Good size, light room (No. 6) and bathroom (powerful shower in bath) Medium sized, unmovable TV. Good bar and dining area. Friendly Chef. Great food, large portions.... Great Breakfast. Woods 2mins away for long walks (40 mins to a manor house)

Pleasant pub offering good clean well priced accommodation. Friendly staff, Good position, free car parking, excellent views of the village green. Poor wifi was the only downfall.

Friendly welcome. Good food, except for the packet washed salad which I cant stand. Managed to get booked in early. Our dog was made welcome also. Lovely light and airy room. Would have liked some privacy film or net curtains as felt a bit goldfish bowl- like without the curtains being closed. The TV power light was intrusive at night, kept flashing on and off and the blackout curtains didn't meet. The room décor, curtain rails (rusty), mattress. bedstead (rusty, screwed to the wall) and bathroom fittings (chipped enamel, leaky shower over bath) needed TLC, but we understood it was gradually being refurbished and it was very clean and fully functional. Gradual refurbishment was clearly underway which was understandable given the challenges hospitality is facing and it's being a new venture for the current owners. We found it very relaxed and informal, like staying at a friend's home, which suited us and our dog just fine. Would definitely recommend for couples travelling with a dog. Really nice village pub atmosphere and the Ukulele orchestral entertainment and chance to have a sing was much enjoyed :-)

Room looked lovely at first glance. (Room 4). No lock on the window as it was broken/missing and it was immediately next to another room on a corner so I could have reached out and into that room. Meant I couldn’t keep the curtains open for privacy reasons and was uncomfortable not having a lock on the window. Sink had a large chip in and cracks halfway up. There was a wedding reception on the night we checked in and so very reduced menu - of which there was no warning. Ok, we arrived at 8.15 but only options were a fish cake, ribs or fish and chips. Fishcake was large but deep fried and overdone so dry inside. Staff friendly in the bar but chatting when we arrived and took the customer they were chatting with to point them in our direction. Due to reception and the fact it was a small venue it was very loud as our room was right above.

We stayed for two nights - room clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant the first night which was nice food nice bar area too. we then went to eat there the 2nd night also but the restaurant was closed for a private party. It would have been nice to have been told at check in that there was a party and we wouldn't be able to eat there as the other pub serving food was fully. booked and we had to drive out to find somewhere to eat. Only suggestion would be to have bigger cups in the room for tea/coffee.

Booking was confirmed to include breakfast and on arrival we asked for a 9am sitting the next morning. However when we went for breakfast we were told no reservation had been made and the price did not include breakfast because we had a reduced rate of £75 and would have to pay a further £20 if we wanted it. However it stated clearly on the confirmation direct from the Inn that a free breakfast should be included. The room had cobwebs and there were no teaspoons, hand soap or hairdryer supplied. The shower water was also cold. Very disappointing.

Pretty room with lovely big feature windows but not spacious. Tiny TV. Tea/coffee in room allowanced few cups if you needed the 4 sachets of milk but when requested, we were given more. Room wasnt refreshed for our second day which disappointed us. Small shower room but powerful shower. Need

I have stayed here several times as it is a good location in a lovely village near family. But the rooms could be so much better with a little effort! The sink is cracked, the light above the sink not working. There is a trendy rain shower but not everyone wants their hair soaked when they shower! There is no light in the shower cubicle. I had to pull the dressing table forward to access the plug socket for kettle. The decor - silvery curtains etc doesn't suit the room. No information provided if you should want breakfast. I went to nearby cafe. But there was Amazon Prime channel on the TV .....

Beautiful village location. The Robin Hood was a good pub, but not somewhere I'd recommend to stay. The room was right above the bar, and so was noisy until late. Unfortunately, the room had no heating, the toilet didn't flush, had no hot water and the luke warm shower only lasted as long as it took to fill the shower tray with water as this didn't drain. The bed was incredibly soft, which some may like. Luckily our stay was only 1 night and a flying visit.

Greeting by staff was a bit muddled as one person started, and one person interupted. Room was okay, view onto green, but was above doorway into pub where people came outside to smoke. Bed was a short double so my feet stuck out of end of bed (I am not over 6 feet in height). Steep stairs to rooms.

Friendly bar staff however I was told by the owner that as no one else would be having breakfast there would be none available despite it being on my booking. I did not argue as I suspected that they had been enjoying themselves that day

Thought it was great until the security alarm went off about 2am till 5pm no one even came to check why 🙄

It was disappointing to find the pub had been notified that our stay and others we were with had been cancelled? Luckily as we all arrived for a wedding nearby rooms were still available. Staff were very friendly hoping to make our stay a goodcone.

Good size, light room (No. 6) and bathroom (powerful shower in bath) Medium sized, unmovable TV. Good bar and dining area. Friendly Chef. Great food, large portions.... Great Breakfast. Woods 2mins away for long walks (40 mins to a manor house)

Lovely welcoming stay, convenient for short drive to catch ferry the following day. Room was good but disappointed to have no remote and so couldn’t watch TV and unwind after a long day. Didn’t eat so can’t comment on food.

Pleasant pub offering good clean well priced accommodation. Friendly staff, Good position, free car parking, excellent views of the village green. Poor wifi was the only downfall.

The staff were friendly and the pub was so convenient for walks for the dogs and for places to eat. The dogs were comfortable and happy and we had everything we needed.

I booked a couple of rooms as a frienc and I was visiting Portsmouth for the football and the train links to Fratton are excellent but I had no idea about Rowlands Castle. The village was beautiful and the 'Robin Hood Inn' was right on the green. The accommodation was very comfortable (although I was only here for one night) and really clean. I went to bed quite early 11pm and although the pub was stjll open the noise was limited and did not disturb me and I had a good nights sleep. We had a few pints in the bar and it was nice and friendly. Unfortunately we did not have any food including breakfast but their were a quite a few diners and it looked like everone enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and professional. My only negative would have been if visiting with the wife, that the bed was only a double and we are now used to bigger, so ask if thats what you need.

Lovely location with a lot of character. The host let us check in early and there was an event that evening which was great. Room was comfy and looked nice. My only areasfor improvement would be that the room was a little dusty and there was a plug behubd the dresser (which was the main one) which was hangin off the wall so could'nt be used.

We stayed for two nights - room clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant the first night which was nice food nice bar area too. we then went to eat there the 2nd night also but the restaurant was closed for a private party. It would have been nice to have been told at check in that there was a party and we wouldn't be able to eat there as the other pub serving food was fully. booked and we had to drive out to find somewhere to eat. Only suggestion would be to have bigger cups in the room for tea/coffee.

Lovely pub hotel, looks like been refurbished recently new carpets etc. staff very friendly and helpful. Didn’t eat there in evening, but breakfast was fantastic. Couple of areas that need looking at, the mattress was probably the worst we have slept on, kept hearing the springs ping, minor thing no spoon with t and coffee in room, but easily sorted, shelf in bathroom not secure and at an angle so couldn’t use properly as things kept sliding off.

Friendly bar staff however I was told by the owner that as no one else would be having breakfast there would be none available despite it being on my booking. I did not argue as I suspected that they had been enjoying themselves that day

Booked B&B 10 months in advance, but breakfast no longer available during stay. Rooms ok, warm but fan provided. Shower bijou!! Location ideal for us, staff fab, restaurant food lovely.

Room looked lovely at first glance. (Room 4). No lock on the window as it was broken/missing and it was immediately next to another room on a corner so I could have reached out and into that room. Meant I couldn’t keep the curtains open for privacy reasons and was uncomfortable not having a lock on the window. Sink had a large chip in and cracks halfway up. There was a wedding reception on the night we checked in and so very reduced menu - of which there was no warning. Ok, we arrived at 8.15 but only options were a fish cake, ribs or fish and chips. Fishcake was large but deep fried and overdone so dry inside. Staff friendly in the bar but chatting when we arrived and took the customer they were chatting with to point them in our direction. Due to reception and the fact it was a small venue it was very loud as our room was right above.

Amazing staff lovely food, The bar area was fully booked for football but Steve was lovely and invited us to sit on a table and invited us for the football, a lovely run place and we were made very welcome. We will defo stay again

Parking just behind the pub, very convenient, warm welcome from staff, large double aspect comfortable room. I appreciated the bath & size of the bathroom, just a few bits of maintenance needed but none to spoil a very pleasant stay.

what a lovely place. I had all sort of problems getting there due to train cancellations and ended up driving. It meant that I was going to arrive later than planned, however, I still received such a friendly welcome that it made everything worth while. The hotel is lovely with exceptional staff and I could not recommend staying here highly enough. I will definitely be staying here whenever I am in the area.

Staff and people at the Hotel were friendly and accommodating however the room was extremely stuffy with no air con in the roof we did have to ask for a fan which Atleast allowed us to sleep ok. Bathroom towel railings were extremely rusty and the shower didn’t provide full flow of water pressure due to limescale build up. It would have been helpful to have a mini fridge in the room to Atleast keep water cool. Lovely weather lovely people. I know you were busy entertaining an event but we had to wait ages for our main meals which wasn’t ideal especially as we had travelled and not eaten they did apologise but £78 waiting for 1 main meal and a side I didn’t feel was value for money. They were made aware but didn’t resolve anything.
