This was our 2nd time staying at The Nutmeg, and we’ll be back. A beautiful gem in southern VT near Mt. Snow. A quiet oasis with outstanding breakfast, comfortable rooms, a delightful game room, and very welcoming owners and staff.

Very cozy and comfortable! We loved the different hanging out areas. This old building has a lot of charm! Great breakfast options made by Shelly, the owner. The staff is very friendly! The location is convenient to the village area with shops and restaurants. We highly recommend this inn. We’ll plan on going back for sure! Thanks for a great weekend!

Our stay was very comfortable. The room was clean and there were 3 areas downstairs where one could read and relax. There were lots of books and various games available. There were 4 choices at breakfast and each one was tempting.

The Nutmeg was one of our best finds in VT. Our host Shelly was caring, efficient, kind and hospitable. The Inn has easy sitting rooms for quiet time, game time or admiring her art and fresh flowers. Our Rooms were on the first floor and spacious. Breakfast was superb, healthy and farm fresh. We will be back.

The property is very well maintained inside and out. My sleeping room and bathroom were very clean and just as cute as could be, nicely decorated and inviting with attention to your needs. Nice toiletries, hair dryer, and plenty of clean white towels and wash cloths. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere, nice pool, and close to town. The breakfast is my absolute favorite, with a variety of fresh choices, cooked to order and served by friendly happy people. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, always giving great recommendations for things to do, lovely drives, and good restaurants to try. They go out of their way to ensure you have a positive experience while giving you the privacy you want. This was my second stay in the same room. I’ve never been a B&B person but I highly recommend staying at The Nutmeg. It’s a feel good experience.

We enjoyed our stay, it seemed a little rough around the edges, maybe not quite as clean as it could’ve been, but it was an older property. The breakfast was good, but our lady who served us was kind of grouchy.

We had a great stay at the Nutmeg. Our room was clean and spacious. The complimentary chocolate chip cookies were a nice touch. Shelly the owner was very friendly and accomodating. She gave us breakfast sandwiches to go since we had to leave earlier than when the normal breakfast time started. Will definitely come back.

This place is very nice Very old. The shower is very small very hard to move. They need a better assortment of pillows I woke up with a stiff neck and back ache. The breakfast was very good made fresh. The staff is very friendly and kind. Overall a nice little inn.

The Nutmeg was a charming Bed and Breakfast. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The steps up to our room were steep, but we managed. Breakfast both mornings was lovely. The places we visited while there were easy access with a car.

Location was close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough to be nice and quiet. Our room was nice but the “fire place” was pitiful. A nice gas flame would have been better. Breakfast was delicious. More choices would have been great. The cook was more congenial than the owners. Owners were pretty reclusive. The advertisement stated the property had daily housekeeping. This is one reason we chose The Nutmeg. There was NO daily housekeeping service, and that was very disappointing. We would have loved coming back to our room finding it serviced and tidied up. If The Nutmeg does not offer that, they need to change their description.
Location was close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough to be nice and quiet. Our room was nice but the “fire place” was pitiful. A nice gas flame would have been better. Breakfast was delicious. More choices would have been great. The cook was more congenial than the owners. Owners were pretty reclusive. The advertisement stated the property had daily housekeeping. This is one reason we chose The Nutmeg. There was NO daily housekeeping service, and that was very disappointing. We would have loved coming back to our room finding it serviced and tidied up. The staff was very nice. The hotel and room is nice and cozy. And great breakfast provided! The Location is convenient! 3 Minutes driving to downtown. and 15 mins driving to Mt Snow. I will definitely comeback if I go ski at Mt Snow again.

The property is very well maintained inside and out. My sleeping room and bathroom were very clean and just as cute as could be, nicely decorated and inviting with attention to your needs. Nice toiletries, hair dryer, and plenty of clean white towels and wash cloths. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere, nice pool, and close to town. The breakfast is my absolute favorite, with a variety of fresh choices, cooked to order and served by friendly happy people. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, always giving great recommendations for things to do, lovely drives, and good restaurants to try. They go out of their way to ensure you have a positive experience while giving you the privacy you want. This was my second stay in the same room. I’ve never been a B&B person but I highly recommend staying at The Nutmeg. It’s a feel good experience.

We had another wonderful stay at The Nutmeg. It’s very comvenient for Mount Snow skiing and close to some good bars and restaurants. It’s is also very welcoming, cozy and has excellent breakfast. We will be back!

Classic New England B&B. Beautiful post and beam styling with tastefully decorated rooms. Comfortable and cozy. The morning breakfast was exquisite. We had a wonderful cup of coffe while waiting for our host to whip up thick cut strawberry french toast with local maple syrup and the chef's special breakfast sandwich. Wood fireplace made it feel like home. Only thing we would change would be choice of room along the street (if you are city dwellers, probably something you are used to).

Everything is exquisitely maintained. Room was spotless with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and ample. Sitting areas are very cozy. Pool area is lovely. Staff very friendly and accommodating

One night stay. Fully met our needs. Beautiful area and The Nut Meg was sweet inside. Did not use, but loved the living room and game room. Staff was super friendly and breakfast was awesome. Would stay there again!

THE NUTMEG LIVED UP TO WHAT WE WERE EXPECTING. THE ONLY COMPLAINT WAS CLIMBING UP TO THE UPSTAIRS WAS DIFFICULT...BUT BECAUSE THE BUILDING WAS VERY OLD...NOTHING CAN BE DONE TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE. BUT WE SURVIVED IT!

This was a very nice rustic inn in southern Vermont to go skiing/snow boarding. Unfortunately my wife did not like it at all. The parking lot was covered with snow and ice and she slipped and fell. She could not get into or out of the Inn because it was too icy and we had to go home early. The breakfast was good and there was common rooms in the inn to play games. If you like to ski/snow board, this is a nice place. If you do not like snow and ice, forget it.
