Love the location at lakeside. The views were somewhat spoilt by the construction site between the lake and the hotel, but still a nice location. The family room was excellent, it has everything you need. Some of the furniture's are a bit dated and tired, but it was cosy and clean.

There is a lot of debris around the front of the property but the backyard is beautiful. The area leading to the lake is under construction as noted, but that does not mean it needs to be dirty with garbage. The paths leading to the woods in the front also has a lot of debris. The room itself was ok, but certainly not new or super clean. This place is just ok for the money.

Rooms were comfy and clean. Sliding door that opened right out to a large grass area over looking the lake. Check in was quick and easy and parking right outside our room door. Would book here again if travelling through.

Driving up to the property was underwhelming but the beautiful lawns behind the motel made up for it and a nice walk down the pathway to the water was such a great way to stretch our legs after a long drive. The lily pads were in bloom and what a beautiful site. Room was clean and just renovated and we loved having morning coffee on the deck. All in all a great stay!

Loved the renovations & updated tech that they have put in the rooms. The property is still under construction, but you can still get to the beach. The lake is awesome & we were surprised when a muskrat swam by us in the evening. Lots of painted turtles in the lake which makes for interesting views around the lake. We will definitely stay here again when travelling through!!

Very clean comfortable unit. Well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and contemporary furniture. Blackout drapes were a nice touch, but were slightly too long and came unclipped from the rail. Couple of small defects in the laminate flooring. Nice little beach on the adjacent lake. Recommended !

A nice trail down to the lake was great, as well as the front lawn overlooking the lake. Easy to get to, but since it is right off the highway, the traffic is very noticeable. The staff was helpful, the room was clean but worn. For the price, hard to beat but would really like a new shower curtain!

I knew it would be a motel, but the welcome email and the photos give it more justice than reality. My room was not clean (the toilet was not cleaned), and the kitchen-type items were in disarray. I think they were about 80% through the reno, and stopped. They are almost there - and if it were clean - honestly, it would be a great spot. Comfortable enough bed.

Positives: The king size bed was SO comfy and I enjoyed the peace and quiet the property provided for my dog and I. Cons: Dirtiest place I have ever stayed in. Slept on top of the bed as the sheets were covered in hair and stains (good things I brought a blanket)! Not even soap provided for washing hands. The property has so much potential. Just has people who don't really care about it which is too bad. Quite comical, nonetheless.

one night stay, easy to find, no pillow case for the extra pillow, no night table by the bed. only one chair for the kitchen table ( two of us staying), several plugs were not working. Nice view out the patio door, which is from the bed. Would consider coming back in summer if they could fix a few inconveniences, as otherwise too pricey.

Older hotel that has been renovated. Clean, with a small kitchenette. My only complaint was that there was no wifi at all first day, the staff worked hard to fix it and it was up again on the second night but with limited signal strength. Good enough for browsing but not for loading photos. Good value for the money unless wifi is a deal breaker.

This hotel is talked up way more than it should be. It was fine for a quick night to break up a long drive. The balcony is one attached balcony so not enjoyable to sit out on. The lake view was just view of construction. The room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable at least. Expensive for what it is.

We stayed at the property for one night on our travels. The room was decent for what it was, and great for our pups. BUT, the floors are not sound proof - we had people above us show up late and all you heard was banging from their chairs etc from 11pm to 130 am ; we had the worst sleep ever. Because of this, we would not stay again especially on the main floor.

Short overnight trip. Room was great 201 top floor corner. Views of mountain and lake were great. Nice to have a ourdoor patio space. Though trucks on highemway are noisy. Room was nicely updated decor was nice, tv was big and beds super comfortable. Ac unit blew some big chunks of dust on me but it is early in the season for its use. Coffee cups were very small but i like my coffee strong anyway. I also kept kicking the wooden bed frame as it sticks out. But i would definitely stay there again.

We have used Hotel Civilia on several occasions spanning many yrs (under earlier management as well). It has improved its cleanliness and provides comfortable rooms that are also pet-friendly. The people serving at the front desk have been very helpful and went out of their way to help us resolve a mechanical problem we had with our vehicle, finding the right person to best resolve the problem. Its a very convenient and quiet location.

We have used Hotel Civilia on several occasions spanning many yrs (under earlier management as well). It has improved its cleanliness and provides comfortable rooms that are also pet-friendly. I was pleasantly surprised at the little details such as the complimentary toiletries which even included make up remover! I was missing one of the remotes for the TV and the wifi wasnt letting me connect and they resolved both issues in less than 5 mins. The lakeside set up of chairs and picnic tables was awesome and the view at the lake was stunning. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was great place to stop on the way home as we were travelling from Vancouver all the way to Edmonton and we just needed a place to stay for the one night the next day we took pictures around the property and amazing view of the mountains, I would probably Stop there again if ever I do this travel again good place to stay thank you

Love the location at lakeside. The views were somewhat spoilt by the construction site between the lake and the hotel, but still a nice location. The family room was excellent, it has everything you need. Some of the furniture's are a bit dated and tired, but it was cosy and clean.

Clean and comfortable. Proximity with the river is very nice, but there was a decrepit lot next to the motel, which was not so nice. The highway was close but could not be heard from the room.

Driving up to the property was underwhelming but the beautiful lawns behind the motel made up for it and a nice walk down the pathway to the water was such a great way to stretch our legs after a long drive. The lily pads were in bloom and what a beautiful site. Room was clean and just renovated and we loved having morning coffee on the deck. All in all a great stay!

A nice trail down to the lake was great, as well as the front lawn overlooking the lake. Easy to get to, but since it is right off the highway, the traffic is very noticeable. The staff was helpful, the room was clean but worn. For the price, hard to beat but would really like a new shower curtain!

Two night stay with breakfast. Reno’s were a work in progress as projects were not competed but tolerable. Fridge was not working so was moved to another room which still had deficiencies but doable. Breakfast is at another property which was @the golf coarse app 7 min drive down the hwy. Food was good but in short supply as they seemed to have to cook whenever a few people entered. All in all I give the group who are trying to make this project a success a thank you for your enthusiasm and your smiles.

An ice bucket would better than flowery scented garbage bag. The free breakfast was a ways away, okay, not the best. The coffee maker in the room was a disaster, and the tv..we never did get it to work..Nice job on the Renos,

Older hotel that has been renovated. Clean, with a small kitchenette. My only complaint was that there was no wifi at all first day, the staff worked hard to fix it and it was up again on the second night but with limited signal strength. Good enough for browsing but not for loading photos. Good value for the money unless wifi is a deal breaker.

Apparently the rooms have all undergone renovations. Their website states all the rooms have 55 inch TVs and desks with desk chairs. Maybe they could have skipped the big TV s and replaced the 50 year old flat as a pancake pillows instead. Electrical outlet covers are missing, flooring is in poor repair and no desk or desk chairs. Lights just ouside the sliding door cannot be turned off and it was so bright all night we could probably read a book. Vastly over-priced for the quality of the establishment. It's pretty much just a tacky, dated over-priced motel.

Images of the property are misleading. The property looks different than in the pictures. Some rooms do not have a bathroom sink! Cable does not work, room smelled like 420 even though we were expecting a non smoking room. It’s like Russian roulette if you would like to find a room with a bathroom sink at this property. Good luck!

It was a cute motel. Clean, and very friendly 2 staff members. The camping side and the lakeside area behind the motel was nice. We were not able to explore around due to the rental car issue.
