We really liked the location, the bed was comfortable, and a lot was provided to make your own meals. However, there were no basics like sugar packets, the two non stick pans were so scratched and wrecked they were not usable. The pool was advertised as heated but it was easily around 17° so we couldn't use it.

We loved Green Gables Cottages so much! We stayed 6 nights and didn't want to leave! Our little house was so nice, the staff so kind, we enjoyed the pool and the playground!

We booked for 3 nights but ended up leaving after 2. The cottage was clean, and the beds were comfortable with clean mattresses, which we appreciated. Having two rooms was also a nice feature. However, the property overall didn’t meet our expectations for the price. The pool had a green bottom and a torn liner, and there was an old, broken-down lawnmower behind our cottage, which made the area feel neglected. The shower head was leaking and spraying water everywhere, though the staff fixed it quickly once we reported it. In the future, we’d likely stay just outside Cavendish for a better-maintained spot at a more reasonable price.

Was a nice little spot however the cottage was extremely small and outdated. The one bedroom only had room for the bed and dresser, no walking space. The shower was very small and the pull out couch mattress was extremely uncomfortable. The pool was advertised as heated but was very cold. Couple positives > it was clean, lots of fresh towels and wash cloths, the wifi worked and there was a decent playground for my son to play at.

The cottage was not ready until after 5:30pm even though check-in was supposed to be at 3:30pm. The cottages were all very run-down looking with very old, worn paint on the outside. The interior was rough…floors were slanted, doors didn’t close all the way and if they did, they stuck and we had to help kids get out of the bathroom. The paint was chipped and peeling in the bathroom and the shower was very tiny and dated with a short curtain that caused the floor to get soaked every time anyone used it. The sofa was not a pull-out like we were told so we bought a blow-up mattress for one of the kids. The kitchen was tiny but clean enough. We appreciated the daily garbage pick-up. The pool area was tidy even though the pool was old and the liner was ripping out of the sides. Overall the cottage was disappointing.

We had a lovely time in PEI and these cottages were just what we needed. They are older buildings, and a bit rough around the edges, but they are exceptionally clean, they are making updates everywhere and you can tell that the property is cared for. Our cottage was close to the road, which was a bit loud for the kids at night. The pool was in very good condition, and we spent hours in it.

A great experience! The place had all necessary amemtities and then some. They had a clean bbq grill outside which encouraged me to get some meat from the nearby grocery and do some grilling with the family. The place was cozy and private. The access to the washer and dryer was efficient and cost $1.50 per use

This felt like a bait and switch. We signed up for three nights at a “superior cottage” (which sleeps 8) Check in was supposed to be 3:30, however, when we arrived at 4pm it wasn’t ready; we had been traveling but said no problem we just needed to use a washroom. A member of their staff kindly showed us their staff bathroom. When we finally got into the cottage, it was dirty; the towels were filthy and smelled, the sheets were dirty, and the building itself was dilapidated. The pool was cloudy and needed to be skimmed; there were rotten boards everywhere and nails all over the place. For $1200, it was a total rip off; neighboring cottages are a fraction of the price and in much better condition. Do not waste your money here. There are better options.

We recently stayed at green gables cabins and unfortunately our experience was terrible. The cabin was in poor condition- paint chips were falling off the bathroom wall, and the space between the shower and tiles was moldy. There were ants inside, and we ended up having to throw away our kid's snacks and cereal because of them. For what they charge per night, thr condition and cleanliness were completely unacceptable. We would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean and safe stay.

It was old and needed upgrades. The cabin (especially in bathroom) smelled like moisture. The couch was brown of filth. The AC did not cool off the entire cabin. Lawn was not cut and felt like a hay field. The pool was dirty and not warm. The pool area had garbage laying around and at one point a pair of dirty underwear. There were issues with the water temperature which would go from luke warm to boiling hot in the shower. The kitchen sink was clogged and would fill up/back up when being used… I could go on… felt disgusting the entire time…

This property has been a popular place to stay in Cavendish for a very long time. The cottages are old but very well kept.We stayed in the 6 person cottage with 2 bedrooms and pull out sofa. It looked exactly like the pictures on their website, so no surprises there. It had an atmosphere of a cozy log cabin. They had enough kitchen utilities (cutlery, dishes etc.) to support our needs and everything was very clean. I read some not so great reviews after I had booked our stay, but we did not experience any of those things. We were very happy with the cottage we were in and would have liked to have stayed longer but it was just a weekend trip. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to the island. Staff was very friendly as well. Thank you "Green Gables Bungalow Court" for a great weekend!

About what you'd expect from a cottage. Nice little kitchen and living space. Some of the cabins look a bit outdated but ours was suitable for our stay. Earwigs come out at night and there is sometimes musty odour in the air, shower curtain had some mildew on the bottom, towels and linens could be cleaner. Definitely need a car to get to bigger attractions but green gables heritage house, lm montgomery homestead, golf course, and tim hortons are walking distance. Location is safe and quiet.

The outside of the buildings needs some refreshing but once inside everything is clean and well kept. The guy doing reception did a great job getting us settled in after a long day on the road.

It was a nice property right on the highway. Great location. The rooms were old and not maintained well (e.g. paint, rust). The furniture, including bed/mattress, are a few decades old. Not comfortable at all. The fridge was quite loud and right beside the bed. The air conditioner was even louder. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

Green Gables Bungalow Court was a nice location for my wife and I to stay while we were in Cavendish to visit the various sites related to the author of the Anne of Green Gables books. Our cabin was clean, quiet and comfortable for the amount of time we were there. We made use of the kitchen facilities while we were there, there were adequate dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker and tea pot. Communication from the staff was excellent before we arrived. Our cabin would be needing an exterior paint job in the future, however the cabin next to us appeared to be freshly painted as a couple of others did as well. I imagine they have a schedule they follow for that type of exterior work. We would certainly consider returning here if we were to visit Cavendish again

The furniture, beds, windows and doors are quite old. The floor is extremely sloped. We couldn't use the sofa bed in the room because it's very old. The location is very central, but the facilities are very old. The place is too expensive for what it offers.

It was a very quaint cottage but in need of updates. The sofabed was awful!! It was September and the heater in the cottage did not heat the bathroom or the bedroom and was just inches from the sofabed so it was very warm there. Very convenient place to stay but not that comfortable. Lots of the cottages had been painted but not ours.

It was September and the heater in the cottage did not heat the bathroom or the bedroom and was just inches from the sofabed so it was very warm there. Very convenient place to stay but not that comfortable. Lots of the cottages had been painted but not ours.

We had a nice time staying here for 2 nights. The cottage had everything we needed. The outside of the cottages look a bit like they need some paint, but the insides seemed newly renovated and were comfortable. I loved that we could do laundry and it is right next door to Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place.

The pictures don't do it justice. These are little complete cabins with kitchen and shower. Amenities include dishes, a coffee maker, cutery, a stove and fridge/freezer. There is no phone but there IS wifi and a good cell signal is available. The property is very easy to access and the road it's on is relatively quiet so getting in an out is simple. The drive up to the office is straightforward and the staff was friendly. AC and heat are "barely adequate" (the heater really struggled). We would definitely stay here again. The place was clean and comfortable. We could bring our own food and drinks. Check in and check out was super smooth.

The day I was checking in they called me and told me they double booked and needed to move my booking to another property, the manager was extremely rude and unhelpful.

Better than sleeping in a ditch but way too expensive for what you get…. This property is very run down and not worth the price paid. There is a reason it has available rooms when everything else is sold out. The proprietor is not on site and “20 something”year old kids are left to run the place. The kids were nice to deal with and helpful as best they could. They called me on check in day to see what time I was arriving so our cabin would be ready. We arrived 2.5 hrs after check-in time and it still wasn’t ready. The girl was kind enough to give us another cabin so that was a good point! The owner charges additional fees for each guest in the room over the 2 guest limit, regardless of age. My room claims to sleep 6 but could only get 3 comfortably. I’d pass on staying here again.

Great location. We were not told that the pool would be closed. We were told that the chemicals needed to be added to the pool and that the owner would have to do that. The lady at the front desk said that the owner was on his way but when checking back after 6 hours, we were told that the owner was now not coming to do it. The pool was closed for our entire trip, waiting on the owner to come and add chemicals. We were told that we could go to the owners other motel to use that pool but we were asked to leave when we got there. We also did not have towels, toilet paper or bedding for one of the beds when we got there. We walked to the front desk to ask for it and they said it was on its way. Then after an hour of waiting we’re told that the cleaner had gone home so there was nothing they could do until the morning.

Our cabin wasn’t ready when we attempted to check in around 7:15 pm. We had been on the road for four hours and we couldn’t even use their washrooms. It was very disappointing.

The outside of the buildings needs some refreshing but once inside everything is clean and well kept. The guy doing reception did a great job getting us settled in after a long day on the road.

Tried entering my cottage In the early hours with a key before check out, without knocking or anything. I was assured it was an accident, but once again happened when I returned weeks later with my family. Quite ridiculous, and a huge invasion of privacy when paying thousands of dollars.

It was quite cute & quaint place to lay low. Also, was quick walking distance to the beach & the Green Gables historic site. They are off the road so, it is kinda heavy traffic during the day but really quiet at night.

These are older cabins but in pretty good shape. We were surprised that we had basically a full kitchen and living room and porch with a couple of chairs. Real close to the park/beach and right next to the Anne of Green Gables estate exhibit that is a big attraction. Centrally located and park right next to the cabin. Went during off season so some of the stores weren't open but lots of them close to the property.

Very close to the beach and the Anne of Green Gables heritage place. There's an amazing restaurant within walking distance: The Lost Anchor. The houses are cute, little, vintage, and simple. We really liked it!

Cons: This place was probably really cute a long time ago. The cottages do not appear to be well maintained anymore. They are cold and dark inside. Musty smelling. The bathroom is pretty gross. Tiny cramped shower with black mold growing in it. Towels were very scratchy. Window A/C unit was ill fitted, which let a draft get in. The heater is very loud and shuts off on its own. Will blast heat and then shut off during the night so you wake up freezing. There were several small brown bugs in the kitchen and bathroom- a Google image search ID'd them as some type of cockroach nymphs. I did message the property manager about them and never received a reply. The curtain on the front door was not long enough to cover the entire window, so I did not feel that it was private enough. Wifi was really bad and slow, poor signal strength and would drop connection at random times. Pros: It was close to the Green Gables attractions. Price was low.

The bungalows are spacious and quaint. They could use a few updates on the outside but we liked them overall. The bathroom is small but we were provided with lots of towels. The mattresses were a bit soft. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
