We loved our stay at Timber Ridge Lodge. We were greeted on arrival with some hot chocolate and enjoyed s'mores on the outdoor bonfire while chatting with other guests. The room was clean, easy to access and comfortable. The views around the lodge are beautiful and Julie gave us a map with lots of tips for area highlights. We will stay there again if we are in the area!

They had a basket of s’more fixing at the front desk, and we were told that they had a nightly bonfire behind the building to make them at. We met a lot of interesting people at the bonfire. We were also told about a river walk way that went into town, so we wouldn’t have to walk along the highway. I was disappointed that they didn’t have any recycling bins.

Ouray is a quaint little town. The area is full of off roading trails so it is a good location for that. This time of year it seems to go to bed around 8:00 PM. Timber Ridge is a very good hotel. I like that fact that I was able to park my car right next to my room. It was very warm during the day so I liked the air conditioning. The staff was super friendly. There is not hotel breakfast but they do provide a s'more packet for guests where they can be made by the nightly fire. Be aware that there are bears in the area. I almost hit one on the road out of town. I saw a video of a bear walking down the outside walkway right next to the rooms. Overall the hotel was very nice. I would stay their again.

I had a great stay. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. The property has a great outdoor area with a firepit, bbq grills, chairs, tables with umbrellas and nightly smores. The room was clean. I highly recommend this hotel

Enjoyed our time at the Timber Lodge! Very close to downtown Ouray and the hot springs resort. Had the log cabin feel to it and loved the s'mores personal touch. Bed (full) and room were a bit small but we made due. Parking was a little tricky as you had to back out onto the main road to leave but just have to be patient with oncoming traffic, and most of the time cars would stop and wait for you. Would certainly stay again!

The front desk lady was an absolute pleasure, I’m bummed I didn’t catch her name. Very personable, made sure we had everything we needed. The fire pit and smores was so fun and relaxing Will definitely stay again.

If you’re heading to or near Ouray, you’ve got to stay at Timber Ridge Lodge! The rooms are spotless, the lighting options are cozy. They’ve thought of the details when it comes to amenities right down to the s’mores kits and blankets for the nightly fire pit, or towels you can take to the local hot springs. The view is absolutely gorgeous, and there’s a walking trail right out back that follows the Uncompahgre River. We went the last weekend of October and while the leaves had mostly fallen, but it made for a peaceful trip without the crowds. Brian and Julie are such warm, welcoming hosts and really make you feel at home. They are right near Box Cañon, Cascade Falls, and Ridgway State Park. Our family has a wide variety of interests and we were able to please everyone with this trip. We are definitely going back.

We would definitely stay here again. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. There were a few unique cozy touches like home made s’mores to cook over the fire pit outside. They also provided blankets to use while sitting outside by the fire. Julie was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable during our stay.

Dirty floors and surfaces. PAPER THIN WALLS, EXCEPTIONALLY NOISY - water is audible running through pipes in walls day and night. Adjacent rooms are audible as if the people in them are inside your room. TV and coffee maker did not work. Dresser was severely deteriorated with paint and particle board chips present atop it. Staff was unhelpful beyond advising of tourist destinations.

We really enjoyed our stay at Timber Ridge Lodge. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the location was great, and our room was spotless. This is an "old school" motel, but the property has been well-maintained and updated. It was really great to be able to access the trail by the creek to walk into town. Ouray and the surrounding area have lots of stunning scenery and this was a great base for exploring it all. The only real negative was that getting out of the parking lot requires backing into the street, but that wasn't too bad once I had done it a couple of times.

Right by the highway and a little noisy and my room was right behind their sign and with the curtains closed you had the reddish orange glow on the celling all night.

Nice and freshly updated. Our room was close to the main road. Maybe 25 feet! The sound proofing was ok however. Perhaps a second floor is better? Nice to have a restaurant behind the lodge, close by.

The room was a little older and dated, needed a bit of maintenance and updating, but clean and convenient. Lobby was nice with snacks available and free hot chocolate and coffee. Close to highway so you can hear road noise. Room had a fan to drown out noise.

Fantastic customer service, Jo was so welcoming! Loved the 2 mile loop behind the lodge, groomed and well used. I brought my cross country ski’s. Off season is a wonderful time to visit, especially at the Hot Springs.

We loved the place it was clean and comfortable. I was disappointed to find out that the lady at the front desk pretty much interrogated my mom about her service dog and ask questions that the law says you don't need to. Also she wanted to know what her disabilities were which is very very personal. They were really nice about letting us check out later. When we got coffee we were told we had to pay for the donuts which I thought was a little over the top. However I would stay there again maybe just putting them in their place about asking questions about service dogs cuz they're not supposed to it's the law.

We were only there for one night and arrived late but they were so kind and accommodating with our late check in. Specific shout out to Julia who had everything set up for us and even turned on the lamps in our room! I only wish we'd had more time to spend there and we'll definitely be coming back soon!

We enjoyed our stay at Timber Ridge. The property was very clean and the room was comfortable. In addition, the desk manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Area is beautiful and this property was great for what we needed it for. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the room but the lady checking us in gave us the wrong room and charged us and the people ahead of us incorrectly. Caused all our card transaction to be cancelled, refunded, then recharged which had caused issues and I have yet to receive the refund but they sure got my payment. We enjoyed our stay overall just a few things from the lady at the desk that were frustrating.

We arrived late and, being a small-town lodge, the office had already closed. But I called ahead and the staff was super accommodating—they left our metal room keys (yes, the old-school kind!) in a spot we could easily find when we got in. The room itself was excellent—very clean, clearly well cared for, and the beds were comfortable. Everything felt intentional and maintained with pride. This place has that cozy, small-town Colorado charm while still delivering on comfort. Timber Ridge Lodge is a true gem in Ouray, and we’d absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!

The owners were so welcoming and kind! Great recommendations on dining and activities. They really went the extra step with providing a campfire and smores and blankets for the fire! Great place to stay! Room was wonderful and special extra touches like really good lotion and soap they make there!

Posizione comoda vicino al sentiero lungo il fiume, alle sorgenti termali e a pochi passi dalla città, con una bella vista sulle montagne. Essere sulla strada principale comporta un po' di rumore del traffico e rende un po' difficoltose le manovre in uscita dal parcheggio.

The motel is in a convenient location, near but not in the middle of Ouray. The staff is friendly, helpful and AWESOME. Our room was spotlessly clean, spaceous and very comfortable.

Access to river and river walk. Restaurant available behind hotel was nice. Towels available for hot tubs. Cooler was a little loud. Parking near major road..had to back out onto the major road.

Great location. Just outside of the main st. Easy to Walk to the park and downtown. If you do not want to stay right in downtown main street, this place is perfect. The s'mores kit is a great plus.

Enjoyed our time at the Timber Lodge! Very close to downtown Ouray and the hot springs resort. Had the log cabin feel to it and loved the s'mores personal touch. Bed (full) and room were a bit small but we made due. Parking was a little tricky as you had to back out onto the main road to leave but just have to be patient with oncoming traffic, and most of the time cars would stop and wait for you. Would certainly stay again!

Loved Jo at check in, she was great. Clean, comfy, n onvenient location, right on rte 550, 5 minute walk to town. No iron on room, only thing. Great info on hiking trails, fire put at night out back with blankets for guests. No breakfast, However, go to Artisan bakery, great coffee and baked goods. I will definitey stay here again! So peaceful and beautiful.

Nice and freshly updated. Our room was close to the main road. Maybe 25 feet! The sound proofing was ok however. Perhaps a second floor is better? Nice to have a restaurant behind the lodge, close by.

Ouray is a quaint little town. The area is full of off roading trails so it is a good location for that. This time of year it seems to go to bed around 8:00 PM. Timber Ridge is a very good hotel. I like that fact that I was able to park my car right next to my room. It was very warm during the day so I liked the air conditioning. The staff was super friendly. There is not hotel breakfast but they do provide a s'more packet for guests where they can be made by the nightly fire. Be aware that there are bears in the area. I almost hit one on the road out of town. I saw a video of a bear walking down the outside walkway right next to the rooms. Overall the hotel was very nice. I would stay their again.

The owners were so welcoming and kind! Great recommendations on dining and activities. They really went the extra step with providing a campfire and smores and blankets for the fire! Great place to stay! Room was wonderful and special extra touches like really good lotion and soap they make there!

Overnight in Ouray. Hotel is right off main highway walkable to downtown. Parking is tough on main road pulling out. Room was nice..comfortable bed-decent water pressure. Staff friendly. Coffee only in the mornings. No frills stay.

We had a lovely time staying at Timber Ridge Lodge! It was our first time visiting Ouray and we absolutely loved everything about the town and our time at the Lodge. The staff was welcoming and helpful and the accommodations were perfect. The little touches of nightly complimentary s'mores by the fire and free towels to use at the hot springs that were available upon request in the lobby were so nice to have. The towels being available saved our group $40 in towel rentals for every visit to the hot springs. We stayed in the suite to give our group room to relax after long days of hiking and sightseeing and it was such a nice stay. The walk along the river behind the hotel was also beautiful and convenient to get to town and the hot springs on foot. We will be back to visit Ouray, and we already know we'll be back to the Timber Ridge Lodge too.
