The pool, hot tub, sauna area was amazing and very clean!! The people at the front desk were extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast was fantastic, lots of choices. I only have 2 negatives and one is unavoidable. The long stairway to the ocean. The other is the screens on the windows block a clear view on either side of the windows.

Effective, professional check-in, very clean room, awesome location, nice amenities, free breakfast. Only issues were the sauna didn’t work, nor did the hot tub jets; but overall a perfect stay.

Great hotel with beautiful views. Direct beach access from the hotel, plus a cute courtyard with games. Great pool and hot tub and sauna. We appreciated that from 9-11pm the pool and hot tub area was 18+. Breakfast was also above average with eggs and sausage and biscuts. Friendly staff there to keep up with food supply and freshness. Very impressed and would definitely come stay here again!

Right on the beach, with some steps. No elevator, but if you request the second or first floor you can park accordingly and no stairs needed. Great pool. Breakfast was okay. Lots of parking. A few dining options to walk to. Bed was meh. But overall great stay..I recommend a balcony room.

View was great. Outdoor patio overlooking the beach was wonderful to relax. The hang out space with two firepits and games was fun. Bed was a little hard for my taste. Breakfast was a true "full" breakfast. Yum. The lady taking care of the guests at breakfast was great.

Comfortable stay relaxing. Best part was the working sauna most places don’t have working sauna. We do have kids and the pool is adult only from 9-11 it is nice.

Lovely hotel. Wonderful views, even with the rainy weather. The kids and I swam and hot tubed and the pool was clean and warm! The breakfast was in a separate little building and the host was attentive and kept the sausage and eggs full as the morning diners arrived. All around great stay!

Great little hotel on the beach. Plenty of parking. Great view of the ocean from our room. Every staff member was so nice and enjoyable to talk too. The pool, hot tub and sauna were a little small but we enjoyed it. Also private stairs that go right to the beach. I can’t say enough how much we loved our trip and staying here. We will be back!!!!

Beautiful views of the ocean. Our room was in great condition and impeccably clean. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of fun little touches like a french press coffee maker and Portland Roasting Company coffee. The fireplace was lovely. The hot breakfast was good.

Clean and updated property made for a very comfortable stay. It’s a bit pricey but worth it. Traveling with 2 dogs on the beach was wonderful. Having laminate flooring in the room made for easy sand clean up. They have a beautiful courtyard that is perfect for relaxing by the fire with a glass of wine. We will definitely be back.

Great beach front property with stairs to the beach. Rooms are nice and recently updated. Only down side is that there is no AC. Our room was quite hot during the day. We opened windows to cool it off at night. Otherwise it’s a great property.

Have been going to the Oregon coast for about 35 years and always enjoyed it but this was in a unique experience. Booked about a week out or so and was surprised the room was close to $400 but when I got there was more than shocked that the room was about 75° plus. The windows could not be open more than 3 inches And there was no air conditioning. The lady was nice and gave us a fan but not really that secured to have a fan running so slept extremely hot and it just kind of sucked. Definitely would not be going back and to be charged $454 for a room at the Oregon coast with no air-conditioning and having it be that hot was unacceptable

The beds in this property were very soft and less support the. What our crew of older members needed. It definitely effected our sleep and our bodies next day . If our back needs support this is not the best option for that

What a fabulous hotel, in a fabulous location, with five star views. We loved the SurfSand Hotel. The free breakfast was great, as was the staff. Comfy beds and nice to have a fridge and microwave. Our only complaint, which isn’t necessarily a complaint you may have, but we found the room a bit small. There was no place to store luggage or put your belongings away. They became cumbersome ( and we only had to two suitcases). And I was really bummed there wasn’t a balcony….however grateful for the Sun Deck. You will truly enjoy this hotel. Great location too!

Gorgeous views, clean rooms and good breakfast. Having the pool & hot tub was a nice amenity as well. Only downside is we could hear the upstairs neighbors jumping around. Otherwise it would’ve been 5 stars. But would stay again.

This hotel has been through a pretty nice renovation. The room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful balcony for relaxing. There were a couple broken pieces of wood trim in the bathroom that need fixing, but overall the room was in pretty good shape. The bed was comfortable and the shower nice and hot. The walking path down to the ocean was really nice considering your walking down a cliff edge.. they have done a nice job with the stairs and stone landings. The breakfast was just fine, we had access to our normal hotel fair of toasted bagel with cream cheese and yogurt, and they even had cups of fresh picked berries, which was nice! The courtyard area looked really nice with bocci ball, fire tables, and lots of seats to hang out in, but we didn't take advantage of it because we were down on the beach most of the week. We will be back!

I recently attempted to check in at this hotel and had one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had while traveling. The front desk staff member, Mel, spoke to me in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. She made comments suggesting that guests “like me” were not welcome, which was both inappropriate and unsettling. Even though I had my 6-year-old daughter with me, the situation escalated unnecessarily, and she ended up calling 911 without any reasonable cause. I remained calm throughout the interaction and was simply trying to check into a reservation I had already made. This experience left me feeling unsafe, unwelcome, and extremely disheartened. No guest should ever be treated this way. I hope management takes this matter seriously and ensures that proper training is provided so that no other family has to go through a similar situation.

We really enjoyed our stay last time we stayed here. This time we decided to upgrade and pay more for a balcony room , sadly this was a huge mistake . Our bed was much less comfortable than the previous room we had booked , the view was worse , the TV was more dated. Overall the Room felt 3 steps down from the cheaper option we picked last time . I loved my stay the first time but this time was lacking . From when I checked in being crowded by children of some random family, and the older man in front of me who couldn’t figure out what’s going on with his room. Overall they had 1 person working so I don’t want to blame her , but the service just seemed lacking . Sadly I will have to spend my money elsewhere next time . Even if I spend another $100 on top I would prefer it for better service /bed/experience .

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. Enjoyed our stay, would return again. Great view from our balcony. Enjoyed the free coffee in the lobby, coffee for a french press in room and the continental breakfast.All staff we came in contact w/ were friendly and personable. Front desk staff (Mel in particular) were friendly and were acknwlegedagle and friendly. All employees we came in contact with were friendly and nice.

Great place to stay. The room was very clean, the lobby area with food and drinks was very nice. The staff was very friendly. Darcy was so nice and recommended a great place for us to have dinner at the casino. Definitely would recommend and will definitely be back!

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful view from room. Pool and hot tub was great. Free breakfast had lots to choose from eggs, sausage,waffles,cereal..etc. nice beach access to explore beach. Plenty of parking, check in was very easy. Room wasnt ready yet but they called when it was ready. Very friendly staff. Will definitely will be returning and recommend to anyone

I absolutely loved my stay at the Surfland! I loved my room, it was clean & cozy with an amazing ocean view! The staff was great - they were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very convenient & much appreciated! The hotel has an amazing location, with the ocean right below, just a walk down a stairway to get to the beach. I definitely plan on staying here again & would highly recommend it to others!!

We had an amazing time staying at the surfland over the king tides weekend. Check in was easy, the service was great. The coffee and the french press in the room was a nice surpise. The view from the room was spectacular, the fireplace and the sound of the ocean at night was everything I needed! Breakfast was included, and okay - fresh fruit would have been nice. However the staff in the dining area were friendly and made sure that the hot food was always fresh. And good coffee was a plus. Beach access was a long, somewhat steep staircase. It was wel lit and we had no problems with it. Would definitely return, and recommend to others.

Beautiful views of the ocean. Our room was in great condition and impeccably clean. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of fun little touches like a french press coffee maker and Portland Roasting Company coffee. The fireplace was lovely. The hot breakfast was good.

Lovely hotel. Wonderful views, even with the rainy weather. The kids and I swam and hot tubed and the pool was clean and warm! The breakfast was in a separate little building and the host was attentive and kept the sausage and eggs full as the morning diners arrived. All around great stay!

It was a beautiful room! It could have been more clean in my opinion. The bed sheets smelled like they had been in the closet for a few months before use. There was dirt around the windows and the remote only worked next to the tv. The room was scorching hot at midnight and so finally I asked for some help and was informed the only option was a box fan. It did help but I had to open up my room for a little to get the fresh air flowing. I had previously paid for a late 1 pm check out. And the day of check out at 11 am I get a phone call asking if I needed any help with checking out. I said, Uh no I paid extra on top of the already high enough expense to check out Later and then they had to double check, confirmed and apologized. I reserved the room for one person and they set it up for a couple. But it’s ok. Otherwise it was beautiful

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They called our room about 30 minutes after check in to make sure everything was ok. They have a nice deck area for sun bathing or ocean watching. There is a nice gathering area with fire places, an indoor pool etc. The property was very nice. My only complaint is that the bed was not very comfortable. I actually had a difficult time sleeping and my body was sore. However, our son did not seem to think the bed was uncomfortable. Go figure. Definitely worth checking out.

The centralized location, ocean views, and direct beach access were very nice features.
