Hotel La Vista Azul

This is a nice hotel in a quiet location near Turtle Cove marina. There are a few restaurants nearby within walking distance. The beach access is 8 minutes but the beach isn't as nice as Grace Bay. Be aware that taxi rides into Grace Bay are began $20 and $25 for 2 riders. Most taxi services only accept cash. The swimming pool is nice, cold, but nice. The hotel is in the process of remodeling and reutilizing some of its office spaces. Overall, the experience was great, but if you are aiming more when it comes from a resort like beach access or amenities more than a kitchen or pool, you might need to reconsider this location. But, if you are looking for a quiet location, with a nice clean room, then this is your spot.

location of the property is fantastic and its a 5-7 walk from the quiet part of the beach, which is amazing. But this property has the potential to be a lot better. --The room was a bit dated. --The lock on the balcony door was broken so the adjoining rom balcony has easy access to the room. --The hot tup was quite grimy and hadn't been cleaned in a while so after the first time we didn't feel like using it -- one of the pools was really cold -- No wifi in the common area -- The gym room was completely uncared for - weight scattered all over. The weight machine completely rusty and would barely move

The property was located about 5-10 minutes walk from the beach. Excellent Restaurants were also a few minutes walk from the Hotel. The ac unit went out for one day and one staff member was sent that evening to check it, but it was not fixed until the next day by getting a new unit. That same evening we didn't have hot water. The unit was very comfortable and spacious with an amazing view, lounge chairs would be nice to have on the balcony and provide a couple of folding chairs to take to the beach. The gym was way too small with very old equipment. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This place was super amazing. The views were amazing. The restaurant was ok . 8 minutes away from the beach. Pool was clean and heated. The property was clean and pretty. Quiet area hotel staff are helpful. Gym was nice . Only con about this hotel is all the stairs you have to go up. No elevators

They were doing renovations around the pool deck, which would've been okay if I was aware of this before I booked. I was not offered any type of discount and the loud jack hammering and cement griding going on from 7am to 6pm was not okay. You could not sleep past 7am.

The property was quiet and easy accessible. I loved that it had two pools and a jacuzzi but the jacuzzi was crowded as it was only one. I did not like that the property had no elevators or was not handicap accessible. If you are looking to stay here for a couple days and want groceries make sure you are on a lower level cause the stairs were terrible trying to carry heavy luggage and groceries.

Highlights: incredible property, amazing views, pool and jacuzzi strategically place which made access very convenient. Lowlights: this property lacks elevators that are much needed in certain parts of the property. Also, the water (shower) did not work; however, the hotel accommodated us by placing us in another unit.

We'd never been to Turks & Caicos and beachfront (on the water) accomodations were a bit pricey. As it was just us, no kids, the need for instant beach access every day (kids like to roll out every available moment) wasn't so important. La Vista Azul sits tiered, into a hill with oustanding ocean view rooms. Of course you have to specify that otherwise your choices include garden view or whatever the jargon. Lots of steps if you're staying in the Ocean View rooms... 82! If you arrive from the airport by van, reception is at that lower street level. If you've rented a car, you now motor back up to the upper road to access the Ocean View rooms... otherwise you schlep your baggage up 82 stairs to your room! Ours was a 1 room efficiency, w/ balcony overlooking a large beautiful deck and views of the ocean. Just a few steps down and we were poolside. We were in Building 3 and our area was restricted to no kids under... I think it was 12? Net, no kids frolicking in the pool... in fact, only a few adults the entire week. Full bath, full kitchen, washer/dryer, 50" or so tv with all the channels... though we only watched the Super Bowl and turned it off for the rest of the week. We bought a few breakfast groceries and snacks but otherwise tried a different restaurant every night. We borrowed beach chairs + umbrella from the hotel and, while you could walk to the beach (I'd say 15 minutes) we drove to a different point every day... great experience, rent a car.

The property is amazing. The only diwnfall is that there are no elevators for carrying luggage on higher floors.

This place is beautiful and the grounds were maintained. The room was clean and nicely set up. We had everything we needed in our suite, kitchen supplies, clean towels, etc. The only downfall was that our room was right in front of the pool that was closed. There were workers everyday outside laying the new flooring and we couldn’t use the pool for our entire stay. The pool that was open was full of children. Our room had an oceanfront view but you just had to look past the construction and noise.

The room we stayed in was not clean. It smelled horrible. We got air spray to try to help. The black out curtain were filthy as was the one fabric chair in the room. Tile in bathroom was not clean. Kitchen was ‘grimey’. As others mentioned in reviews, be prepared for the stairs!

This is a great property if you want to climb ten flights of stairs each time to get your room and want a dead roach in your closet, and used shampoo left from the previous guest left in your bathroom.

The property did not have an elevator. You had to walk up several flights of stairs in order to get to your unit. It was outside exposure to the elements with consistent rain, which is not any fault of the property. However, there’s no covering, it is not handicap accessible, and not clean on the inside. There were stains on the sheets and pillowcases that caused us to leave this property and go to another property that was more modern.

Our room was not properly cleaned- there was hair in our shower and a peppermint stuck to the floor when we entered the room. It was not a dated room so it was a shame for it not have been cleaned properly. I was not clear that this is not a hotel, staff leave around five. They were nice but we had a lousy room in the first floor with a view of the parking lot.

It seemed abandoned. The area around the rooms weren’t the cleanest. There were a lot of unfinished rooms that seemed like storage ir trash site. Not really any food.

La Vista Azul is no frills but decent. The outside property is nice but the rooms are old and dated. Our first night the water was cold and there was a huge water bug in the kitchen. The saving grace was the staff being so nice and accommodating. Also not a big fan of the layout. We had to lug our suitcases up several flights of stairs to the back of the resort where our room was. I suggest they get a large gold cart and take folks staying in the rear buildings to their room. The view from the pool was nice but the pool itself was no frills either. Apparently, they’re one of the few hotels that have a hot tub (I didn’t fact check this) So I guess that’s a plus. The cleanliness of the sheets and towels are questionable so we just tried to wash our own.

I don't like that you are not told about the steps that have to be taken to get to the rooms. The shower water was lukewarm. Towels weren't properly cleaned. There were stains and pieces of hair on towel.

Did not realize how small the room would be. Smallest hotel room we have ever had. Parking lot view. Not ocean, not pool, not garden view.

Overall, it was nice. I felt safe there and the hotel area was very pretty. Staff was awesome, super kind and went above and beyond. The rooms had an oven, microwave, stove, fridge and freezer, dishwasher and laundry washer and dryer in unit. Two pools and hot tub which were very clean and quiet. Cons: the bed was uncomfortable. My husband and I woke up with back aches each day. The shower water pressure was bad. No pan for the oven so we could not use it. Did not have dish soap or detergent for laundry/dishwasher. However the maid service was awesome and did our dishes and some laundry for us. We bought all the stuff at the store though. No paper towels or napkins or body wash. It did supply shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion though. As long as you bring those things from home you’ll be fine.

This hotel has such beautiful views, I had the ocean room view for my short by very enjoyable stay.

The view from the pool deck was awesome. The pools were very nice. The archetecture of the stairs going to the top is very pretty. Our room had an odd, perhaps musty smell. It wasn't repulsive or bad, but it was not an inviting smell upon first entering the room.

The shower has not hot water, there were a bunch of broken things in the room. The pillows were flat and stained and the toilet paper holder broke in my hand. There were limited options for food and what was there was not very good. This place wasn’t close to anything really and required atleast a 10-15 min walk in the hot sun or in the dark as street lights were spaced far apart. The only beach near by has no option for beach chairs and required a long walk to get there. The staff was very friendly, but besides the pool there wasn’t much to do here.

Property is somewhat neglected, bed uncomfortable, front desk limited availability Location is ok with restaurants walkable but not super close to beach

This place is rough. Since we were only staying at this property for one night, we stayed in the most economical hotel room. I know you get what you pay for, but this was below my expectations. Our room was extremely small, almost claustrophobic, shower water temperature fluctuated throughout a short shower, and the room smelled like a hospital from the intense cleansers they use. Our key/doorknob was broken when we checked in, but the staff quickly helped us resolve the issue for our short stay. The one positive was the bed was very comfortable. Not a bad place to stay, but go in with the right expectations.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was perfect. Full kitchen and laundry. Staff and security were on point. The only negative thing I noticed was the lack of ability to stay for those who are wheel chair bound. I will definitely recommend.

The restaurant owner was excellent and very good food. The hotel front desk people were not nice at all. It seemed like they were annoyed by you as soon as you opened the door.

Nothing in the room works, the staff had me wait hours to give me access to the room then told me my linens are in the dryer of the room and I can get them out with there done. The cable and power in my room keep losing signal, there’s also no front desk agent to contact after 10pm.

This hotel is big and it was almost empty but they don’t let you in until last minutes ( 4 PM )!!!!, you get there 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM have to leave all your belongings in the office and wonder around in the hit weather which there is nothing close, they get your number to call if room is ready before 4:00 PM just for Show!!!

Terrible checkin

The property asked for a cash security deposit of $500 before I could be allowed to checkin (they do not alliw the option of using a card for this). This needs to be communicated at the time of making the booking. I had paid fully for my stay and was inconvinienced having to drive around looking for an ATM to make a withdraw.

I see how this hotel/motel can keep there prices low at times. The staff for example, Rhonda, are very rude. There is no 24 hour staff, one security for the whole grounds. There was a power outage in the evening and no staff there to report it to.

The front desk staff was always helpful and friendly. Good location for walking to the beach and to a few restaurants near turtle cove.

Do not recommend. No elevator, lack of staff, had to carry baggage myself, staff not nice. No bottle of water in the room. But security agent was very nice.

Great location in a quiet area. Short ride from the popular tourist locations and a short walk from a more quiet beach and multiple dining options. Staff was very hospitable.

Excellent service. They go above and beyond to help you have a wonderful stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It’s a great location if you have a car- without a car you’ll need taxis or good walking shoes to get to Grace Bay or Leeward. Close to turtle cove marina and some great snorkeling. Mango Reef and Simone’s are both great restaurants you can walk to. Great value for your money!

This property is about 8 minutes outside from the more touristy area and uniquely centrally located. Very quiet but, also next to about 6 beaches and right across from the boat dock. The Onsight restaurant and the restaurants nearby serve excellent food.

Good place. 5 minute walk to several restaurants on the harbor. Price is right. A little bit of a walk to the beach.

After traveling all day they wouldn't even allow us to check in 30 mins early. I could understand if the hotel was full but it wasn't. Didn't have a smart TV. Online it says there's a restaurant on the property but on check-in I found out it was closed.

Ms. Rhonda was very sweet and helpful. She gave us a tour around the property and answered any questions we had. Our room was on the pool level so we were able to see the ocean directly across the street from the property. The view there was amazing. They also have a breakfast spot that serves breakfast all day until 9 pm, the omelette was great. They also have a restaurant and bar called Simone’s and a spa. I will definitely stay here again

Huge rooms with fitted kitchen and washing machine/tumbledrier, all located a few minutes walk from the beach. Pools are small but clean and quiet. Restaurant doesn’t open on a Sunday and the ice cream parlour is the only option for breakfast (well bizarre). But don’t bother wil it, well overpriced for what it is. Instead go the local supermarket and stock up on food. Dining out; best place for value is Sharkbite just 5 minutes walk away. Would I come back? Oh yes!!

Great location. Simone’s is a MUST. Great local flavors with a great staff. Very affordable.

The property was very nice, clean and well taken care of they came and gave us fresh towels everyday and changed our pillow cases & bedding and did our dishes we never had to call the front desk for anything there are 2 restaurants on the property as well as an ice cream shop and a few restaurants within walking distance, you have to have a code to get in the gate which felt nice and the pools were nice & clean I’d definitely recommend this hotel.
