Super friendly and welcoming staff. Nice simple accommodation in a nice looking lodge. Location is convenient for walking to V&A / Green Point / Sea Point. Honesty Bar is a nice touch.

Nice location in Green Point. The parking situation is quite tricky, as it's all on/next to the main road (the security guard is very helpful with this though). The staff at reception were very friendly, however they didn't really go out of their way to accommodate requests, namely: 1) We asked for a King bed in our booking, but got 2 doubles, when we raised this we were told we could just push them together and it's the same (it's not) 2) The TV remote batteries were flat, when we raised this we were told we could bring the remote down or some batteries up ourselves, instead of this being handled by the staff for us (would expect a bit more from a 4 star establishment). Also found the coffee from their machine in the eating area was really not great, they should probably look at calibrating it or changing their beans or something.

Very much enjoyed my first stay at Head South Lodge! The guesthouse is in a great location - close to Sea Point and the promenade along the water, but also 20-30 min walk to V&A Waterfront and a quick 10 min Uber to City Bowl. Bed was very comfortable, WiFi worked well, they have secure parking in front of the guesthouse. All of the staff were so kind, felt very safe here, and excellent breakfasts. I will be back!

As vagas para estacionamento são liimitadas e fiquei inseguro em deixar o carro na rua apesar de ter um segurança. Nosso quarto tinha janela pra rua. Não tinha nem como abrir a cortina. Banheiro estranho com pia para fora do banheiro. Boa localização.

Great location - a short walk to the promenade by Green Point lighthouse. There is a hot breakfast which is delicious and made to order. The front terrace is a nice place to sit out in the evenings, and there is an honesty bar. Place feels secure with a member of staff always on duty by the front gate. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Big thanks to Lee :)

Stayed for 12 nights in the deluxe room on the top floor at the back of the property. Found the room to be of very high standard very spacious and very well equipped with more than adequate air conditioning. I was made to feel very welcome and found the staff extremely helpful I was particularly impressed with the breakfast selection and the general cleanliness Hotel was particularly suited for my needs as it was a great location for all the connections to the tourist excursions. In summary, I found my whole experience during my stay to be most comfortable and in my opinion value for money. Has a solo traveller I couldn't recommend this establishment highly enough.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in der Head South Lodge! Alle Mitarbeiter waren super lieb und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren groß, modern und super ausgestattet - es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Auch die Lage zwischen Meer, Lions Head und direkt an der Main Road, wo sich viele Cafés, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten finden, war perfekt! Wir kommen gerne wieder

Adorei a estadia, a recepção muito educada e sempre soliícita em nos ajudar! Perto de tudo, nem precisamos alugar carro, pois estávamos perto de tudo. O quarto era confortável e Wi fi pegava super bem. No geral, gostei bastante e pretendo voltar outras vezes!

Customer service was excellent, and hotel staff were accommodating and beyond friendly. Our room had a pleasant balcony, and we easily Ubered from the hotel to wherever we needed to go in the city. Breakfast buffet and the coffee options were also excellent!:) We did struggle with not being able to contact the lodge on our way in (we tried reaching out through the Expedia app but got no response), as we hoped for airport pickup or transportation suggestions. Unfortunately we did not hear back and ended up getting massively ripped off by a taxi who charged us about 4x the normal rate. Our advice: uber uber uber!!

The staff were both professional and kind. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The breakfasts were well done and I loved that we were able to serve ourselves drinks and snacks on the honor system.

Really impressed with everything, from location to cleanliness. I had two separate bookings which meant we needed to change rooms but the lady at reception (Jade?) pulled some strings to ensure we could stay put. Thanks so much

request for refund. We have booked a hotel reservation for Cape Town for May 13 to May 14, 1 night. At our arrival in Cape Town SA, we were unable to get in contact with the hotel, despite multiple phone calls and e mails prior to departure from Montreal. Such a great stay here! The staff were so kind and helpful, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the morning breakfast is excellent. The main manager will help you with any need, from extra blankets to laundry-by-order.

Customer service was excellent, and hotel staff were accommodating and beyond friendly. Our room had a pleasant balcony, and we easily Ubered from the hotel to wherever we needed to go in the city. Breakfast buffet and the coffee options were also excellent!:) We did struggle with not being able to contact the lodge on our way in (we tried reaching out through the Expedia app but got no response), as we hoped for airport pickup or transportation suggestions. Unfortunately we did not hear back and ended up getting massively ripped off by a taxi who charged us about 4x the normal rate. Our advice: uber uber uber!!

Nice location in Green Point. The parking situation is quite tricky, as it's all on/next to the main road (the security guard is very helpful with this though). The staff at reception were very friendly, however they didn't really go out of their way to accommodate requests, namely: 1) We asked for a King bed in our booking, but got 2 doubles, when we raised this we were told we could just push them together and it's the same (it's not) 2) The TV remote batteries were flat, when we raised this we were told we could bring the remote down or some batteries up ourselves, instead of this being handled by the staff for us (would expect a bit more from a 4 star establishment). Very much enjoyed my first stay at Head South Lodge! The guesthouse is in a great location - close to Sea Point and the promenade along the water, but also 20-30 min walk to V&A Waterfront and a quick 10 min Uber to City Bowl. Bed was very comfortable, WiFi worked well, they have secure parking in front of the guesthouse. All of the staff were so kind, felt very safe here, and excellent breakfasts. I will be back!

Adorei a estadia, a recepção muito educada e sempre soliícita em nos ajudar! Perto de tudo, nem precisamos alugar carro, pois estávamos perto de tudo. O quarto era confortável e Wi fi pegava super bem. No geral, gostei bastante e pretendo voltar outras vezes!

Great location - a short walk to the promenade by Green Point lighthouse. There is a hot breakfast which is delicious and made to order. The front terrace is a nice place to sit out in the evenings, and there is an honesty bar. Place feels secure with a member of staff always on duty by the front gate. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Big thanks to Lee :)

Breakfast and facilities were satisfactory, however, the airport pickup negated all this. I had arranged and confirmed airport pickup with the hotel. We arrived on time, but nobody was there for us. After a while, we tried to call the hotel, but couldn’t get through. No airport officials were available. Luckily a cell service provider helped us contact the hotel receptionist, who would look into it. We contacted him a second time and he said no car was coming and we should get an Uber. We explained we didn’t have Uber, nor did we know how to use it. He said it was easy then hung up. I trusted the hotel to arrange the ride specifically to avoid just this situation. How could they desert us that way? Meanwhile we had been standing in the airport area, being harassed by many questionable drivers. We took a ride with someone claiming to be Uber, who charged us over $3500 each. Another guest had been similarly scammed just days before, yet the receptionist hadn’t given us any warning. He did mention it after I told him I had been scammed. He should have arrange some ride for us from his end. It’s difficult to determine if the receptionist was incompetent or in collusion with the scammers. The hotel hires, Exploration Travel, for pick ups. Jeremy, the boss, gave several reasons why his driver didn’t pick us up. My sleep was ruined and it continues to upset me. We received no help from staff, until I talked to the management, who paid for our ride to the airport.

This place is in a great location for the waterfront, the V&A and easily walkable to those areas. We also walked about an hour to Clifton Beach from here. It’s an independent hotel with delightful staff who make your stay feel like a home away from home, the honesty bar was a particularly nice touch.
