This hotel was outstanding from the beauty of the building and it's surroundings and the great internal decor and artifacts. With the history maintained while at the same time making it modern and comfortable. Staff were absolutely great, friendly and attentive and made sure our stay was all it could be! There is plenty of parking but I didn't require this. Breakfast was great with a good self service continental selection plus a decent cooked breakfast served to the table. My only note to the hotel for improvement is to change the sausages used, but this could simply be my preference as the current ones used are good. In addition the price for including breakfast on your booking is very reasonable unlike some hotels including the so called budget chains! Staying in Bath...then stay at The Boathouse!

The boathouse was absolutely fantastic. The property is right by the river so it's just the perfect place for great rest, a cold drink in the terrace, and nice meals. We had a room with a balcony, and the bed was fantastic, the bathroom nice and spacious and the it was so well appointed and decorated. It was a pleasure to spend time in the room.

Atmospheric pub with rooms with a rowing club interior design style. It was a quality experience from check in to check out. Breakfast was one of the luxurious and extensive I’ve seen. Friendly, thoughtful service. Quiet comfortable room. A busy local bar and beer garden on Tuesday I stayed. Burger and single draught pint was £25.

A beautiful place to stay and very friendly/helpful staff. It was perfect for the christmas break away we wanted to relax and escape busy life. The food and service was spot on and a lovely relaxed vibe surrounded by nature. The only begative was the room we booked was labelled to have a balcony and river riew, which is why i chose it for that extra reason. We had a comfy plus double room and it says balcony and river view on the booking site with this room, even under the room amenities it states balcony and river view for this room. Unfortilunately when we got shown to our room we had no balcony and a view of the car park and entrance, so everyone can see in as they drive or walk in. We tried to change but all the rooms were full so they could not. We still had a lovely stay, enjoying the river walk and surroundings from outside or down at the bar/restaurant. We would go back but confirm with the property wgich room we would be booking before confirming on booking sites as it is misleading and it was a bit disapointing when we found out. Would recomend a visit though.

We went for a family wake. The venue was lovely and the staff were fantastic, really helpful. We stayed in Room 1 overnight ans it was clean and tidy and quirky. The view onto the lake was beautiful. will definitely book again

Beds we very comfortable. Good quality sheets and duvet, perfectly pressed. We had two rooms. One with a balcony overlooking the river. Well worth the extra cost for before and after dinner river watching and early morning. The second room was labelled cosy double but had plenty of room. Staff very friendly and good menus. I really like that atmosphere. It’s relaxed and classy at the same time.

Good having park & ride outside as to far to walk into Bath. Although there was a car park the parking bays were rather small and notices up about fines if certain rules not adhered too. Room No 9 had no views which was a disappointment and was above the kitchen so room smelt of food all the time.

We have just spent wednesday night at the Boat house hotel.The room was lovely, excellent shower & very comfortable bed. The staff where excellent , especially Nathan, who greeted us on arrival. There was some confusion over our booking, and Nathan sorted it out quickly and proffesionally. We had a fabulouse stay, and will defnatly return. We highly recommend.

Approaching the Boathouse from the opposite side of the river, ones level of anticipation increases but its stunning position perch on the banks of the river are the last positives I can give this mediocre establishment. Welcome? What welcome! I waited at ‘Reception’ but nobody appeared. I asked the barman if I was in the right place and only then, he offered to find someone. When the ‘someone’ arrived there were no pleasantries. I’ve received a more enthusiasm at a Travelodge! The room was nice room with a view of the car park - I obviously hadn’t paid enough for a river view and it was well equipped with a huge super king bed. I returned to the bar to enjoy a drink on veranda and watch the latter stages of the sun going down across the river. Sadly, the tables outside were festooned with dirty glasses and dinner plates from diners who had got up and left. The general lack of staff, trained or otherwise, was quite noticeable. I went inside to eat; a decision I was to regret. Once again, service was in short supply and when my order was taken, it took ages before my food arrived: a tepid, unpleasant plate of food. The young girl was so busy, there was no offer of any accompaniments and it was only when I went to find some that I had the opportunity to request the aforementioned. Nobody asked if my meal was ok (3 out of 10) or showed any care, interest or professionalism. So sad as the location of the Boathouse has huge potential. Breakfast, however, was very good.

Nobody asked if my meal was ok (3 out of 10) or showed any care, interest or professionalism. So sad as the location of the Boathouse has huge potential. Breakfast, however, was very good.

Lovely stay, friendly and helpful staff , room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent lots of choices . Parking was easy and so convenient to the park and ride. Will be definitely be coming back.

Breakfast was not included so extra £12.50 each, could have provided continental breakfast free but pay for cooked, there are no other options for food around. The boathouse was absolutely fantastic. The property is right by the river so it's just the perfect place for great rest, a cold drink in the terrace, and nice meals. We had a room with a balcony, and the bed was fantastic, the bathroom nice and spacious and the it was so well appointed and decorated. It was a pleasure to spend time in the room.

The room was very clean and spacious. Park and Ride into Bath a short walk away as well as river walks and bike trails. Lovely, freshly cooked food. Staff were really friendly and accommodating.

This hotel was outstanding from the beauty of the building and it's surroundings and the great internal decor and artifacts. With the history maintained while at the same time making it modern and comfortable. Staff were absolutely great, friendly and attentive and made sure our stay was all it could be! There is plenty of parking but I didn't require this. Breakfast was great with a good self service continental selection plus a decent cooked breakfast served to the table. My only note to the hotel for improvement is to change the sausages used, but this could simply be my preference as the current ones used are good. In addition the price for including breakfast on your booking is very reasonable unlike some hotels including the so called budget chains! Staying in Bath...then stay at The Boathouse!

Accommodation was very good except we didn’t like the bath/ shower. Not the room I booked. Restaurant attractive but slow service in the evening and at breakfast.

Atmospheric pub with rooms with a rowing club interior design style. It was a quality experience from check in to check out. Breakfast was one of the luxurious and extensive I’ve seen. Friendly, thoughtful service. Quiet comfortable room. A busy local bar and beer garden on Tuesday I stayed. Burger and single draught pint was £25.

Approaching the Boathouse from the opposite side of the river, ones level of anticipation increases but its stunning position perch on the banks of the river are the last positives I can give this mediocre establishment. Welcome? What welcome! I waited at ‘Reception’ but nobody appeared. I asked the barman if I was in the right place and only then, he offered to find someone. When the ‘someone’ arrived there were no pleasantries. I’ve received a more enthusiasm at a Travelodge! The room was nice room with a view of the car park - I obviously hadn’t paid enough for a river view and it was well equipped with a huge super king bed. I returned to the bar to enjoy a drink on veranda and watch the latter stages of the sun going down across the river. Sadly, the tables outside were festooned with dirty glasses and dinner plates from diners who had got up and left. The general lack of staff, trained or otherwise, was quite noticeable. I went inside to eat; a decision I was to regret. Once again, service was in short supply and when my order was taken, it took ages before my food arrived: a tepid, unpleasant plate of food. The young girl was so busy, there was no offer of any accompaniments and it was only when I went to find some that I had the opportunity to request the aforementioned. A beautiful place to stay and very friendly/helpful staff. It was perfect for the christmas break away we wanted to relax and escape busy life. The food and service was spot on and a lovely relaxed vibe surrounded by nature. The only begative was the room we booked was labelled to have a balcony and river riew, which is why i chose it for that extra reason. We had a comfy plus double room and it says balcony and river view on the booking site with this room, even under the room amenities it states balcony and river view for this room. Unfortilunately when we got shown to our room we had no balcony and a view of the car park and entrance, so everyone can see in as they drive or walk in. We tried to change but all the rooms were full so they could not. We still had a lovely stay, enjoying the river walk and surroundings from outside or down at the bar/restaurant. We would go back but confirm with the property wgich room we would be booking before confirming on booking sites as it is misleading and it was a bit disapointing when we found out. Would recomend a visit though.

Really great stay. Super comfy bed. Incredible building and location. Generous breakfast. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Really couldn’t fault. :) A+ Maddie at breakfast so accommodating and happy.

Lovely location overlooking the river. Walking distance to the Park and Ride bus into Bath, which was very convenient. The staff were very friendly and approachable and the food in the pub was excellent. Warm and comfortable room. The balcony to Room 5 needs replacing as some of the wood is rotten, but it is still pleasant to sit out when the weather is ok.

I have adored my stay at The Dolphin Hotel. It has been a perfect haven and a truly indulgent experience. I am most grateful to the manager for a generous room upgrade and to all staff for making me feel so welcome and at home. The bed and bedding is divine, and the decor and choice of artwork just my cup of tea. I love the little touches, the retro radio with Bluetooth so you can play your own music, retro kettle, excellent choice of drinks & daily biscuits. All has been perfection. Breakfast is very good too!

The Boathouse has fast become my favourite place to stay in Bath. It may not be city central but this riverside setting has a unique charm and the bedrooms are divine. The Boathouse has a Wind in the Willows theme, influencing the character of each bedroom. I’ve stayed in three rooms and each one is a delight. The beds are extremely comfortable; the shower & bath products are high quality & even their teas and coffee are chosen for indulgence, not bare necessity.
