Close enough to Bryce and a less expensive and nice and comfortable place to stay than Bryce city. 25 miles to Bryce Canyon National Park on an easy road by car. Pretty Good dining options. This hotel has self service laundry and ice available. We recommend it.

We were so pleased with this property. The inside of our unit was updated and well managed. They had a bag of rags for cleaning up any spills or messes, a coffee maker, a microwave, a fridge, a standing fan, air conditioning and heating units. Our particular room was a stand alone unit with its own little front yard and outdoor seating area. It was perfect for a nights stay. We would come here again if we ever find ourselves in Panguitch. It’s nothing fancy but it sure is nice for a roadside motel!

Limelighter Lodge is a well restored retro 1950's motel where you park in front of your room. All on one level. Satellite TV has TCM which we love! Very clean and well maintained. No breakfast and 10 am checkout, but fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. Very reasonable rates.

Probanly 60 years old. Crushed ice in a 30 gallon metal container with a side door we lift up to open... and a metal hand scoop, that everyone handles or coughs on with the ice exposed. No A/C, old fashion thermostat, small wall heater, dirty dusty pet area, no full time office staff, and 12 rooms total. Sorry, not for me, but ok and reasonably priced for out of town construction type workers.

Always a little skeptical about little town motels but this is an excellent place to stay. Our room was bigger than any big chain room. It has a functioning ice machine with plenty of ice and that’s always a bonus. Didn’t use the washer and dryer but they looked new.

This is an older inn, the bathroom is a little dated but everything was clean and comfortable, I had a queen bed room and the bed was wonderfully soft. If you’re visiting Bryce Canyon this is a great place to spend the night. The man running it was very kind and understanding when I had trouble with my room keys which made me feel much better. The rooms are dog friendly with an area in the back for your dog to stretch their legs and do their business (supervised, of course) there was also a grill and picnic tables which I didn’t use, but I assume they are meant for guests. My only complaint was the light, the walkway is very well lit but it made it a bit difficult for me to sleep even with the blinds closed.

The toilet was dirty, the shower was dirtier and we couldn’t control the A/C or turn it off. There was almost no place to put our toiletries in the bathroom.

1. Advertised pet friendly and then they charge me an extra $10 for the pet. 2. No Tissue/Kleenex box 3. Be Warned - heating is from a wall/space heater on the other side of the bedroom. Even when cranked to the max 86° the room stayed very very cold very very uncomfortable. I am going to be asking for a refund from hotels.com. 4. 30 minutes into my stay, the power went off in the room. It took them about another half an hour to monkey around what was going on. The maintenance guy or gal was clueless. I had to tell them to check the circuit breaker panel, which was the problem breaker tripped. 5. Towels dirty/stained. Disgusting. They must not know of the chemical bleach. 6. Shower Head was loose and sprayed water everywhere! 7. Shower ceiling was dirty with yellow stains. Gross. 8. There is no continental breakfast. 9. Overall, unless they're only vacancy in town, I'm not gonna be staying here anytime soon. 10. The coat rack is above the microwave – ridiculous - unusable.

Nice area. Courteous staff. Room generally clean. Only thing I didn’t like was the mildew in the shower grout lines. Didn’t quite line up with the perfectly white grout lines showing in the online pictures that had persuaded me to pick this place.

Avoid the place at all costs. This place is filthy. My wife wouldn’t even shower. Bathroom Floors were atrocious. Asked the owner to let us move to another hotel . He refused.

the room had hair EVERYWHERE - bed sheets, walls, even the towels. we could not stay the night as the management did not think the hair was an issue, and in fact showed up with a lint roller to remove it, as if that qualifies as cleaning. shocking disregard for cleanliness, as if bedding changes are not a requirement for a hotel... do not stay here

Lamplighter is old but in decent shape. Don't expect modern amenities like USB ports or even convenient wall plugs. The only bad part was the traffic noise. It's right on Hwy 89 which is a busy corridor and the rooms are not that insulated for noise.

Bed was very uncomfortable, terrible. Mattress had huge yellow stain under sheet - gross! Air conditioner came on and off and did not cool room. Shower head came off when I tried to adjust in downward. Price was reasonable but would not recommend staying here!

So, it’s 8:30 pm, 11 degrees outside and 1 of your 2 guests calls to inform that the water is not hot (after letting it run for 5 minutes) and your solution is to get nasty, tell them to find another place to stay? I have met so many great owners/managers of small town motels that take pride in their properties and understand treating customers with respect, goes a long way, earns referrals and repeat business. Unfortunately, this is not one of those owners/managers.

Chris..staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and wonderfully large for 3 adults to fit comfortably. Location to Zion and Bryce worked perfectly and the area was beautiful.

TERRIBLE DO NOT GO HERE!!! When I got here, I was in room 8, and immediately when I walked in, it smelled so bad of urine. All of the windows were open, which leads to believe that they were aware. The fridge was also warm. I told staff I wanted a new room, and he said since I “used” the sink (me checking for hot water) he was not going to get another room at first. I kept pushing and finally got room 1, which is the best suite they have. The pictures shown below are the pictures from the “best suite.” This was a disgusting place do not book!

The front desk person (owner, I believe) was efficient and friendly. He walked us to our room (it was a small place) and our reserved parking space just outside the room. The room was tidy and spacious and everything worked fine.

This is a vintage motel in a very small town. Though a bit dated, it was a very clean and quiet room with a friendly manager who personally made sure we liked the room and had everything we needed. When we found the only hotel room available in Bryce Canyon was going to be $300 we decided to drive 20 minutes to Panguitch and found this gem for around $80.

Check in was quick and easy. Staff friendly. The room was clean and well equipped with shampoo, conditioner etc. The beds were comfortable. Easy walking distance to 3 or 4 restaurants. We visited 2 different ones and they were both good. The area was quiet. We stayed 2 nights. Heating wasn’t as efficient as we would like it as it was a bit cool overnight. Just below freezing outside. Great price for the area. Close to Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon.

Friendly welcome. Very clean. The surrounding area is beautiful. Panguitch is a very scenic drive away from Bryce Canyon. Good places nearby for evening meal/breakfast.

Closely located to Bryce Canyon and Red Canyon park entrances. Older property that’s in good shape. A separate heater warmed the room before I entered which was appreciated because it was very cold that night. Plenty of hot water available. Quiet and easy parking.

Do not stay here. Dirty and rundown with manager who has a “do as I say not as I do” attitude. Its also in a dumpy part of town with nothing scenic or walkable within sight. Weeds everywhere outside. We were assigned Room #1 which is completely hidden and not logical. On check-in, you’ll see management has multiple signs warning you of all of the exorbitant fees I’ll charge you. The funniest one is they’ll charge you $250. If you leave the room stained, but the reception area rug is so badly stained It’s really disgusting. The entrance to the room is unkempt and disappointing. The room itself is dark. Even though we had a nonrefundable reservation, we left as fast as we could as this dump wasn’t worth spending a minute more.

In between Bryce Canyon and Mt Zion, a really convenient location. Such a fantastic welcome, super friendly manager. We arrived, checked in, management came to the door and made sure everything was in good condition, to us. I asked where the ice machine was, he opened the door for the ice room while I was holding 2 water cups and the furnished ice bucket. He even asked if he could fill it for me. 5 stars for friendly manager. The room was good, comfortable bed, clean shower, and close to really good restaurant.

Close enough to Bryce and a less expensive and nice and comfortable place to stay than Bryce city. 25 miles to Bryce Canyon National Park on an easy road by car. Pretty Good dining options. This hotel has self service laundry and ice available. We recommend it.

Small room & bathroom which didn’t have any vanity, shower very old, cheap soap bars which crumbled before opening. No continental breakfast. Good bed & bath linens.

Our one night stay was really pleasant and the room was quite spacious, quiet and clean. Great breakfast right across the street at recommendation of owner. Would stay there again for sure.

Check in was quick and easy. Staff friendly. The room was clean and well equipped with shampoo, conditioner etc. The beds were comfortable. Easy walking distance to 3 or 4 restaurants. We visited 2 different ones and they were both good. The area was quiet. We stayed 2 nights. Heating wasn’t as efficient as we would like it as it was a bit cool overnight. Just below freezing outside. Great price for the area. Close to Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon.

The lodge was at a great location to visit Bryce Canyon National Park. The hotel manager Kashyup was very good and took care of us well. The room was spacious, neat and clean. Overall it was a great experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who would want to visit the Bryce Canyon National park. About Panguitch; The city, Panguitch, was very small with limited options for food. It was clean, green and people/traffic friendly.

1. Advertised pet friendly and then they charge me an extra $10 for the pet. 2. No Tissue/Kleenex box 3. Be Warned - heating is from a wall/space heater on the other side of the bedroom. Even when cranked to the max 86° the room stayed very very cold very very uncomfortable. I am going to be asking for a refund from hotels.com. 4. 30 minutes into my stay, the power went off in the room. It took them about another half an hour to monkey around what was going on. The maintenance guy or gal was clueless. I had to tell them to check the circuit breaker panel, which was the problem breaker tripped. 5. Towels dirty/stained. Disgusting. They must not know of the chemical bleach. 6. Shower Head was loose and sprayed water everywhere! 7. Shower ceiling was dirty with yellow stains. Gross. 8. There is no continental breakfast. 9. Overall, unless they're only vacancy in town, I'm not gonna be staying here anytime soon. 10. The coat rack is above the microwave – ridiculous - unusable.

Reasonable price for area close to Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon. 3 or 4 restaurants within walking distance. Room clean and equipped with shampoo, conditioner etc. Coffee maker and fridge. Room nice size. Heater in room is inefficient for room size. It was on the cooler side. Less than what we find comfortable. Bedding is warm and comfortable. I would recommend if you are happy with a cooler temperature in your room.

Mold everywhere in the bathroom. When we walked in the water was running and the room was humid and it stank. There was mold everywhere and we switched rooms but were very uneasy about staying the night.

I stayed at this location several years ago and really enjoyed it, so I booked again. They must be under new management (or lack of management), because the condition of the property and room were poor (and you have to check in at the motel across the street.) All landscaping consisted of overgrown, dried up weeds. The once-green grassy dog run is also dead, with debris and broken furniture strewn about. My initial room was dirty so I asked for another. This room was larger, but had large chunks of plaster missing from the wall below the air conditioner, dirty floors and countertops, and the frequent touch areas like light switches and door frames were visibly dirty. The toilet seat was broken. The door had a large gap between it and the frame, which I filled with paper towel each night to keep out heat and light. Thankfully, the linens were all very clean. The fridge/freezer and microwave worked. The tub/shower was clean, but in disrepair. The woman who checked me in was nice, and accommodated my request for a new room right away. However when I locked myself out one morning, nobody was in the lobby to help(this was at around 8 am, coffee in lobby was already made, etc.) Long story longer, my recommendation is that you do not stay here. :(
