Absolutely loved this place. Not only is Belmullet in general a lovely place filled with kind people but the folks at the Talbot took wonderful care of us. The room was spotless, the bed extremely comfortable, and the restaurant/bar was delicious. We will be back in belmullet and staying in the Talbot.

Great location. Easy parking. Great pubs in the area. Loved the decor and design. Large rooms. Very spacious. I could stay in those cozy beds all day. If I’m back in Belmullet I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property. Decor reminds me a tad of Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and those flamboyant makeovers he used to do. Clean, elegant, fun. Reported an issue with the shower running hot and then cold (I could live with that having been scalded in Australia once and busted through a glass panel door to get out). The stay was fabulous! Plenty on the menu in the seafood bar and if you have something you may wish you had something else. I had the salmon as we're not far from the River Moy but could have easily gone for the seafood pie or fish and chips. Nice mini-Irish breakfast in the morning to get me on the road again.

On a West Ireland golfing trip, we stayed at Talbot’s and I can’t say enough good things about the hotel and its staff. Rooms are large and well appointed with terrific beds and comfy duvets (not sheets!) Breakfast had great healthy options and was super efficient and dinner also was super tasty and served super quickly. Lastly, thank you to the staff who turned in my missing wallet. What a blessing!

On a West Ireland golfing trip, we stayed at Talbot’s and I can’t say enough good things about the hotel and its staff. Rooms are large and well appointed with terrific beds and comfy duvets (not sheets!) Breakfast had great healthy options and was super efficient and dinner also was super tasty and served super quickly. Lastly, thank you to the staff who turned in my missing wallet. What a blessing!

The Talbot is a funky boutique hotel located in Belmullet. Our room was spacious and quiet with a king size, extremely comfortable bed and good pillows and also a velvet couch to lounge on. The whole hotel is a surprise with its unusual style. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We got a kick out of it. No blah, gray scheme Hampden Inn this!

We absolutely loved our stay in Belmullet, the room was beautiful with the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in!! Just fabulous. Food was top class with a great variety for children and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. We can’t wait to come back! Such a family friendly hotel.

Our room was great , 1st night in the bar the bartender service was poor & bartender appeared mad & angry, breaking glasses, was unprofessional, & inappropriate. There is a very welcoming environment at The Talbot. Ive stayed several times and on this particular stay there were two staff who said ‘Welcome Back!’ Realizing Ill be coming back again Im starting to learn the staff’s names :) Great crew and wonderful service/food as well.

The Talbot Hotel is a modern, moderately grand lodging in a beach resort area. The decor is pleasant but a bit over-the-top for my sensibilities— but everything about our stay was comfortable. We found the town of Belmullet to be a bit of an enigma. Situated in a beautiful part of the world, the town still seems a bit down-at-the-heels, with a lot of boarded-up shops and limited dining options (probably complicated by the fact that we were there offseason). Parking was street-side and relatively easy in November… that might not be true in the summer. We thought the Talbot House was just fine and would be comfortable to stay there again should our travels bring us back that way.

The room was spotless, the bed extremely comfortable, and the restaurant/bar was delicious. We will be back in belmullet and staying in the Talbot.

Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Food was great with large portions. Very friendly staff. Bath water was tepid and room heating controls could have been easier to use. Could have been that new batteries were required in the handset.

Massive, comfy beds in really spacious rooms. Staff were wonderful. Highlight was the delicious lobster and seafood platter in the restaurant.

Love the valet parking, hotel location is near Trinity College(Book of Kells) and Temple Bar area. The hotel breakfast buffet is excellent. The rooms are lovely and very clean. Had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant. Just wish there were more vegan options.

The room was awesome and large. Lots of space to be comfortable. Very clean and all the amenities, small refrigerator. Breakfast was delicious, Mary was so nice and helpful. Dinner was very good.

The stay was 129 euros for an overnight and Breakfast was not included. No indication on booking that breakfast was not included. No option to include Breakfast which made the suggestion that it was included.It was expensive for solo traveller when breakfast was not included. Should have been clearer. Disappointing !!!

If travelling on a motorcycle be aware that the parking can be an issue and you could have to leave the bike on the road. The hotel and food are good.

More than anything, the staff at the Talbot Hotel made my stay a 5 star experience. They are very warm, welcoming, and helpful! Next I would say that the food was too notch (Full Irish Breakfast, Roast beef dinner special, steak sandwich, and Goat cheese & beet salad). I have to add that the large bath tub was a lifesaver for me since I played 2 rounds of golf at Carne (after 2 rounds in Sligo)! Keep up the great work!!
