Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable rooms. Extremely clean. Lovely lounge, bar and dining areas as well as outside areas in the garden. Garden in need of a bit of TLC but is beautiful. Food was really nice both dinner and breakfast.

What a wonderful “find.” Tucked away off a busy road, inside was quiet and peaceful. Lovely lounge and bar. The sun room and outside decks were delightful. The gardens and waterfalls magical. Meals very delicious and rooms comfy. Try it!!!

You will not find a better hotel in this area to choose. Each room, corridor, restaurant and conservatory which is often used for breakfast was immaculate. We had a full english breakfast and cereal which was enough food to last all day. Delicious. The gardens were beautiful. Plenty of free parking space and the owner and her staff were very friendly.

This was our second visit. That should tell you something. We again liked the inn with good variety of of breakfast options, room was spacious, plenty of free parking. It was convenient for the attractions we wanted to visit. Dinner, optional extra, is available and very good quality. We would like to visit again.

Beautiful property, trail out back leads down the valley to a small park with waterfalls and ponds. Food was high quality. Room was clean and in good condition.

The service provided by the staff was excellent and they were very friendly and accommodating. However, the room was very small and the front of the hotel was not very inviting in my opinion as there was rubbish like vacuum cleaner tools thrown across the parking area and overgrown vegetation. The place needs some attention to attract a wide range of customers.

Healthy choices for breakfast. Amy on breakfast service was excellent, rooms clean and comfortable, some had pets luckily kept away but should be kept quieter, not the establishments fault the standed failure of the owners!!!

I had a small but very comfortable room at the Waterwheel. The bed was roomy for a single person and the shower was excellent. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and the meals were good. This is a well run hotel and very good value for money.

Excellent stay over 4 nights. Breakfast was excellent, we didn't eat in the evenings at the hotel so cannot comment on evening meals, although over guests eat there and the restaurant was very busy, so it seems to be very popular. Room was rather small but adequate, and was very clean. The hotel's location was ideal for visiting the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan, which were both about a 20 minute drive away.

We enjoyed the amazing grounds and the food in the restaurant was lovely. The room was spacious and clean but the only thing that let it down was the bed. The memory foam matress had a big dip in it and was very uncomfortable. My husband didnt get a good night sleep as he couldnt get comfortable. The staff were informed the next morning and aaid they would deal with it.

We stayed one night on our journey into Cornwall and enjoyed it very much. Service was friendly and efficient, the room was very clean and spacious with a view to the beautiful (small Heligan) gardens, and the food was really delicious. We definitely can recommend the Waterwheel Inn and have it on our list for the next time we come to Cornwall.

Great service and really good breakfast. Clean and modern room. Lovely garden. The only downside was that I tried to contact the hotel a few days before arrival but they did not reply to my e-mail or return my call.

An incredible place to stay, the warm friendly check in, the clean, well thought out room and the food and service really can’t be faulted. The staff really care about customer service, and take pride in where they work. I would recommend to anyone.

Staff were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing, gardens were fabulous. Would recommend this property to everyone and would certainly book to go back again.

The staff are so welcoming and friendly. We got there early in the pouring rain and they let us in rather than make us wait. The food was delicious with huge portions. Our dog was made welcome and had plenty of fuss and the hotels dog Kernow was beautiful too. Our room was a little small but that is what we had booked so was down to us. Yes we would definately return, it was central to loads of things to do and beaches and the other guests staying there were chatty and friendly. Lovely stay.....thank you.

They are unable to serve a meal which is all hot. The breakfast is stated to be freshly cooked. This is obviously not the case as half the breakfast is luke warm or cold. Other patrons agreed with this. I had two evening meals, one was hot but the vegetables on the other were cold. My complaint to the waitress was ignored. Anyone who stays here should be prepared for intrusive music being played during breakfast.

The beauty and quiet with surrounding scenery and garden. Definately would rent a car if returned, visiting from overseas public tranport and taxis a little challenging

Staffs are very friendly. The room is simple but all you need is included. There is no public transport to get there so you either drive or call local taxi.

I had a great 5-night stay at The Waterwheel last week. This is a friendly and well-run place and the breakfasts are excellent! The location is handy for the Eden Project and, for me, it was good base to explore Cornwall from.

Great service and really good breakfast. Clean and modern room. Lovely garden. The only downside was that I tried to contact the hotel a few days before arrival but they did not reply to my e-mail or return my call.

I had a great 5-night stay at The Waterwheel last week. This is a friendly and well-run place and the breakfasts are excellent! The location is handy for the Eden Project and, for me, it was good base to explore Cornwall from.

Excellent stay over 4 nights. Breakfast was excellent, we didn't eat in the evenings at the hotel so cannot comment on evening meals, although over guests eat there and the restaurant was very busy, so it seems to be very popular. Room was rather small but adequate, and was very clean. The hotel's location was ideal for visiting the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan, which were both about a 20 minute drive away.

Et meget fint sted, med en utrolige flot og stor have. Maden var virkelig lækker og vi spiste der 4 ud af 5 aftener. Dog syntes vi at morgenmaden blev severet for sent (8.30 am) og det kunne godt tage noget tid inden det varme kom. Stedet kan anbefales da det ligger centralt i Cornwall.

They are unable to serve a meal which is all hot. The breakfast is stated to be freshly cooked. This is obviously not the case as half the breakfast is luke warm or cold. Other patrons agreed with this. I had two evening meals, one was hot but the vegetables on the other were cold. My complaint to the waitress was ignored. Anyone who stays here should be prepared for intrusive music being played during breakfast.

The bed and breakfast we have no complaints. If you drink from the bar or have dinner, it does cost quite a bit, but the dinner is well made.

Stayed for 3 nights, everything was very clean, easy check in & given a quick guided tour, room was very clean & comfortable with coffee making facilities and a nice powerful warm shower. Didn't eat in the restaurant but cooked breakfast was very good, made to your specification, with cereals & toast also available. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Lovely tropical gardens with a stream running through which are nice for a wander. would certainly recommend.

The food for both the evening meal and breakfast was excellent but breakfast could have had a bigger variety fruit. Also the breakfast buffet table could have been bigger as there was a bit a wait if one or two people were getting their food.

Everything was clean, neat and tidy. The staff and food were excellent and we only had three minor gripes. Firstly, the mattress was very soft. Secondly, all the food could have done with a touch more seasoning, but otherwise it was delicious. Thirdly, signposting is virtually non-existent and I drove past the hotel twice. Apart from those minor trivialities, it was an excellent place to stay.

My first night here was on Monday 1st June. I was travelling around the area for work. I enjoyed it here that much, I booked back in on the Wednesday 3rd. It’s a great location, great food and fantastic staff. I travel around the country for work, no doubt I will be staying here again when in the area.
