The room was nice and clean and the staff at the front desk were friendly and the pool and hot tub were good and the hours were great because of it being open till midnight and the breakfast was good. I had no problems with the hotel and it was super close to the Penn State campus. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Staff was very helpful, maintenance came immediately to check ait conditioner, shuttle bus was very helpful as well as drivers were very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was mostly clean. I did find a few hairs in the bathroom on the sink faucet and the toilet. There is some disrepair such as rust in the tub and chipping paint on the door. Overall the room was large and otherwise clean. I book through Travelocity so I am not giving my credit card to multiple companies when I travel. This hotel demanded a credit card on file for “incidentals” upon arrival. I dislike this Policy as it was not mentioned upfront or I would have chosen a different hotel.

Property was a sufficient hotel and staff was nice but the room smelled musty. Although the bed appeared to be clean, I woke at 4 a.m. suspecting bug bites. My son was sleeping next to me and we had a college tour that morning. I did not want to wake him so I could not check the bed thoroughly. Two days later the effect of bed bug bites have appeared all along my exposed arms. Absolutely disgusting.

Overall was a nice stay, staff friendly, food acceptable. They should pay more attention to the cleanliness. Our comforters had some weird stains that maybe they didn’t come out even though they washed them (but it looked like they were not washed after the last guest). Also, I loved to watch the window while having breakfast and I was negatively impressed of the amount of dust on the blinds and dirty window. I really loved the surrounding area and quietness. Planning to come back next year and hope to see the improvements.

We had a wheelchair accessible room and felt it was particularly accessible and well thought out. It had all the features you would hope for and also it had very little carpet, thank goodness! The carpet that *was* there was low profile so it was easy to roll over. Most hotels get that wrong. But the best part was the staff. The staff was very kind and friendly! We really enjoyed our stay.

It was a nice looking room. The girls at the front desk were nice when we checked in. But that's where it ended. First called about the air because the room wasn't cooling. Basically told it was working. That it was our body heat causing it and the thermostat always shows it's 73 even though I have it on 64. Then we noticed the wifi didn't work. For anyone traveling with multiple yong kids that's a big deal. I was made to feel like I was just complaining and told nothing they could do about it. I'm 43 years old and I've never once complained at any hotel I've ever stayed in or written a review. But this all just left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Staff very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning stopped working. Spoke with the front desk and maintenance was at our door in a couple of minutes. The maintenance man checked the unit and offered us a different room. From the call to being in our new room was less than 10 mins. Great service. Their breakfast buffet was great. It exceeded our expectations.

Front desk and cleaning crew were not on the same page when trying to check in as they had to double check if the room was cleaned… even though it was passed check in time and we tried to check in early and they told us the room wasn’t ready. It took several attempts to reach the cleaning crew and when that didn’t work, they had to track them down. We just wanted to get to our rooms after a long drive.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean with comfortable beds and surprisingly quiet even near the elevators and ice machine. They had nice events in the common area with complimentary food and beverages and live music. Shuttle service was quick and easy. Excellent place to stay in State College.

I wanted to thank Kendra for her incredible support and compassion during our stay last week. Our son was assaulted by 3 other students he did not know and ended up with a broken jaw, wired shut for 3 weeks. It was a horrific experience for our family but Kendra worked with us throughout our stay to make sure we had what we needed and to extend our stay as needed depending on the state of his recovery. It was a day by day decision especially as we waited for the dining hall to work out his liquid diet to ensure he had food he was able to consume. Kendra could not have been kinder to us throughout our stay even sharing a family history with a similar event. The other desk employees were also very kind as well especially Diana. We have stayed with you many times now as my daughter is a junior at Penn State and will see you again in November for a football game. The leadership team here has clearly established an authentically caring culture which is obvious to the guests. Thank you for everything.

This clean, quiet, bright hotel is built on a pretty green space, despite being highway-adjacent. But what makes it special is the outstanding customer service: always-friendly check-in, super-easy check-out (which, brilliantly, even asks if you are out of your room once you have officially checked out online), mid-stay checks to make sure everything is ok, all of it. I've been commuting into State College for 15 years, have tried every hotel under the sun after watching them being built when I lived there, and this is by far my favorite.

We will stay here again if my son chooses to go to Penn State. Loved the cute town, everything is so close to everything else. This hotel is not as central to campus and "downtown" but is nice and quiet!

Hotel was clean and updated. Probably one of the better Country Inn hotels I’ve stayed at. It’s about 5mins drive to Penn State campus so very convenient . Highly recommend.

Stayed here with my family and was very happy overall. Lovely hard working staff, clean and comfy room, and really excellent free breakfast. Also very well located to State College and Bellefonte.

Great hotel for football weekends. Close to campus, large suites with bedroom separated by a door, great breakfast (mimosas on Sundays!), nice amenities, and accommodating and friendly staff. We will be back!

The two four stars are because of the breakfast and breakfast area. The area is very small. It needs to be spread out more. Scrambled eggs would have been a much better choice for the people in my family and friends than hard boiled and cheese and egg patties.

Staff, cleanliness, and facilities and property management were great. They have NACS (Tesla) car chargers in the back. Pool and exercise room seemed nice although I didn't use them. Penn State is less than a mile away. Easy drive. Breakfast food was terrible but no one is coming here for the food. I will stay here again the next time I’m at Penn State

I could tell the front desk clerk was new so not mad that she didn’t do all she could have regarding my main issue, but she needs to know. I called down bc when we walked into the room it was hot. She said they are on a motion sensor and to give it a half hr. It did cool down eventually but would keep going back to hot. This is the main thing I want besides cleanliness is a cool room. I despise being hot, especially when I’m sleeping. The next morning the lady confirmed the other lady who checked me in was new and should have known it was on an automatic cycle. It appears they could have adjusted that for us. I The room was fine otherwise, just very disappointed with the sleep we all got from waking up hot.

Staff was great! The checkin gal, Kayla, was great. I’d like to say how kind the gal working in the food area was. She was so helpful and kind when she didn’t have to be. I told her that her kindness didn’t go unnoticed.
