The Boat House - Isle of Wight

Fabulous welcoming stay at the Boat House, great location on the beach, rooms with a beautiful view of the mainland and delicious food, what’s not to like and Dean is the best hotelier!

The staff was great! Clean and nice room.

The windows were thick with grey stuff, which I assume to be mould. there was no expelair in the bathroom and you couldn't open the window. The double room was cramped - narrow space up the side of the bed and no bedside tables. There was a rude sign outside the breakfast area: No (double underlined) admission before 8.30. On our first day the door to this was locked because the chef was late. On the good side, the owners have made an effort with some of the decor and also with producing good food. At breakfast, however there are only coffee bags and the breakfast table had 4 croissants (for 4 double rooms). The chef did not offer bread or toast, but brought it if asked.

We had a lovely stay at The Boathouse. We had a Seaview room and it was spotlessly clean. We had dinner and breakfast here and both was fantastic. We will definitely be back!
