Amazingly terrible! Only way describe this hotel experience...it's AMAZING the hotel was even listed as a hotel and TERRIBLE as far as the hotel's amenities (None...no new toiletries, towels, coffee, etc. No TV, AC, heating instructions). No staff on site. All hotel support was done digitally...check- in, check-out). ZERO support from hotel.com or Expedia. The room was filthy with caked dust on baseboards...unsanitary in many ways...the tiled bathroom floor was laughable as was the bathrooom's "remodeling." The floor plan of our unit was definitely out of sequence and the toilet obstructed your path to the bathroom (really)...oh, bathroom door would not shut properly.

Soggiorno di 3 notti

We were 3 women in the attic room with 1 washroom and there was another room right next to ours that shared a thin wall. We could not even converse in our rooms without the tenants in the next room knocking on the wall. The washroom was the tiniest we've ever seen, you can't do much outside of stand in front of the sink and toilet seat, and you literally have to shower standing sideways, since the tub and space to turn is too limited. The toilet also had a weird musty smell and we had to sanitize everything to feel comfortable enough to use it. The staff could not help or move us to another room and claimed they were all taken, when they were not but since we chose the room in the attic, there was nothing they could do. They also did not have any qualms in us getting into a conflict with our neighbours, if the situation arose. Additionally, we had bags that were very heavy which we had to carry up 3 flights of very old staircases (old victorian building), and they're tilted/bent angularly on the 3rd floor. Overall, the accommodation was what dampened our time in Quebec City, but at least a lesson learnt in scrutinizing images and reviews further before booking venues like this. Felt like we were in a hostel, minus the hostel benefits.

If you want to stay in an historic building, this is it. If you want modern amenities, this is not it. If you want an elevator or level stairs, or someone at a desk to greet you, this is not it. If you want a more authentic Quebec experience, this is it. Stairs are steep, winding and uneven, it would be difficult with a suitcase. There are no working no outlets in the bedroom, but some in the bathroom. The pillows are flat and have no support. Very old building tilts and windows are single pane. I felt like I was back in time. Bedroom and bathroom are huge. Bed was very comfortable. The AC was modern and worked great. Large fridge and modern tea kettle. Staff is very responsive online. Fantastic location and, even though our room overlooked the street, it was very quiet. Would I stay again? Yes. Would I recommend? It depends on the traveler and their ability to climb the stairs.
