Our room was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking Crystal river. We enjoyed the view, watching the dolphins and manatees. So relaxing, we brought our own paddleboards and paddled to Three sisters and encountered more manatees. We'll be back. The restaurants food was excellent, the grouper sandwich was the bomb.

The hotel is pretty old so don't expect anything fancy. There is construction going on right next door so it's a little messy. The view/ setting of the hotel makes all that worthwhile. There's also a great restaurant and tiki bar right on site. It was perfect for us.

Waterfront room. Private terrace outside of room. Perfect View of the sunset. Spacious room. Mostly updated but clean. Staff from check in to gift shop to bar to restaurant were friendly and helpful. The BEST crab cakes. Shrimp Poke bowl was superb. On the water casual dining and bar.

The place is a 1950’s motel experience on the Kings Bay with coffee and donuts as complimentary breakfast. There is a restaurant and tiki bar attached which are very good and right on the water. Tour and dive boats are available to see the manatees in an area viewable from the Motel. It needs renovations, but the location is perfect for anything you want to do.

This place just needs to be torn down and shouldnt legally be allowed to have guests. Our family are not hotel snobs at all and have stayed in questionable hotels before but we left this one early. The pictures on the site showed it was an older hotel and we went in expecting that. If we hadn't been awake for 46 hrs, we wouldn't have spent 1 minute here. Not one good thing to say about this motel. Mold in the room, doors didn't close all the way, dirty floors and lights. The "lobby" smelled like a damp basement. The air conditioners had nasty buckets underneath and one of them didn't so black water was running onto the balcony. Tub was disgusting with mold, the outside of the tub and toilet had mold around it. Dead bugs on lamps and stuck in cobwebs. I wish I could post more than 8 pictures, I took 20 of them! I was told by the front desk they're building a new one next door that will be open in a few years. I told her they shouldn't be allowed to rent this one in the meantime. The health department needs to shut it down. We received no refund for our 2nd night.

The view from balcony was wonderful! Old hotel but everything worked well and beds were comfortable and room very clean! Restaurant right next door and close to many more. Quiet area so sleep not disturbed. Very relaxing.

Great waterfront view!!!! If you are looking for something on the water with a view this is it! There is marina access, so even if you dont have a boat you can set up a sunset cruise or swim with the manatees. There is a restaurant and a separate dock bar. Close to town. The hotel is older, limited amenities and outdated but room was clean. Friendly and helpfull front desk staff! All rooms face the water with balconies or patio so you have a view of the sunset. Definitely recommend The Port Hotel.

The Port hotel is right on the water so the view from the room - which is a bit outdated - but clean - is really nice. I heard that all their rooms face the water! Oddly our room had no drawers. There was a rolling metal basket type thing in a cabinet, but no dresser, or even shelves in the closet. There is a restaurant & bar on site, we didn't eat/drink there, but they looked nice - the bar area has amazing views. There is also a marina that has a super cute shop with everything you could want for a day on the water. It's sad that they're building a big hotel, marina & eventually condos on this site, because the old Florida charm that is currently has (minus the construction site), will be gone. I'd definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

Our room smelt of damp when we finally got the door open, the staff had to show us how to juggle the key to make it open, but then we struggled open the door to get out. It’s obvious the owners are trying to keep it up to date with USB sockets etc. but the stucco on the walls has been there since to 60’s I’d guess

My friends and I stayed there last year and we liked it so much we came back. This year we requested the same rooms because we loved the view. I was given room 101. There was construction going on and a bobcat literally was by my door. I walked out and they dumped dirt just as I locked the door and turned and a cloud of dirt hit me. The noise was deafening and forget taking a nap. No one even offered us a discount and since we had already been told we couldn't have the rooms we requested (even though we booked back in March and out trip was in December.) The rooms are clean and people were constantly in the back where my patio was and I had to go outside because my phone wouldn't work unless I was on the patio. Trying to make or receive a call was hard during 7:30-4:30 because of the noise. It's a good thing we were early risers! I'm even sorry I'm writing this because we really had such a great time and plan on making it a yearly event but not sure if we will go back. I know the construction will be over but they could have offered us something either toward the room or a discount on future trips. The rooms are older but clean and as I mentioned we like the staff who is always friendly but honestly the whole time we were there Monday-Wednesday I left early Thursday because there was no chance of sleeping if they were going to do more construction.

They were very pushy to check in and check out. They need maintenance like serious maintenance to the point where it could be a fire hazard. Please see the photo of an electrical outlet that obviously has water damage. The TV didn’t work. We believe it is an outlet problem as well and the baseboard show signs of water damage.

They were very pushy to check in and check out. They need maintenance like serious maintenance to the point where it could be a fire hazard. Please see the photo of an electrical outlet that obviously has water damage. The TV didn’t work. We believe it is an outlet problem as well and the baseboard show signs of water damage.

We waited 1 1/2 hours for the person working the front desk to show up for work and check us in. When she was called she said she would be there in 20 minutes and that turned into 40 minutes with every excuse.

Not a bad place to stay. They really need to put coffee makers in the rooms. I went down at 7:45 they were closed. The sign said open at 7:00. I called a little after 8:00 she said I ran a little late. Really? An hour was not a little late, it was a lot late. Like I said they need a coffee maker in the rooms. Otherwise, I guess I could stay again.

Our room was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking Crystal river. We enjoyed the view, watching the dolphins and manatees. So relaxing, we brought our own paddleboards and paddled to Three sisters and encountered more manatees. We'll be back. The restaurants food was excellent, the grouper sandwich was the bomb.

I booked this hotel because of it's location and bay views and it did not disappoint. Sunsets from the balcony were wonderful and 3 Sisters was walking distance. The restaurant adjoining the hotel was pretty good too. I heard this older hotel will be demolished in a couple years. Sad to see this icon of "old Florida" go, only to be replaced with a more expensive and less soulful hotel. I'm glad we were able to stay here before modernization encroaches. .

I liked the old school feeling. There was even an actual key for the door. View is amazing of the water and manatee sanctuary, very quiet and peaceful place to relax. Property was under construction because of flooding from the last hurricane. My feet got dirty very quickly on the floor in our room. Worst part was it advertised free breakfast but did not have any. I would definitely stay there again though.

If you have a person that LOVES to fish, like I do, this is the hotel for you! This is the 2nd time we stayed here and we will be back. The check in was fast and the staff is very helpful about where to eat and things to do. This hotel was built in 1942 (Elvis stayed at this hotel when he filmed "Follow that Dream"), so there are not a lot of amenities. Our room had 2 full size beds which we wanted, (this hotel offers rooms with queen beds) with modern comforters and sheets. It is Very clean and a little dated bathroom. It has a micro wave and a small refrigerator and Wi-Fi. There is a restaurant on site and a place on site to rent boats and kayaks. Most of all you can sit outside on your balcony and watch a beautiful sunset.

We have stayed at this property a few years ago so we knew that this was an older hotel but it has definitely went down hill. They are building a brand new hotel right next door so I think they are doing the bare minimum maintenance and upkeep to the original hotel. Housekeeping consisted of taking your used towels and giving you new towels and that was it. Trash was never taken out. I will say the king size bed was very comfortable. There are no coffee pots in the rooms so if you are an early riser just know that coffee in the office does not open till 7am. I will give the Waterfront Social restaurant a 10/10. Great food and service. The workers in the marina shop were also very nice and helpful. Overall we love this area but will probably not book this hotel again until they get the new one built. Not worth the price tag at this point.
