Stayed 4 nights

Booked to stay 4 nights, Sept 2025. Was given a room 'upgrade' at reception. On entering the room, a strong musty, moldy smell. I tried to ignore it but within 30 minutes my chest was tight and I was repeatedly coughing. Its a pity I cannot upload pix of the AC unit in bedroom. Looks like it hadnt been cleaned in years. I tried sleeping in a face mask, but no benefit. Couldn't take any more so got up at 5.10am and walked around the car park to get fresh air. Waited until reception opened at 7am and checked out. It was unlikely any of the other bedrooms would have been any cleaner. Now daylight, I could see many of the areas if the hotel were closed, disused: Spa, meeting rooms, dining rooms. It's a shame and I understand: no revenue, no money to spend on maintenance, cleaning.

Stayed 1 night

Overall very disappointed. Based on the reviews left by many previous customers, we were excited about the chance to stay at the Paradise. However I'm afraid we will most definitely be looking for other options should we return to Udon Thani. Positives: - location is central within a healthy walking distance to Central - spacious car parking (we didn't use :-)) - breakfast was one highlights of the stay. Mixture of both local and western options, ordered off the menu. Unlimited toast (and strawberry 🍓 jam, 😋) Negatives: (sorry for list but for full transparency, here goes) - overall everything is dark, depressing and in urgent need of update. The pool is small and unswimmable (green with bits floating in it). The one smallish elevator seemed to have the 3rd floor button permanently lit up and needed multiple encouragement to go to requested floor - There seemed to be fire on the second floor a year ago. Whilst the area is cordoned off inside, the aftermath of the fire is in plain site from outside. Unsure what the repair plans are but it added to the overall feeling of despair - The room is a good size but the linen (pillow, towels etc) were stained and dirty. Fridge had stuff from previous customer and the TV didn't work. On a positive note, they quickly found us another room. Thank you - lastly there was a leak in the washroom sink or pipes. By this time, it was late and we were tired from our experience so we sacrificed our towel to clean up after brushing teeth etc

The price was very good in my opinion. The service was fine. The location is convenient, and it is quiet. The property itself isn’t that nice. The pool is nasty. I wasn’t there long enough to experience the amenities.
