Wonderful Motel in Wilmington, NY (Whiteface Mountain) with updated casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and an onsite restaurant and bar that provide delicious, thoughtful, and farm fresh cuisine and cocktail, mocktail, beer, cider, and wine options. The newly renovated double room included a mini fridge, free wifi, flat screen TV with cable, and air conditioning, among other amenities. The motel is dog friendly (call ahead to ensure room is pet friendly and pay small pet fee). 1 minute drive/6 minutes walk to downtown Wilmington and about 20 minutes from Lake Placid. Other onsite amenities include a communal kitchen, ski tuning room, outdoor fire pit, seating areas (covered and uncovered), community grille, and weekend breakfast buffet (try the muffins). Just a few minutes drive to local hiking spots. Adirondack Chocolate and Gift Shop is just around the corner accessible via sidewalk. Would Highly Recommend 10/10

We had the greatest time! The mountain was so close and the comfort and hospitality of Cadence was such a BONUS! The outdoor pavilion was a great hangout after a long day on the mountain! The gas fireplace was warm and cozy which allowed us to spread out and visit with our friends! We'll be back!

This was a great experience. The restaurant was amazing. The food was so delicious and the staff was very friendly. And if you are on a budget, you can bring and cook your own food on the grill or in the shared kitchen. I would definitely stay there again.

The cadence lodge is a classic 50’s era lodge that has been modernized while retaining the classic charm of that bygone era. Rooms were very clean with comfortable bedding. The onsite restaurant had great upscale food and drinks and the staff were all super friendly. Outside there was a pavilion with fire pit that was great to sit around at night.

We had a great time staying at Cadence Lodge. It is very close to Whiteface Mountain for skiing. It was a super cute room, and it was convenient to have a refrigerator and a coffee machine. They also have a shared kitchen with an oven, microwave, cooktop etc. We ate at the restaurant on a Sunday evening, and the food was excellent alongside the drinks and service. I loved the vegetarian options. We would have eaten there on Monday/Tuesday if they had been open. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay.

As people who often camp in tents, we are admittedly not picky about accommodations. But I was very, very happy with my stay here. Everything was clean, everyone was super friendly, and the outdoor area was such a nice offering. It allowed us to spread out beyond the basic motel room offered. I really liked the decor, the storage cubbies, and the restaurant as well. I would just suggest the hotel paint some parking space lines, as space gets wasted as soon as one or two people don't center their cars properly. Also, you may want to check the water pressure on the sink in room 38. I know you would have addressed this while we were there, but we didn't care too much since we spent most of our days out and about. Travelers should just be aware that this is a basic motel which is clean and updated with fun outdoor offerings, a free weekend breakfast and nice restaurant.

Quiet, in a beautiful town, close to all activies. Very good restaurant, nice welcoming, parking, good wifi, can use a kitchen with stuff you need to cook, laundry room, a cozy space with fireplace where you can chat with a drink, Bbq ... Love this place and will come back!!

Great place to stay near Whiteface Mountain. The motor lodge style property has been renovated and updated. Our room was very clean and had all we needed to make it a great trip. The wood ceilings and cubbies as you walk in add to the style. The room was clean, comfortable and WARM. It hit -24 degrees during our stay, but we were warm and cozy in the room. We felt at home and welcome. Shelley was helpful and attentive during our stay. Breakfast is made to order on weekends (included in the rate.) We will be back!

Room was very clean and spacious. Only downside was that the bathroom door didn’t slide closed all the way and couldn’t be locked. And the toilet chain kept getting stuck. But the biggest downside of our stay was the parking. We came back one evening to a full lot and had nowhere to go. There should be marked spaces with room numbers. Location was fantastic and the free weekend breakfast was some of the best complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had.

My friend and I did a last minute booking after a stop at Whiteface Mountain. We were so pleasantly surprised as how clean cute and welcoming the property was. Told myself I would definitely love to come back and stay here longer to enjoy the area. Great affordable find!

The rooms were very clean. It’s an old property that has been renovated and updated. Feels very cozy. Parking is tight but, it works fine. The complimentary, made to order weekend breakfast is delicious. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Most other patrons we ran into were very friendly. It felt similar to camping but, in a hotel room. They have a fire pit and you are in the shadow of Mount Whiteface. Myself, my wife, the kids and my dogs had a great stay.

We were pleasantly surprised by this property. The staff was great. Check in and check out were seemless. The room was clean and had a very cool vibe (vintage photos of Whiteface). The room was smallish but perfect for the two of us. There is no closet or dresser but lots of hooks and cubbies for storage. The bed was super comfortable. The only issue we had (and I had read about it on another review) was the floors are a bit chilly. We had brought slippers so it was okay. Overall a great place to stay. Definitely would go back!

Overall my stay was amazing! One of the nights people on either side of me had dogs that were barking and just would not shut up for about 2 hours until the owners came back. Thankfully they were only there for the night. Check in process was quick and easy, we were told about the complementary weekend breakfast (an actual hot cooked meal not just stale bagels and cereal) and nightly dinners for guests with a small bar. Food was great! And decently priced. we missed the good weather to sit out by the small outdoor firepit due to rain, but they did also have an enclosed gazebo with a propane fireplace with plenty of seating which was nice to relax in. The room we stayed in (26) was a decent size for including a king bed. There was a pass through for an adjoining room option (27) we only stayed in 26 however but the lock between the rooms seemed adequate. There was a small fridge/freezer for convenience inside what i would assume to be an old closet (several coat hooks in this area) the bathroom was a decent size but could be bigger in my opinion but it got the job done. shower was clean and pressure and hot water were adequate. the bed was not as comfortable as others ive slept in (to me the center seemed high and the edges seemed low could have been a new mattress that wasnt broken in yet for all i know) but the blankets were nice and warm. There were 3 different firmness pillows for each side plus a few throws for lounging the tv seemed to have a lot of channels.

What was unique about the property was the friendly staff. Always available and privately owned. They could not have been any more gracious and welcoming. What we didn't like was that the walls between the rooms were very thin. You could hear everything from the room next door.

This hotel offered small rooms with comfy beds. The shower heads were very low and we had issues with the hot water while we were there, but they were address immeidately after we broight it to their attention. We had the complimentary breakfast on the Sunday and it was good. The eating space and the hotel rooms are on the darker side. Overall it was a good experience.

Great place to stay near Whiteface Mountain. The motor lodge style property has been renovated and updated. Our room was very clean and had all we needed to make it a great trip. The wood ceilings and cubbies as you walk in add to the style. The room was clean, comfortable and WARM. It hit -24 degrees during our stay, but we were warm and cozy in the room. We felt at home and welcome. Shelley was helpful and attentive during our stay. Breakfast is made to order on weekends (included in the rate.) We will be back!

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Cadence Lodge. We had an excellent meal there the first night. We viewed the property and it's facilities and we're very impressed. The room was clean, comfortable and in good working order. We liked the Ski themed decorations in our room. The lodge offers a gas outdoor grill, a wonderful enclosed patio with power, water and a built in fireplace. You could bring your own steaks, cook them and eat outdoors. Staff there is friendly and accommodating to your needs. We will stay here again.

I loved everything. The ease of parking right outside of your room. The grounds were so pretty at night, kit up and a real fire pit. It was peaceful. Shelly and her staff were always available with any questions. I ate dinner the 1st night there and it was delicious and welcoming. I even extended my stay a night. I booked it to see the Olympics ice skating championships which was just a 15 minute drive. There really isn't anything around there to eat or shop so just got to Hannafords ahead of time.

We were welcomed by the owner, Shelley. She has been very proactive with doing ff ups about our check in time. She just want to make sure we are received well since they have limited hours at the reception. Our rooms are very neat and clean. I also love the complimentary breakfast but only offered on Saturday and Sunday. Loved our stay here. Will definitely come back.

Wonderful Motel in Wilmington, NY (Whiteface Mountain) with updated casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and an onsite restaurant and bar that provide delicious, thoughtful, and farm fresh cuisine and cocktail, mocktail, beer, cider, and wine options. The newly renovated double room included a mini fridge, free wifi, flat screen TV with cable, and air conditioning, among other amenities. The motel is dog friendly (call ahead to ensure room is pet friendly and pay small pet fee). 1 minute drive/6 minutes walk to downtown Wilmington and about 20 minutes from Lake Placid. Other onsite amenities include a communal kitchen, ski tuning room, outdoor fire pit, seating areas (covered and uncovered), community grille, and weekend breakfast buffet (try the muffins). Just a few minutes drive to local hiking spots. Adirondack Chocolate and Gift Shop is just around the corner accessible via sidewalk. Would Highly Recommend 10/10

Great location, very close to Whiteface and lots of hiking trails. We stayed here as they are Dog friendly. Check-in and out was easy and it was great to have a restaurant on site after a day of adventures. Get the Pork chop!

The rooms are very nicely and efficiently organized, and the service is outstanding. The dinners are of gourmet standard and the location under Whiteface is unrivalled. Plus, the village of Wilmington and its immediate surrounds are very attractive.

We had a great time staying at Cadence Lodge. It is very close to Whiteface Mountain for skiing. It was a super cute room, and it was convenient to have a refrigerator and a coffee machine. They also have a shared kitchen with an oven, microwave, cooktop etc. We ate at the restaurant on a Sunday evening, and the food was excellent alongside the drinks and service. I loved the vegetarian options. We would have eaten there on Monday/Tuesday if they had been open. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay.

Second time I have stayed at The Cadence Inn and was extremely satisfied. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable. New restaurant on site was fantastic!! Can’t wait to return!

The Cadence was great! Will definitely return. My only regret is that it wasn’t advertised that dining would be closed when we reserved, but we pivoted. 😊

A night away to celebrate our 22 years anniversary ands this place was an absolute pleasant surprise, the name is what caught my attention (our daughter is named Cadence) and the location was just far enough away to enjoy a day trip on the motorcycle plus visit the mtns. The onsite restaurant was wonderful service and the food was so good. This place is a hidden gem❤️

Upon arrival we were greeted and welcomed by Shelly, she is extremely helpful and very happy. I personally love it when they are genuinely friendly and happy! The room was very clean, had plenty of room and real coffee mugs! It’s the simple things in life! The bed was very comfortable and I slept great! The breakfast buffet was prepared by Mona and again a very happy, friendly employee who went out of her way to make sure we had anything and everything we wanted or needed, just as Shelly had done EVERYTIME we seen her. Mona is the Pastry Chef and let me tell you, she made the BEST carrot cake we have ever had!! (I am a former chef and baker, and it was better than mine! ) Her Forest fruit pie ala mode was exceptional as well! If you are in the area, STOP in and grab a bite to eat! You won’t regret it! Thank you Shelly and Mona for the incredible hospitality, you are amazing! Beth and John
