Apu Huascaran Hostal

This was a decent hotel overall but a few things that happened is the reason for the 3 star rating. A member of the cleaning staff took a dookie in my toilet while I was out. I get it that sometimes when you gotta go, you gotta go, and I'm not knocking them for that. However, if you clog said toilet, especially with the toilet paper that needs to go in a basket, own up to it and get it fixed before the guest comes back. It was awkward going to the front desk about this, but they were quick to fix the issue. The atrium of the hotel was very noisy at all hours. Lots of tours start at 4am, so there is a lot of hustle and bustle that you can hear through your room. There are also late arrivals where a doorbell needs to be rung to be let in. It echoes throughout the atrium when it chimes. Bring your ear plugs. The hot water wasn’t dependable. Sometimes you had a nice, strong hot shower and others you had to hustle to get the soap off as you felt the cold water seep in. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. When our group left for a 4am trek, the hotel gave us a brown bag breakfast, which was nice. The breakfast was typical for Peruvian hotels, including all the usual items. Out of the 3 hotels I stayed at on my trip, this was my least favorite, but it was affordable and in a great location. All the major attractions were walkable from here and there were some great restaurants in the area. It could also accommodate for our large group.

Loved it! Very god location, nice courtyard for sitting and having breakfast, and super friendly staff. The hot water was just sufficient. Would definitely recommend!

Charming hotel, delicious breakfast and friendly staff. When the family room we booked was accidentally given to somebody else, they gave us two rooms next to each other instead. Courtyard is a nice place to sit and read. Staff helped us get a taxi to our next stop in our travels. This is the second time we have been here and we will continue to come back in the future.

This property is beautiful. It’s just a few blocks from the plaza. Best of all, the staff were incredible. My son broke his glasses while on the trip and the receptionist walked with us to the optometrist. We couldn’t find someone to fix them but she went from one store to the next until we found someone. She went above and beyond to help us. Both Vanessa and Joshua went above and beyond for us. They are so kind and hospitable

Easy and convenient. The courtyard is a nice feature and is a peaceful space amid the city. The breakfast was very good and the staff are very helpful!

It’s a cozy atmosphere. Front desk was really nice and accommodating. The woman handling breakfast was working very hard and did a great job. I really appreciated her. She made my mornings start off nicely and she always kept everything clean and supplied. She is great. Some rooms need updating and they need to put towel racks in bathrooms. They cleaned daily which was nice.

This place was adorable! The room was spotless, and the employees were all so nice. They start breakfast really early in the day so we were always able to grab something on our way out on our early tours. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the center of the historical center and literally steps away from a pharmacy and just down the block from a couple of convenient stores. Plenty of small shops and food places within minutes of walking. Highly recommend it if you are visiting Cusco!

A nossa opção de viagem era um hotel mais simples mesmo justamente pelo fato que iriamos ficar fora em passeios o dia todo. É um hotel bom pelo preço que pagamos, mas não espere luxos. A cama é confortavel e tem limpeza todo dia, mas não repoe sabonete e shampoo todo dia, que não são de boa qualidade então não duram muito. Outra coisa que incomodava é que a janela do nosso banheiro dava de frente pra area de café. Café da manhã bom, porem pouca opção, faz ovo na hora mas poderia ter mais variedade de frutas. Também não preparam um café antecipado pra vc levar no dia de passeio muito cedo, comum em varios hoteis.

Hotel was super cute and comfortable, breakfast was very good, staff was great and allowed us to leave our bags over night while going to Machu , would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone,

I loved this hotel. The room was so cute with doors that opened up onto the street. The whole property just gives such a relaxing energy. Great breakfast and the staff were so kind and helpful.

El hotel no honra el concepto VIP. Los cuartos no están identificados a tal extremo que nos abrieron la puerta en la noche por equivocación. La localización es algo insegura y difícil su acceso a pie porque hay que subir una cuesta y no cuenta con TV.

Todo Bien,Buena zona,con varios restaurantes,mercados,farmacias cerca del centro.Las chicas muy atentas y siempre tratando de resolver nuestras necesidades y guiándonos para cualquier duda o pregunta…Camas cómodas y habitacion comfortable.Lo recomiendo…

O melhor da nossa estadia foi o atendimento da equipe, que tem uma nova administração recentemente. Super simpáticos, não sossegaram antes de conseguirem um early check in pra gente, ficaram com nossas malas para irmos a Machu Picchu. Além disso, foram super atenciosos durante toda a estadia. Recomendamos muito!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They hold my luggage before and after my stay, for 5 days and 3 days. Very safe. Highly recommend.

The hotel is located in walking distance from the main sites and the central square of Cusco. Loved the staff, the rooms and the service offered.

Spent six nights with Mach Picchu sandwiched in the middle. Very pleasant, great location to work to central plaza & plenty of great restaurants nearby. Staff was super friendly.

Above and beyond! First of all it’s just a great place! I also then left a beloved hat . I contacted them a few days later and they sent it back to me. Just got it and couldn’t be happier.

The staff was so helpful from allowing us to store our large luggage while we went to Machu Picchu to arranging a special last minute tour to the Sacred Valley as well as preparing a nice breakfast with made to order eggs. This is a small family run hotel, centrally located, well run and a very nice place to stay.

I like the convenient location of the hotel, just couple of blocks from Plaza de Armas and the variety of restaurants and bars at walking distance
