This place far exceeded my expectations. We had a room in the last, back left building. GREAT views! The rooms are immaculately clean. The grounds are HEAVENLY. Every inch has been cared for and nurtured. Green grass, flowers galore, even a tiny hiking trail with amazing views. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever felt. We had the best nights sleep. Nothing bad to say about this place. Would LOVE to visit again.

Surprisingly spacious room! Gorgeous view of the river. Even if you don’t get a River view room, there are several places on the property with chairs on the bluff to sit and enjoy the view. I highly recommend this place.

This property is a hidden gem. The grounds are amazing, full of stunning gardens, and the view of the river is fantastic. There are outdoor games for the kids, and an overlook where the adults can enjoy a beverage while watching the sunset. Our room even had a fireplace. I would highly recommend!

This is a well maintained place on the Columbua river with a great view. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with places to sit, firepits, BBQ's, tables. The room was small but very ckean and comfortable with a great view from the room. Its a quick drive to downtown Hood River.

The location was great as it sat on a cliff of the Columbia River. The grounds were impeccable with beautiful flowers and trees. They had Adirondack chairs on the cliff so you could enjoy the view. It was fun watching kite surfers in the river. We didn’t realize Hood River is known as pthe top kite surfing capitol of the world. The bed was very comfortable. The buildings are older but well kept up. Wonderful stay.

The bluff overlooking the Columbia was some of the most relaxing time we have ever had on vacation. Not too many people, gorgeous views, comfy chairs and the beautiful garden of flowers walking up to the bluff couldn't have been more perfect!

The motel is very dog friendly. The gardens and walking paths are beautiful and peaceful. The view of the river is also special. The room was comfortable and it was fun to have a metal key!

Thr rooms were very clean and very nice. Nice sized room with a door to a private balcony with chairs. The grounds are gorgeous with a play area for kids, a grill and picnic tables. The landscaping is filled with lots of flowers and trees. Close to the beautiful Columbia River. If ever in the area, I would highly recommend this place.

The grounds were beautiful with mature trees, blooming perennials and bright annuals. Lots of areas for walking the dog with poop bags. Balconies had lovely views across the Columbia River.

They are managing it with great care and love!! There are many beautiful flowers along the road and the yard in front of the building is a wonderful place to enjoy the river. The staff are super nice and welcoming. The room was clean and lovely. It has a good view for the Columbia River as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place! The grounds were well kept and beautiful and we had a lovely view of the water while taking a short walk around. The room was SO clean and the vaulted ceilings really made the large space of our double-bedded room seem even bigger. Check in was efficient, staff were friendly and parking was easy and hassle free. Location is just off the highway, so was really convenient and close to downtown Hood River, where we shopped and ate. We did have our own car. We'd come back in a heartbeat!

Great check in experience, very friendly! Room was spacious and quiet. Shower head rained down on you, great for a slow shower. Clean room, towels, bed. Will definitely stay here again!

As most hotels in the area, this is an older complex, but very quaint. Beautiful grounds, with a good view of the river. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but I wasn't crazy about the pillows. We enjoyed the balcony, which faced the river - but again, it was more about the beautiful grounds. The WiFi was sketchy and slow, but that was our only real complaint.

Everything under the control of the hotel was great. It was clean, and service was very good. The incurable defect that can’t be controlled is road noise from I-84. The noise is VERY loud, and interrupted our enjoyment of the room, the deck and our sleep. As a result, we would not return.

we have booked this place in two different time on expedía. one for 4 nights and another just for one night. we specify our reservation of two queen beds, and get confirmation from expedía verified. but before the check in time we get a email from the Westcliff loge and saying we booked one king bed room. when we called them to notify them that they made a mistake, the lady on the phone is very rude and immediately blame Expedia which we know it is impossible because we have Expedia's confirmation in hand which clearly indicated the correct room type. Then the lady told us she can't do nothing for us and they all booked, and the mistake is nothing to do with them witch clearly is their fault, finally we have to cancel the reservation and luckily we fond very nice room that we needed across street from Holiday Inn and Suites. The way she treat customer is so unprofessional, it is unacceptable. We end up still stayed this hotel on our second on night reservation later on. the room is good spacious but my husband and I spend 2 hours to kill 5 flies in the room from day time cleaning people keep door open. hotel is no breakfast is inconvenient, all other hotels in the area provide breakfast. overall it is not so pleasant experience for us.

Very friendly and helpful at check-in. Gave us great tips on restaurants and things to do. Accommodated early check-in request. Room was very clean. Grounds are beautiful with great overlook of the river. Only negative was size of bathroom, but still adequate.

Love this place. I’ve stayed here each time I’m in Hood River. It’s close to everything, quiet, dog friendly. It’s really hands off which I like. They will help you with anything you need but they’re not overbearing.

After 2 nights at this lodge, we’ve decided we’d absolutely be back. While the hotel is older, it is extremely clean and comfortable! The area surrounding the lodge is great! Very pretty and fun to explore. Beautiful views of the river from the room as well as from the trails surrounding the lodge. It’s very close to downtown and lots of food and drink options nearby.

After 2 nights at this lodge, we’ve decided we’d absolutely be back. While the hotel is older, it is extremely clean and comfortable! The area surrounding the lodge is great! Very pretty and fun to explore. Beautiful views of the river from the room as well as from the trails surrounding the lodge. It’s very close to downtown and lots of food and drink options nearby.

Diamond in the rough - not that driving up looks bad - but the inside of the room and the property behind the road/checkin area is AMAZING. I didn’t walk to/from downtown from here, but it’s a 5 minute drive. Would definitely stay here again.

Property is fine, clean, nice shower and bathroom. We heard traffic from I84 all night! I would recommend asking for a room as close to the river as possible to decrease traffic noise.

This hotel is older, but the location is amazing and the views are stunning. We were only here for one night but I was able to enjoy the balcony view off our room. When booking it is definitely worth paying a little extra for the view, however, there is no elevator so if you have mobility issues it might be a problem for you? The rooms are older but very large and roomy. The beds were comfortable and had a refrigerator and coffee pot. Check in was easy and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to others!

This hotel is older, but the location is amazing and the views are stunning. We were only here for one night but I was able to enjoy the balcony view off our room. When booking it is definitely worth paying a little extra for the view, however, there is no elevator so if you have mobility issues it might be a problem for you? The rooms are older but very large and roomy. The beds were comfortable and had a refrigerator and coffee pot. Check in was easy and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to others!

Everything under the control of the hotel was great. It was clean, and service was very good. The incurable defect that can’t be controlled is road noise from I-84. The noise is VERY loud, and interrupted our enjoyment of the room, the deck and our sleep. As a result, we would not return.

Great river/mountain view from our 2-queen balcony room, which was very large and scrubbed clean. Fridge, microwave, iron, TV with many channels/networks, full length mirror. Coffee maker with locally-ish sourced coffee. (Which, however, was the only bad thing about our stay. Very bad.) The entrance to the campus was a little discouraging, but the room was super. February Sunday night price was a great bargain.

NIce place but . . . no breakfast, and no option for loading apps on the TV so we could watch the football game on Amazon Prime. For what they charge, they should include breakfast. Nice view of the river from the high-top table in the room, but the seats on the balcony are standard height, so the railing blocks the view of the river.

Very spacious room with incredible view of the Gorge. Clean and comfortable. Has a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Could not find that on the website. Would recommend very highly. Only con: Only one restaurant (Indian) and no store nearby for water, snacks, etc. Be sure to come prepared with your own stash.

Wonderfully kept grounds and nicely kept clean rooms . Bed was excellent and the shower was full flow and refreshing. The in room coffee provided was however un -drinkable but a Safeway with a Starbucks was a three minute drive away. All in all, a great place to stay.

The receptionist was knowledgeable about the area and provided us with dinner and breakfast recommendations that enhanced our vacation immensely. The room was beautiful and included a picture window, allowing us gorgeous views of the property’s gardens and of the river. We appreciated the solid wood furniture, comfortable bed and bedding, beautiful shower, glass wine glasses, window screens, fridge, and microwave. The gardens, trees, picnic areas, and patio were simply amazing! We slept with the windows open and woke with the birds. So restful, so quiet. Everything was truly perfect!

Lovely location on the river, the room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly. Lovely walkable grounds. You do have to drive for shopping and restaurants, but the location is worth it.

The pictures online were definitely misleading. Only a few rooms had the waterfront view. Rooms were soooo outdated, and again the pictures were misleading. For the amount of money this place is charging per night, I would not go back. The property was nice if you had the waterfront view. Our room looked in the parking lot and was the only window.

At first, pulling into the registration, I thought I just book an ordinary motel. But when I opened the door to my room I was blown away by the big room with the excellent view. A full kitchen. The grounds were beautiful with birds everywhere. Comfortable beds. The best place out of five hotels I stayed in all trip.
