheets had yellow stains on them. The second room was absolutely terrible! Sign on door says non smoking but the room stank so bad like smoke. Also must of been pet friendly because there was evidence of its feces on the floor. The air conditioner didn't work, the cord looked like it had been on fire. Water barely came out of shower. Do not recommend !

As you walked in it smelled horribly of cigarette smoke BUT it was only because someone was sitting outside in front of door smoking. Not hotels fault but it had me wondering at first if this was going to be okay to stay. desk person was very nice and helpful. Room was quiet. The sheets smelled clean and the room was clean. Older property but no major complaints.

The beds were saggy. The coverlets were full of lint and stuff. Floor dirty. The continental breakfast was a couple of bananas and oranges, yogurt in the refrigerator with no spoons, orange juice and no glasses, coffee but no cups, no cereal, no bakery. TV sporadic.

Short springy beds

The motel has great potential but really needs maintenance and a little better service. In our room, the toilet was loose, the light over the sink did not work, WiFi didn't work, plugs world not stay in the outlet near the mirror and there was some random buzzing noise that happened throughout the night. The person at the desk was not friendly, did not give us the WiFi password until we asked (then it would connect but no interest) and they did not answer the phone (around suppertime).

Check in was fine. She charged a 4.99 hotel fee which I have never had before above and beyond my final rate. The room was very clean but the bed was super hard. I would definitely stay here again.

My grandchildren and I have been coming here twice a year and we always stay here. The people are very friendly and the beds are comfortable.

These beds are the worst I have ever been in, u can feel the springs in your back, Worst ever night sleep in my life, I go to other countries and their beds are better than these 1950's 2 inch mattress... What a disappointment 😔

The wifi didn't reach out room. Smoke detector had no battery. Breakfast options was a small box of cereal a few yogurts, and croissants both days I stayed.

My grandson and I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. It was also very quiet and close to main street of Stanley. We will be back.

This is a very old property.

Room and facilities definitely older. Mattress very worn out.

Needed a place to stop and sleep. This was fine. Just took a while to check in

The room was clean and comfortable but there was NO ONE EVER at the front desk and there was no phone in the room to call the front desk for help with any issues. As for the complementary breakfast, we were offered snack sized bags of cookies. And the biggest issue was the lack of security! they never asked for ID when checking in OR to get a room key made. So anyone could ask for a room number and get into anyone’s room! VERY DANGEROUS and unsettling!

Don’t count on breakfast. They had lucky charms and fig spread. No bread or cups for coffees or waffles but they do have maple syrup . Went to the desk and no one came in the morning after calling and ringing the bell. Room was decent and it was very cheap.

Well check in was fine, but after our first night, partner and I were having a personal moment and the housekeeping MAN walked right into our room, didnt even knock. I felt so violated. We got dressed and went straight to the front desk and the owner to say the least is a greedy and non understanding woman. Wouldnt do anything about it but in fact call the police on us. Said he was fired but still having him work the week. Worst service and stay ever. We couldnt go anywhere else and the police basically stated she couldnt kick us out. Do NOT stay at this establishment. She wouldnt even give us a comp or anything to make us feel good about staying there. Breakfast was horrible. Over charged. Broken toilet seat. Dust. Garbage and change behind the TV. List goes on.

Upon our arrival there was on one at the desk to check us in. Left a message on a number they had us call and they called back 3 hours later. Left after 10 minutes of waiting for call back.

This is a convenient option for people visiting family at the remote Stanley Correctional Institution who often have to travel long distances.
