This is an adorable little place to stay! We did a super late check in but the rooms are set up with a code and are easy to access from the parking area - each room has their own parking spot, which is great - so a late check in was no problem. Large comfortable room called Los Amantes. Tons of space and a jetted tub. There aren't a ton of amenities but it isn't that kind of hotel. Easy access to the best parts of Taos! If I could offer a single suggestion: mix up the breakfast menu a bit. It was a nice hearty breakfast, but it would be nice if it was different from day to day.

I will definitely stay here again. It was so relaxing and the grounds were beautiful. The staff was very friendly. My only suggestion is to fix the hot tub.

Did not enjoy our stay. We were booked in a room right next to the lobby, so there were people coming in and out all hours of the day and night, very noisy. We had to play music on the tv all night to drown out the sound. Parking was very tight due to us driving a truck. The driveway was very narrow, and is shared with a restaurant next door, so you have to wait for the traffic to come through before you can go down the driveway. The room itself was clean, however there was a hole in the wall in the bathroom, no working fans, and the coffee pot spit coffee grounds in the cups when used (the light on pot said it needed to be descaled). The bathroom was very dark, not much light. The bed was very firm, not comfortable. Breakfast was okay, however disappointing that all of the food is shipped in from Arizona and not cooked fresh, just warmed up. Would definitely not recommend Hacienda del Sol. There are much better options in Taos.

This was a unique place to stay. Dated back to 1804 in original parts. The room was cozy and comfortable. It was lovely to be in the breakfast room with quiet music, fresh squeezed orange juice and great food. I would highly recommend this place to stay. Driveway was a little difficult to navigate off of the main road, but it was clearly marked.

Room was great as was breakfast but they offered a hot tob. We booked this place to have a hit tub to relax after being up and travelling for 48 hrs but when we arrivedvthe hot tub was "closed", half empty and full if leaves !!!! They shoykd have not offered this obviously.

Staff was nice and breakfast was homemade and yummy. The room was neat but could use a deep cleaning (some cobwebs, etc). The hot tub is not private to each room like it says in the details, but you can reserve it and it's in a private area. The sitting area in the back is nice with a decent view but a bit noisy from the road. Overall, I would stay here again.

It is a peaceful , well cared for property. The common areas were beautiful and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great bedding, gas fireplace and sitting area. I would certainly go back.

Hacienda del Sol is an amazing Bead and Breakfast in Taos, we have stayed at many times. The buildings have a rich history in the area. The rooms are nice, and clean. The property itself is indeed an old historic building and shows it. Location is good, and quiet. Breakfasts are amazing! Very friendly staff. Certainly will stay here again

We loved our stay at the Hacienda del Sol and woukd definitely stay here again. Itcwas a beautiful Hacienda and our room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning. I can not recommend the Hacienda del Sol highly enough.

Bathroom heating device was dirty. After flushing, no water from cold faucet handle. SINK is cracked. Only 1, chair , in the room & tv could not be viewed from it. No water bottles nor drinking cups,....just coffee paper cups. Mattress very comfy. Easy access to room via keypad. Good parking. Short window of time for brrakfast. Server was friendly- breakfast typical of hampton inn....subpar for a B&B.

Very nice place. We enjoyed the stay. Nice breakfast. I would come back except on a hot summer day as it doesn’t have AC, but not a problem for us as it was a cool day even though it was mid June.

The room was comfortable but could use some updates and repairs-for example, windows were hard to open. We slept well on the quiet property and enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning before we left.

We enjoyed our stay and our room was lovely. I chose an upstairs room to avoid any possible noise from anyone that might be above us. I am a light sleeper and noise bothers me. We live in a rural area with no traffic, so I am especially aware of traffic noise and found that our room on the west side faced the street traffic, which I found too noisy. We will return, but will choose a room on the opposite side of the main street through Taos. All in all, it was a lovely experience except for the traffic noise.

The Mabel Suite is absolutely divine. I wish I lived there. Only drawback is being able to hear the neighbor's TV. I think the bed shares a wall with their TV.

Great property. Love the self check in. Any staff we encountered were very friendly. The grounds are lovely. The breakfast one of the best we have had. A few minor details would be more attention to cobwebs in corners and lotion in the bathrooms. Otherwise a great stay.

Very cute tucked-away property, gorgeous grounds, we enjoyed our stay in our little bungalow, and the breakfast was great. The host at breakfast was the nicest, most helpful young man. I would have given it a 5, but light bulbs were out in the room, the bed was lumpy and the heat was not working, and the hot water went out completely.

The property and rooms are quaint but there is a lack of communication with management. No one in charge is on site. If you call the # for assistance you often get an answering service that has no answers. The breakfast is very good and there is a cook. I didn't realize there was no TV, microwave, or small refrigerator.

Woke up with no hot water in the room. When we notified staff, they casually said that there was a problem in another room and the hot water had to be shut off for the whole property. Nobody was notified of the situation and we spent way more time trying to figure out a solution than we needed to. We understand that occasionally “things happen”, but when it does the property manager has a duty to inform guests. They utterly failed at that. Also, the in-suite coffee maker did not work. We will not stay here again and certainly will not recommend the property to anyone else.

Very good experience. Breakfasts were great. Employees at the inn were very friendly, especially the fellow who made breakfast. Location was very convenient. Bed was very comfortable.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our one night at the Hacienda. Pluses were the stylish decor in a unique building, beautiful linens on a very comfortable bed, the large inviting lounge with its oversized couches, delicious packaged biscotti, and overall tranquility of the Hacienda. We had a wonderful dinner at the Love Apple restaurant next door, thanks to Tony for his recommendation, and a nice breakfast of egg, premade tamales, and chocolate croissant the next morning. The only real damper on our stay was the fellow who made the eggs in the morning. His attitude was cold and unwelcoming, not a word of what was available for breakfast when we were standing at the counter looking directly at him, and abrupt one word answers bordering on rude. The coffee out of the urn was tepid but we dared not complain as he was the only staff available. We ate quickly and quietly and left, the room devoid of friendly and jovial chatter amongst guests. What an awkward and disappointing way to start the day in Taos, and end an otherwise lovely stay at this charming Adobe.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our one night at the Hacienda. Pluses were the stylish decor in a unique building, beautiful linens on a very comfortable bed, the large inviting lounge with its oversized couches, delicious packaged biscotti, and overall tranquility of the Hacienda. We had a wonderful dinner at the Love Apple restaurant next door, thanks to Tony for his recommendation, and a nice breakfast of egg, premade tamales, and chocolate croissant the next morning. Adorable property, great breakfast, and the staff went out of their way to help and accommodate my allergies. Lovely mountain view from the lilac-scented garden. Great that you can sign up for hot tub time for privacy. Only caveat is for people with mobility issues--the older rooms have uneven floors and a step to enter and in between bed and bath rooms. We will definitely be back!

The customer service team ( Breakfast) and afternoon check in clerk ( female), along with the owner were truly amazing and so incredibly helpful! Cory ( staff at breakfast)even went out of their way to accommodate my Vegan spouse. The Cowgirl room was nicely decorated, comfortable, and the jetted tub plus a steam shower was a wonderful bonus to our room. We highly recommend staying at this bed/breakfast Hacienda as it’s a beautiful, warm, and friendly place to stay- we can’t wait to return soon!

Stumbled in this little place. It’s not in downtown but only a short distance. Room was amazing. Decor and layout more than I expected. Don’t be shy heading up the drive to this little gem!

This was a unique place to stay. Dated back to 1804 in original parts. The room was cozy and comfortable. It was lovely to be in the breakfast room with quiet music, fresh squeezed orange juice and great food. I would highly recommend this place to stay. Driveway was a little difficult to navigate off of the main road, but it was clearly marked.

I enjoyed the large bed in our room, the view of a mountain from the patio and the comfort of the reading room. The breakfast was good too. I wish that they had served bacon along with the eggs but the variety of items was nice. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious.

This place was so amazing. From the views to the wonderful people that work there, it was a wonderful stay! This will be the only place I will stay when I'm in Taos now! Also, Jennifer's omelette was the best I've ever had! Thanks for a great stay!

This bed and breakfast hotel was beautifully charming with vintage decor and modern touches. We stayed in the main house in the La Sola Del Sol room which was cozy with a comfy king bed and pillows. The room was not well lit, only had reading lamps and a tiny lamp, a ceiling light or a floor lamp would help. Also, the leather club chair seat was sagging to the ground and in need of reupholstery. Breakfast next day was very delicious with a variety of choices: scrambled eggs, tater tot hash browns with bacon, green chili tamales, pastries, grapefruit, etc. Cheers to Cory who prepared the meal! He was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. We would definitely stay here again.

Trees, birds, and charming details everywhere. The best orange juice I've ever had. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lavish with nice variety and everything fresh. It's obvious the owners care and take care of the place and guests.

Nice to stay in something that has the flair of the local architecture, panomaric views of the mountains, quiet backyard that guests were actually using and a breakfast that was authentic and made with obvious care and love. Could not find controls for the air conditioner. Otherwise, extremely nice and to top it off the price was surprisingly reasonable.

Cory, the gentleman who served the wonderful breakfast every morning is a delight. He’s very personable, friendly, and helpful. We were there to celebrate my father’s 90th birthday and Cory went out on his own and surprised us with a chocolate birthday pie with candles and two large mylar balloons with the number “90”. It was such a lovely gesture and completely unexpected. Highly recommend this wonderful B&B!

This b&b is absolutely wonderful, the rooms are spacious, clean, and so comfortable. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is amazing; fresh cooked eggs, tamales, quiche, fresh fruit, yogurt, and so much more and the guy running it every morning was so nice. This is our new go to place to book for Taos!
