We did not know that the music downstairs would be at a noise level above respectful to any guest paying for a room. Our room ,number 203 , was small and dingy, the water from the shower spilled into the toilet area and made a pool on the floor , ear plugs were supplied but did not make any difference to the extremely loud music level, it was at the highest level imaginable this music continue til 2:35 am when we finally were able to sleep in peace we will never return to Hotel Gosford

You get what you pay for! Location is good if you like the centre of gossy. Checking in after work on a Monday was poorly timed- My check in was commensurate with ten people ordering after-work drinks. Free ear plugs are provided to block out the noise of the 1am street brawls below. The shared bathrooms are lovely - pity the people I was sharing with didn’t know how to use a toilet brush or bath mat. The restaurant/bar area downstairs is modern and fresh. Food was mixed- one meal was an absolute hit (Schnitty) and the other was really disappointing (steak). Staff varied between friendly to passive-aggressive. Same With cleaning staff- On occasions my room was spotless, other times my bed wasn’t even made… All in all you get what you pay for- the room was basic but fine - air con is either hot or off so forget modifying to your hot flushes. But is cheap and available at last minute close to work needs…. Oh and parking is not restricted to hotel guests- if you’re there after 5pm Parking is taken by bar patrons and you might have to look further afield for street parking. Which is all limited during the day. Heads up.
