As a 2 star hotel I would give 5 star to the staff who were helpful and attentive. Our kids enjoyed the playground and it was like a real park in a hotel. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Serevin who resolved our issue as fast as possible.

It was a clean place and the included breakfast was good. The kids also had fun at the playground close by. The elevator only went to the second floor and our room was on the third, so it was hard to get there with all of our luggage.

From the minute we walked in the door, everyone was so nice and friendly! Despite the slight language barrier(English), they always made sure to get someone who could help us. They are so accommodating and especially to those traveling with little ones. It was our first time traveling with our 9 month old and we were impressed with all the kid friendly accommodations they had. They happily stored the breastmilk we brought, were able to provide a crib in room, they have an indoor children’s play area down in the lobby, and even have a mashed puree on the kids menu at the restaurant so our little one was able to indulge in eating out as well. The breakfast they offer is perfect and they make fresh coffee/cappuccinos for you! Yes the rooms may be slightly outdated but it is perfect for a quaint getaway. They do provide a combo body wash/shampoo, towels, toilet paper, and linens. There’s a hair dryer. No mini fridge, USB ports, or phone in room. There is a tv and European outlets. Overall we had a fantastic stay and the friendly staff have us wanting to go back if we are in the area again!

Do not miss staying here - especially if you have kids! What a cute little inn with the BEST most friendly staff, great breakfast and the best part - the playgrounds for the kids - indoor and outdoors! The train stop into town is literally a 3 min walk away and there’s a grocery store 1 min away which was the cherry on top! Highly recommend booking Chärnsmatt if you’re visiting the Luzern area!

This is a family, family hotel, plenty of things to do for children including a coin operated amusement park. Issue for me was it was my wife and I only, probably would have a found a more grown up hotel, but that’s on us, just did a bad job of research. If your traveling with your young family this is the place to go

perfect stay if you bring your kid to Switzerland. Lots of places to have fun - but sadly could not take a train due to rain 😢 breakfast was also very nice. 10min to Luzern by bus for free with the visitor card. the supermarkenext to the hotel was recommendable.

The facility offers an incredible place forntoung families with little kids and toddlers. Its not only about the play areas but also small things like changing rooms and kids plates and cups in breakfast area, we will be coming back in summer to fully enjoy the outdoor play areas including toy train

All good and nice about the property, free parking. Nice staff and services, really enjoyed our stay.

Conforto e ótimo atendimento, em especial as 2 atendentes portuguesas ( Luisa e Sami) que se esforçaram ao máximo para nos atender bem, nos orientar e nos servir! Ótimo café da manhã incluído, estacionamento gratuito, quarto e banheiro limpos e confortáveis. Não tinha frigobar no quarto mas não fez muita falta. Só precisa melhorar an internet wi- fi que estava muito instável. Restante ótimo!

We had a great time, especially the attic room! But no elevator access to our room. Everything was spotless. The staff were nice but a bit strict.

The staff are all super nice and the breakfast is excellent! The windows need maintenance and there is no curtains.

Our room was very clean, bathroom was big, also bus stop is 2 mins of walk away, fraught to Lucerne train station. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks for hosting us.

One of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip. It’s easily accessible from Luzern station via bus 51 or 52, with the bus stop right outside the hotel. The hotel is well-equipped with amenities for children, including a playroom and a separate diaper-changing area. Both the hotel and the rooms are very clean and well-lit, and my room even had a balcony. While there isn’t a kettle in the room, the staff will happily provide one upon request. A complimentary breakfast is included with your stay, which is a nice perk. The staff was exceptional—they helped store my medicine in their refrigerator, and since I didn’t have phone service, one of the staff members kindly let me use her phone to order dinner. They also lent me plates and cutlery for my meal in the room. Overall, the staff went above and beyond, and it was by far the best experience I’ve had with hotel staff. I would highly recommend staying here!

No Air conditioning was a BIG surprise. Asked for Fan as a compromise, which also took long to leave us is sweaty condition. Bathroom too small, to barely move inside.

Everything about this property was great EXCEPT ONE major thing. No air conditioning. They provide fans which only move around hot air. It was mid 80's (F) in the daytime and at night the room was at least 85. The primary function of a hotel is to sleep comfortably and this was completely impossible. For the price they charge this shouldn't be the case.

This hotel was a bit further out of the city center. It is a older and a bit dated. The beds were not very comfortable. The breakfast was included but the variety was limited. It did seem like it catered to families with young children very well, with a play rrom and lots of outdoor activites. This hotel ws fine for one night stay in Lucerne.

A good hotel for young families. They have a play area for young children, which our eight year old loved. The family room was nice and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good. Located outside of Lucerne city centre, it is well connected by frequent buses to and from the city. There's an Aldi nearby too.

Area was very small and no AC

Problème isolation phonique par rapport à la route très passagère. On entend les voitures même les fenêtres fermées. Mobilier des années 60 , porte de penderie qui ne ferme pas, tiroir de table de nuit décollé.. Salle de bain vintage. Pas de climatisation Le prix excessif n'est pas justifié

The quadruple room has no refrigerator, and nor kettle to boil water. The staffs are all friendly and caring.

We enjoyed this property. Checking in was easy and they are very friendly. The room was spacious with a balcony. Lots of things for kids there (it didn’t apply to us but if you have kids that are under 10, lots of things). Our only negative was the weather was 91 during day getting down to 78 and no air conditioner. There was a fan but it was hot. So be ready if summer and you’re not use to that. Traveling any other time of year this place is great! The staff are really friendly and helpful. It’s about 15 to 20 min to Lake Lucerne.

This is a homey, Bed& Breakfast like property. Basic, clean, next to Denner-grocery store, bus stop on the corner with free pass to Lucerne city. It was the perfect place for us- sort of in the middle to get to Interlaken & Zurich. They have wonderful people that made our stay extra special- Alina, Valerie & Lily. Danke!

Worst customer service I have ever received. They took my booking and I was to the hotel within 2 hours only to find out that they didn't have a key for me. They provided not solution and told me to take it up with the 3rd party booking site, Expedia. This was a non-refundable guarantee reservation. I'm still fighting to get my money back!

Great value for the money, specially for families. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was included and very good. Very comfortable beds, spacious, and clean. Can use some update, that's why we don't give it five stars. It was a fantastic stopover for us.

Couldn’t get into the property even though just arrived a bit after sunset, as no details sent to us how to enter as there is nobody at the reception it is self check in kind of hotel and the main entrance locked with a key pad . If a Good Samaritan lady didn’t help us we couldn’t have gotten in the hotel.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Clean and well-kept facilities, nice breakfast offered which is included with the room. Slightly outside of the hustle and bustle of Lucerne, which we enjoyed but you still get the advantage of a free guest transit pass for zone 10 areas, for each night of your stay.

Good hotel, they do close lobbby so we had to call to get key but worked out okay. Would be nice if lobby lights were left on later on

The best part of the trip was the service. The people went out of their way to be helpful and were very friendly! Service was amazing!

1) The hotel didnt have our booking details and we literally had to wait for nearly 30 mins for the check in process. 2) The cleaning lady tried entering the room when i was changing. 3) When we went down for breakfast the next morning, the staff didnt have any record of us checked into their hotel. But they were kind enough to let us have breakfast 4) There was no air conditioning on a hot day. This may be because its usually cold place. But the hotel needs to be prepared to keep the guests comfortable during hot days as well.

If you are looking for visiting Luzern, come to stay here. Free bus ride with digital city travel pass from hotel. Direct bus only 15 minuts from Luzern station and stops right next to the hotel. Very convenient! Big family room with sitting area, quiet and cosy surrounding, good breakfast, near 2 local supermarkets. So much price worthy compare to hotels in Luzern. Highly recommend!

Parking is nice, service is efficient No complaints. Happy to have stayed there and will stay again. Only about a 10 min drive to Lucern city center

This is an inn, where the restaurant is the main feature. The free parking not far from a freeway is a strength and a weakness (road noise, out of town). The bus into town is regular but not frequent (half-hourly) but is quick and easy. The rooms are dated with no air conditioning but the balconies and views are nice. The staff are pleasant, but can be overworked so you may need to wait if you need them. The included breakfast is strictly continental but the quality is superb. I would recommend staying here if you are planning on using the restaurant as it is the main feature and looks excellent.

Siamo rimasti troppo poco per riuscire a dare un giudizio completo alla struttura, ma tutto sommato posso dire che è estremamente carina e comoda per visitare Lucerna. La presenza di personale alla reception che masticasse un minimo di italiano, ci ha sicuramente semplificato il check in. Le ragazze sono state sin da subito carine e cordiali. La signora che serviva al ristorante, ci ha tradotto in italiano tutto il menù dal tedesco per scegliere cosa mangiare, carinissima! La struttura ti da anche una Guest Card con diverse agevolazioni, tra cui mezzi pubblici gratis e sconti su musei e attrazioni. Essendo a disposizione dell'hotel il parcheggio gratuito (una rarità in Svizzera) abbiamo usufruito del Bus che passa ogni mezz'ora lì a fianco, per raggiungere Lucerna. Viaggio super agevole, freschi, senza problemi di parcheggio, e con capolinea alla stazione centrale di Lucerna, a due passi dal centro. Top! Ritornando alla struttura, la camera era molto carina, arredata in modo moderno, con un letto matrimoniale e un letto a castello per i miei figli. Unica pecca la mancanza di aria condizionata (che a quanto pare in Svizzera è piuttosto rara) ma sopperita in parte dalla presenza di due ventilatori, che ahimè non hanno permesso di dormire comunque troppo bene per il caldo di agosto. La colazione a buffet compresa nel prezzo è un plus. La varietà del buffet direi basic ma tutto sommato va bene perchè non siamo troppo esigenti! Consiglio quindi la struttura!

It’s perfect for family to get together . Children love to stay here with all children facilities:big children playing area indoor and outdoor with a park.Room is clean and spacious. Breakfast has some varieties and location is accessible to public transportation if you don’t drive. Parking is free!

Prezzi alti non adeguati alla struttura..per camere senza aria condizionata e bagno senza.finestra con luce fioca .da categoria 2 stelle..comunque pulito . Anche il ristorante con prezzi alti rispetto all' offerta.Personale.Ok

La habitación amplia y cómoda el recibimiento en español .solo que no nos comentaron de la hora final del desayuno que era hasta las 9.30 y cuando llegamos a las 9.45 ya se habia terminado y un hombre del personal molesto ya no nos quiso atender. Y pagamos el desayuno. Buscamos y encontramos un café cerca de ahi muy rico y menos precio del que pagamos ahi.
