Motel Grande Ile

I think our room was newly renovated so it was very clean and white except for the rust on the old heating outlet which could have had more white paint. The facility is very basic, but comfortable and clean and had a microwave and fridge which we did not expect. My husband missed having a hair dryer.

Good price Good Small kitchen There was no coffee maker in our room. Cabel TV was not working.

Very Small room, not as per shown on website. Very very small WC, and it had permanent spots. Fire alarm went off without any reason at 11:30 PM 1st floor, no elevator. Not at all worth the price

I have been to Motel Grande ile several times. Clean, warm, parking always close to the room. Nice place to have a drink and a meal right in front of the motel.

Good for the price. Great little sports bar right in front of it.

The pub restaurant out front was convenient

Ici pour une nuitée. Mini frigo et micro onde dans la chambre mais tout ( avec l’air climatisé) semble branché sur le même circuit ( 2 prises au total dans la chambre)…Par contre les lits étaient confortables ( assez rare maintenant..) . Moisissures dans la salle de bain et rideau de douche….Correct pour une nuitée mais grand besoin de rénovations !

Travelling from Ontsrio to New Brunswick, grewt place to stay half way. Super convenient, bar/ restaurant right next door for a bite to eat. Staff were friendly and no issues speacking english as we dont speak french.

The room price reflected the facility. Restaurant handy.

Ce motel n'a pas été rafraîchi depuis au moins 40 ans. Tellement humide que les planchers sont glissants! Même pas de ventilation dans la salle de bains! Avec le bain rose, c'est un retour à 1968!

Il y avait une odeur de cigarettes dans la chambre et celle-ci était très humide. Il y avait un cerne de saleté dans la toilette. Il y avait des poils et des cheveux dans le fond du bain et sur les murs. Le sol était sale, spécialement en dessous des lits. Nous étions 4 et il n'y avait seulement des serviettes pour deux personnes. Il n'y avait que deux minuscules échantillons de savon. La porte était difficile à fermer correctement. Les enfants n'étaient pas capable de le faire. À moins d'un mètre de la chambre, il y avait un cendrier plein de vieilles cigarettes. Il était plein d'eau et n'avait visiblement pas été vidé depuis longtemps.

nous avions réservé plusieurs chambres sur différents étages et le commentaires est le même: ameublement vétuste, avec présence de moisissure dans les salles de bain et dans certaines chambres. Ca peut faire la job pour 1 nuit sans plus

Older but updated, they've started updating rooms, looks way better than when I first went 15 years ago. Cheap and ok place to stay the night.

Our room did not lock on the inside and we had no air conditioner. Also there was a lamp with no bulb, so room had limited lighting.

Room too small, need to refresh the room

The hotel was terrible. It was a 30 degree day, and when we arrived around 6-6:30, found out that our room had no air conditioning. Apparently it had broken down that day and couldn't be repaired in time. Looking around the property, several units did not have air conditioning (which were window units only). When we tried to open the windows, there were no screens. There was no key for our room so had to be given the 'original'. The door to our room had obvious marks of being pried/forced open. Upon entering, you could see 2 beds, one with an obvious lean to the right. The room was clean with bare essentials. However, with the humidity in the room, the sheets were damp. I asked at the front desk if we could be moved to another room with air conditioning and was told No. We went for dinner at the restaurant out front. We needed a break as we had driven all day and were involved in a minor accident about a half hour away from the hotel during a rain storm. (I have a police report as proof of this) Dinner was good so we relaxed on their fresh air patio while eating, knowing how hot our room would be. We went back to the room but it was such a disappointment and so warm, that we decided we just couldn't stay. We booked this hotel because nothing else was available in the area and we knew that by leaving, it would mean driving home all night (7 hours) in a damaged vehicle, so not much of a choice. Again I went to the manager and was told No. We left! I would Not recommend this!!

This motel is ok for an overnight. really needs some renovations and updates to it. The beds were soft, the bathroom was clean and the sheets and pillows were clean too. I would definitely put it at a 2 star.

Overall clean motel room. One of the beds was too squeaky. When a neighbor room opens the shower water the pipe vibration sound is to loud in your room. We had hard time to unlock the room door, very difficult to open the door with the key. The room was #17. But the worst was the midnight reckless pub guests or staff. In the middle of the night when the pub was closed a bunch of idiots were out laughing and speaking too loudly that we woke up from that noise. The pub in front is a big problem for those who wants to sleep. At least try to get a room at thhe second building or on the other side of the first building.

We were delayed and didn’t arrive until 11pm. The gentleman called us to ensure we were still coming and waited until we arrived to get us checked in. Very impressed.

The motel didn't have my reservation, it charged wrong amount

The clerk at the office was inexperienced,it took 30 minutes before I get the key for the room

After waiting atbleast 20 minutes for the key to the room since the room was not ready yet, we noticed fhere was no one else staying in the same building as us. It seemed odd that we couldn't just get another room. In the morning, we were woken up by loud drilling so much that we could not hear each other if we didn't yell. As it did not stop, I called front desk,no answer and no one was there when I checked. I followed the sound and found some employees. I told them that this level of noise was not acceptable and left. I coupd not believe it but the noise never stopped. I couldn't leave as I was sick and planned to rest and stay another night. I called to cpnfirm my reservation as check out time had come. I mentioned the noise and was told they would try and move me. The only offer was a rpom anove in the same building where the noise is just as bad. I asked to cancel my reservation for today so I can leave, the clerk was very rude and told me I will be paying anyways. It was noon, the checkout time. I ended up having to stay because the clerk decided to go take the fee from my card righr away. They also add extra fees even though you booked through Expedia. This has been a terrible experience.

My room didn't get clean and I couldn't see any staff when I came back in the night to request towels or anything else. I had to sleep again in a dirty room and use the same towels with my kids for the second time

Je suis assez déçu de mon expérience. Je suis arrivé à 7h du matin et la réception était fermée jusqu’à 11h. De plus, l’établissement est en plein travaux de construction. Comme je travaille de nuit, il m’a été impossible de dormir le jour à cause du bruit. Bref, mauvaise expérience.

It was a nice property not far from Montreal and relatively cheaper than other properties closer to monteral

Check in person very friendly and helpful. Supper at sports bar was very good and staff very friendly and helpful as my French is not that good.

This is possible the most comfortable motel I have stayed in that I remember. Clean, comfortable beds, good air circulation, fantastic nights sleep. If you require a free continental breakfast, pool, gym, etc…this is not the place for you. It is a throwback traditional roadside motel, and it does that extremely well. Would absolutely stay here again. Merci!
