Radium Chalet

Overall all, a very pleasant stay. There are both positive and negative reviews of this property and both have valid points. The location is excellent. The rooms all have porches with views. My room was comfortable, clean, quiet, and well appointed (fridge, microwave, coffee maker). The TV offerings were very good: I was able to watch all the MLB playoff games. The owner/manager was very solicitous of my needs and very friendly. But here are the negatives: my fireplace did not work, even after I summoned a staff member. The property is a bit aged, which did not bother me a bit. But my porch was littered with both natural and man-made debris and should have been swept clean (see photos). The property’s ice machine was dead and there was no ice…but the manager offered to fetch some ice from the next-door restaurant. The room was very spacious which included a sitting room with the (nonfunctional) fireplace and TV, but this room had no lighting. It would be very simple to place a floor light in a corner of this room. The sign above the kitchenette sink indicates that guests should wash their own plates and glasses, but this begs the question: as the next guest in the room, how can you know to what standard the prior guest washed the dishes and glasses? The staff should clean these elements to an established standard. And finally, several elements on the exterior signal “neglect” and could be remedied in no time. Amazing views from the room. The building is old and short on maintenance but the AC and fireplace worked well and the bed was comfortable.

They need to restock rooms more often. I was there 3 night's and had to go to front desk twice to get coffee and sweetener.

Chambre propre, petit balcon avec chaises pour admirer superbe vue sur les montagnes et soleil couchant. Calme. Nous avons vraiment apprécié l'hébergement.

Old building, but amazing views! Clean, kind, friendly staff. Highly recommended
