Property is very nicely maintained & landscaped - shows prelude of ownership. Front desk reception was polite, friendly, and accommodating. Rooms are newly renovated and VERY clean. This is a family operated motel and not a hotel, so have realistic expectations when you arrive. If you’re expecting a Holiday Inn, then go stay there. If you want reasonably priced, very clean, quiet, and a good night sleep, then I highly recommend a stay here. I will be back as I have family in the area.

This is a cute property. I had the only room upstairs that was supposed to be non-smoking. The little porch room outside of my room had an ashtray in it and smelled like smoke. Outside of this, it was a good stay.

The Hillside Inn is a nice alternative to the chain hotels. Clean and well located with a good restaurant within walking distance. Beautiful patio area to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails.

This is an excellent hotel to stay at. The only thing I didn’t like is the parking spaces are not very visible because the lines are badly faded so it’s extremely difficult to park within your own parking space. Often other guests are also parked outside their lines as well for the same reason

Rooms looked to be recently updated. Very clean. My neighbouring guests were a little loud, but nothing my noise machine couldn't cancel out. Overall great stay.

The bath mat was dirty and there was a used bar of soap on the sink. The bed was very uncomfortable and noisy. Other guests can be heard very clearly outside, in front of the room. The TV didn't work properly.

Do not stay here. It’s is not clean at all. You can slap some paint on anything and make it look nice. This place is filthy. The sheets were disgusting. The place smelled like urine and the bed was and frame were full of hair! FULL! the floor in the shower sank. I never stepped on the floor without my shoes on.

The first room we tried was so full of smoke, it burned my nostrils and lungs immediately upon entry. The owners advised us that the maid cleans the rooms so they were not aware. They did offer a second room and it was tolerable. There were spider webs in the bathroom and definitely not clean in the corners of the room. However, the bed was clean and comfortable, the fridge was clean and the shower was hot.

-Front desk tried to double charge me. -Front staff left everyone’s booking in the open for anyone to see -Bed and pillow were like laying on a hard ground - Bathroom had black mould in the corner, and overall dirty (including what look like blood marks on the wall) and a dead fly in the sink. - Dirty towel was left on the shower. Place was 100X nicer before change of ownership. Will not stay in again, and advise others to avoid.

Was denied early entry to change for a wedding out of town. Just wanted to drop off bags, change and be gone. We didn’t arrive to sleep to well after midnight. When we arrived at 11:30 parking lot was empty. He wanted to charge an extra day. Rooms has a musty smell.

Not a bad place to stay when driving through Pembroke. Room some dampness to it which was not great, and the thermostat for the heat didn't seem to work. It was fairly clean and the beds were comfortable.

The property was fine - new floors - the mattresses were awful - it was so hard I couldn't get comfortable at all - never had any thing like it and I have travelled alot - the other wasn't too bad but the bottom of the bed was metal - so every time he moved you heard a sound - ridiculous - I should of asked for my money back -

Convenient and easy check in. Nothing outstanding in terms of welcoming or friendliness, but it was nice and efficient. The room itself was good for the price as it was clean, seems to be recently updated and had amenities as described. Air conditioning is quite loud so could be a problem for light sleepers (we use earplugs so were ok). During our stay there was a small group a couple of rooms over who were sitting out with really loud conversation and music (looked like longer term guests, but we could be wrong). Other rooms were also enjoying outdoor areas but a more reasonable and respectful noise level. We would have thought management would have asked the loud guests to keep it down. In good news though, they took it inside early (9ish), so was fine for sleeping time. Overall it was good, especially for the price. Enjoyment just depends who you get for neighbours which is the same anywhere you choose.

The motel was renovated. Staff was quick to check me in. Only thing was that the bed made a weird metal noise anytime i slightly moved. Located on the main strip everything was close by and convenient.

At this price point, I doubt you would find anything better. Quiet room with tv and two good sized beds plus a little table and two chairs. Neat and clean, updated flooring. Bathroom also clean and with newish vanity. Also right next door is a pretty good restaurant/bar. Everything you need in a motel.

It is an old building but well maintained and clean. Beds could use some new mattresses as one is very soft in the middle and the other is way too hard. More pillows would also be helpful

There are grocery stores and restaurants just a short 5 minute drive away. No dining at the hotel. Haven't tried the bed yet, but mattress feels firm and bedding looks fresh. The room, however, is old and tired. It smells of cigarettes. We just dumped our stuff and left. Spent from 5pm to 9pm out and about because we didn’t want to spend ant more time in the room than we had to. I guess thats what you get for less than $150!

Front desk was very helpful. Located in a good spot close to amenities. The one thing I did not like was when I pulled the bed sheets back to find dirt and stains on the sheets and pillows. You get what you pay for. Front desk came quickly even though it was very late at night when we arrived and resolved the situation quickly.

The landlord was very friendly. I didn't know the local customs, so I checked out early and took the key away. After returning the key to the landlord, he forgave me for my mistake and provided me with a temporary rest area. The service here is also very good. The bed is very big and comfortable to sleep. They also provide free coffee (you need to make it yourself)

We were early to book in and we were adamantly told check in was 3 p.m. and not before unless we paid an extra day. We mentioned we had to change our clothes to go to a wedding in one hour however the answer was still NO. Totally inconsiderate to our needs. So we had to change our clothes in the car. One of our two rooms was so smelly (foul odour) we had to insist to be moved to another unit. This took some hard balling but finally they conceded and we were allowed to move. We have all agreed (party of four) that we will never utilize their services again. The price was fair, bedding was crisp and clean as were the towels.

This is my normal place to stay when visiting in Pembroke. Cheapest rates in town but while dated, clean and comfortable. Wifi is good, great places to eat in walking distance and short trip to shopping and downtown/waterfront areas. Staff are friendly. Never had an issue over the years

I found this property to be great. My room was extremely neat and tidy and the location was central to everywhere i had to go dueing my stay. The staff were very polite and accommodating. I will definitely stay there again!!

The room was very clean and had enough space. We were 3 in the room and that made it a bit stuffy for the 2 days we were there. Ventilation is not the best, humidity build up was our only concern with an extended stay! The facility was well maintained and had lot of flower everywhere. Very beautiful. Walking distance to food, drink and pharmacy all right there. We would stay there again!

The room needed reading lamps, a plug for the tub and we could only get one channel on the TV. However it was updated and clean, staff was friendly. For one night it was fine. Good taco place next to it.

Quiet with kind staff and relatively clean property! Near restaurants and convenience stores which is helpful. Having the room with the screened in porch was a fun plus :)

This is my normal place to stay when visiting in Pembroke. Cheapest rates in town but while dated, clean and comfortable. Wifi is good, great places to eat in walking distance and short trip to shopping and downtown/waterfront areas. Staff are friendly. Never had an issue over the years

I loved how quiet and convenient evertything was so close to shopping and dining. Staff were very friendly and rooms where extremely ean. I i highly recommend staying here.

At this price point, I doubt you would find anything better. Quiet room with tv and two good sized beds plus a little table and two chairs. Neat and clean, updated flooring. Bathroom also clean and with newish vanity. Also right next door is a pretty good restaurant/bar. Everything you need in a motel.

There are grocery stores and restaurants just a short 5 minute drive away. No dining at the hotel. Haven't tried the bed yet, but mattress feels firm and bedding looks fresh. The room, however, is old and tired. It smells of cigarettes. We just dumped our stuff and left. Spent from 5pm to 9pm out and about because we didn’t want to spend ant more time in the room than we had to. I guess thats what you get for less than $150!

Our room was not cleaned.I like the fact they are woodfloors not carpets, but they need to sweep and mop their room. Inside of the Coffee maker was disgusting and slime, and the fabric napkin it was stand on was very disgusting. The big one is the fact that you don't smell clean air in the room, you smell dust, meaning they don't do dusting. Window's blinds don't cover well the sides, so lots of light enters the room and this is a problem to those who like to sleep in a darken room. If they can start to do a good job with cleaning, it can be a nice motel.

Parking was excellent but you had to be aware of the driveway/roadways going in. Very busy street. People were friendly.

Considering the low price paid, it was totally acceptable. The room was reasonably clean and the bed comfortable, but overall it was a bit ragged around the edges and the room had an odd smell, probably an attempt to mask the stink of tobacco. Fine for one night and very inexpensive, but I recommend aiming higher if your budget can afford it.

Everything was great! Perhaps having an extension chord near the coffee maker would be great and a full length mirror and more shampoo. Otherwise great stay!!!
