We had a wonderful time at the Inn. Often we stay at a local chain restaurant, but I was glad we chose this Inn, as the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was located right in the center of Amherst - very convenient to walk to restaurant, colleges etc. The room was nicely appointed, it was dark and quiet at night, and the shower was spacious and had great water pressure. Would definitely stay here again if in area!

The Inn on Boltwood provided a refreshing and very welcome break during a long, exhausting trip. The bed was incredibly comfortable; the bathroom was extremely clean with a walk-in shower. I was exhausted and requested a quiet room. It was perfectl!! After an excellent dinner, I slept like a baby and woke up restored. Heartfelt thanks to the manager and staff, all of whom were extremely kind!!

If you like old inns with modern amenities in historic places , this is your place. The beds are comfortable, the restaurant is first rate for breakfast or dinner, and there's a lovely, spacious library with a fireplace for reading or conversation with friends. The front desk staff are universally friendly and helpful, and provide an unlimited number of bottles of Saratoga water, on request. The inn is located alongside a leafy quad that reduces noise from Amherst's main road. Given the inn's age, a guest might experience noise from heavy-footed guests in the room above, but we did not. Noise was not an issue.

I was mistakenly charged $150 twice for incidentals and only refunded one of the $150. I have phoned twice and assured that it would be refunded. So far nothing!! So far as the hotel was only okay. And obviously the staff was not so good at all.
