Quaint well maintained historic property. Restaurant was terrific. Great food and service. A bit out of downtown, but made for a quiet relaxing time once back at the Inn.

We loved the amazing wildflower gardens and the beautiful pond for swimming, with a sweet little walking trail around it. We ate at the restaurant twice and the food was delicious, the staff was wonderful. Our room was pet friendly and very cozy and comfortable. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a very nice room at this inn with a good dinner option on the grounds as well as breakfast and lunch available at the cafe/general store right next door! Would definitely recommend staying here, just far enough from Woodstock town center to be quiet and much less busy.

We enjoyed our stay. The area is beautiful and very convenient to our other travel destinations. Highly recommend the country store/cafe next door. Their hot sandwiches were great! Ransom Tavern inside the Inn made for an enjoyable evening of pizza and live entertainment.

Although our stay was fine, it was not what I had expected when I booked. It was cute and quaint with an adorable General Store just walking distance from our room. On the down side, mattress and pillows lacking, flies (unsure why). 11 of them to be exact, that landed on us all night. The most disappointing part , being that the website advertised a bar and restuarant onsite. This was not open the 2 days we were there and the main building was empty. No main desk and no one working onsite. A bit eerie. This place has sooo much potential but falls short. Also, could use a mini fridge.

We attended a wedding in the area. The rooms are simple and spotless. The staircase to our room was steep and a little tricky. The country store next door had great breakfast and coffee. Beautiful gardens and the Ransom had delicious fare. A beautiful quiet area close to Woodstock and Bridgewater. We would come back again and hopefully have nicer weather.

This is a gorgeous historical inn with clean rooms in a historical setting. The staff who maintains the space are kind. Downtown Woodstock (about a ten minute drive away) is charming and wonderful to visit. However, this is really not an inn. There’s virtually no common space, little amenities and nearly zero communication with anyone who manages the space. We were there during a weather event and there was no one there to help us navigate the situation. In fact, my boyfriend had to shovel and salt the entryways to ensure the safety of us and other guests. Considering there was no food in the premises, no cellular connection, spotty internet, and unsafe roads with nothing in walking distance, I was pretty disappointed by the lack of care or service provided. It felt like we rented a room in an Airbnb which is fine but not what we expected from an inn. It’s such a beautiful space but I wouldn’t be comfortable staying there again.

Very disappointed that Tavern was closed for both days we were there leaving no options for supper except to make a drive to downtown Woodstock where nearly all restaurants required a reservation. Bath nicely remodeled but tub not properly installed so it felt that you were falling thru, blinds not operating properly. Beautiful landscaping and a true desire to keep up the property. Country store next store was a help for breakfast and lunch since nothing else was available.

Room was fine (22) but there were quite a lot of flies in the room and we couldn’t figure out where they come from. No fridge or ways to make a drink in the room. There is coffee in the main building from 7. We had a meal in the tavern but it is a pizza and salad menu. Nothing else and although it was tasty it was expensive for what it was.

The home and entire property is lovely. Our room was not in the main house but it was roomy, clean and comfortable. Loved the cute Conutry store as well. Charge a little more and include a breakfast voucher.

We took this trip to enjoy the New England fall colors. Woodstock did not disappoint . This establishment was super friendly/ helpful. We were disappointed that our accommodations were not advertised clearly. Hotels.com had a picture of the Kedron Valley Inn (expectation) and we stayed in the strip of rooms behind the Inn. The outside lights on the strip shine right into your room. Overall, the area is bustling, so we were happy to have a clean comfortable room.

My king room (#19) was in the smaller brick building to the front of the property. The room was easily accessible from parking, large and comfortable. My only complaint is that the room didn't have its own thermostat and the heat was absolutely pumping, which made for an uncomfortable first night. I closed the floor heat vent the next day and was much more comfortable. The inn property is lovely, the tavern bar is cozy with great service, and the pizza is excellent. The country store next door makes great, quick breakfast sandwiches if you're heading out skiing. Would stay here again!

I was disappointed when I found out the accommodations were in a log cabin in the rear of the building an know one stays in the large building featured on the web site, however, once we arrived we immediately appreciated the clean and well appointed accommodations and the privacy they afforded. We would definitely come and stay again.

I thought breakfast came with the room and it didn't. The restaurant on the premises was really just a fancy pizzaria with a limited menu. The room was clean and very nice...but the air conditioner was so loud we had to turn it off to sleep (which made the room uncomfortable).

Need more accessible power strips to plug in phones and computers. I had to climb under the bed to find enough plugs. I’m 70 years old. Not fun. Loved the pillows! Very comfortable after I got out from under the bed.

We stayed in a King bedroom in the brick building to the left of the main Inn building, and really enjoyed our stay! The room was super clean upon entry, and very spacious (as was the bathroom). The property and buildings have been around for a while, so they have that old Inn feel (slanted floors in places, a bit of an older building smell but not unclean or bothersome to us). The only thing we didn't love was the temperature control - there is no thermostat in the room and it got a bit warm at night. The bed was very comfortable, and the Inn provides plenty of linens/towels. Overall, we really liked the room. The check-in is definitely not like a traditional Inn. It is done all virtually unless you go into the main building looking for help (where we did find Mary, who was able to get us into our room an hour early - much appreciated!). We did not mind this, but I can see how it might be a turn off to some. We missed dinner in the Tavern, which looked delicious, but the Country Store right next door is great. This is a gorgeous historical inn with clean rooms in a historical setting. The staff who maintains the space are kind. Downtown Woodstock (about a ten minute drive away) is charming and wonderful to visit. However, this is really not an inn. There’s virtually no common space, little amenities and nearly zero communication with anyone who manages the space. We were there during a weather event and there was no one there to help us navigate the situation. In fact, my boyfriend had to shovel and salt the entryways to ensure the safety of us and other guests. Considering there was no food in the premises, no cellular connection, spotty internet, and unsafe roads with nothing in walking distance, I was pretty disappointed by the lack of care or service provided. It felt like we rented a room in an Airbnb which is fine but not what we expected from an inn. It’s such a beautiful space but I wouldn’t be comfortable staying there again.

It is primarily a pizza and salad restaurant, and, quite busy. Overall, it was a great place to stay, located in South Woodstock and less than 10 minutes from Woodstock.

The Inn was lovely and convenient to Woodstock and surrounding attractions. Random Tavern was excellent! One downside of our stay was that there was no interaction with the inn staff. We received an email about keyless entry. When we asked a question about that, however, we were rushed and made to feel like we were a burden. It would have been nice to be welcomed or greeted upon check-in, and to get the lay of the land.

Room was fine (22) but there were quite a lot of flies in the room and we couldn’t figure out where they come from. No fridge or ways to make a drink in the room. There is coffee in the main building from 7. We had a meal in the tavern but it is a pizza and salad menu. Nothing else and although it was tasty it was expensive for what it was.

We had a very nice room at this inn with a good dinner option on the grounds as well as breakfast and lunch available at the cafe/general store right next door! Would definitely recommend staying here, just far enough from Woodstock town center to be quiet and much less busy.

We enjoyed our stay. The area is beautiful and very convenient to our other travel destinations. Highly recommend the country store/cafe next door. Their hot sandwiches were great! Ransom Tavern inside the Inn made for an enjoyable evening of pizza and live entertainment.

I thought breakfast came with the room and it didn't. The restaurant on the premises was really just a fancy pizzaria with a limited menu. The room was clean and very nice...but the air conditioner was so loud we had to turn it off to sleep (which made the room uncomfortable).

Very disappointed that Tavern was closed for both days we were there leaving no options for supper except to make a drive to downtown Woodstock where nearly all restaurants required a reservation. Bath nicely remodeled but tub not properly installed so it felt that you were falling thru, blinds not operating properly. Beautiful landscaping and a true desire to keep up the property. Country store next store was a help for breakfast and lunch since nothing else was available.

We love staying at Kedron Valley Inn for horse shows and when in the Woodstock area. The inn is in a bucolic area. Everything is always clean and ready and easy to access. We had a peaceful stay. Food at the restaurant and country store is great.

The inn was extremely difficult to navigate with a toddler, I wasn’t made aware of the full flight of stairs to get to our room or the fact that there would be a flight of stairs in the actual room itself. There was a balcony with a railing that was also not safe for a toddler and there was no way to block off the stairs. There was only one tiny garbage in the bathroom for the whole room. Having no front desk was difficult and they couldn’t be reached via email when I tried.
