Please be advised we will accommodate check ins between 2pm and 7pm. Later arrivals need to be confirmed prior to arrival, and will incur a fee of $20 per hour after 7pm. We ask that you check out by 10am on the day of your departure.
We do not allow campfires due to bushfire risk and the government’s permit requirements.

While traveling to our property on Tasmania’s unsealed gravel roads, please note these may be narrow and winding with loose gravel. They are subject to changes in weather with possible frost, ice and snow. Pay particular attention at dusk and dawn as there is an abundance of wildlife on roads at this time. Take extreme care if you’re unfamiliar with this road surface and cautiously drive to the conditions. Please drive carefully on the property, driveway and Glenfern Road. Our driveway is narrow and only allows one way traffic with limited space for passing. Please give way to other vehicles. If in doubt, stop your car and communicate with the other driver as to who will pass.
While on our property please be aware that there are uneven surfaces, cliffs and retaining walls that may present a hazard. Please take care, know your surroundings and use a torch when moving around at night.
In case of an emergency, please come to the main house and knock on the front door. We can also be contacted by UHF radio, on channel 33. There is a UHF radio base station located in the office and this reaches us anywhere on the property. In an emergency, please call the Australian emergency phone numbers 000 or 112.
There are fire extinguishers and first aid kits kept in the camp kitchen. We also have a full complement of firefighting and first aid equipment on site. We are both first aid trained in case of injury. If there is a fire or injury, please immediately notify us.
Please do not try and touch the animals. Snakes and some insects are particularly dangerous. Please watch from afar.
All water from the taps is a mixture of rain water and spring water, fed from an underground spring on our property. It is untreated, we drink it untreated and it gets tested. However, we recommend you boil the water before drinking. Please be water wise by reducing your water usage and limiting shower duration.
