Great location for what I needed . Visiting son at uni . Parking , hotel was clean . Great for dog as garden was big clean and safe and enclosed with Astro . Large kitchen great for tea coffee and making toast .

Adequate parking. No trouble finding a space. 3 bays outside and 3 bays opposite. Room.and bathroom clean if a little compact. Tea and coffee provided. 4pm check in is too late though.

We had a pleasant stay, the room was clean, along with the Breakfast Area which was spotless and well laid out. Excellent for a short stay, near the park and city center, we had trouble in parking our van the space was to small, but overhaul we were happy

Very clear instructions for check in. Very clear re: breakfast area which was excellent. Didn't realise there was a fridge and microwave for guest use but maybe I didn't read the description properly! Definitely would stop again, more than adequate for a solo single night stay.

Access into the guest house was straight and easy. Good wifi connection. The room was clean with a good view to the outside. Bed was comfy. Kitchen/garden area was clean. Its just a few minutes walk to the city centre On a general note, I commend the management. Keep it up. I would love to stay here again

Advantages; ample parking. Good value. Short walk to the Quays where the new/modern restaurants are. One mile to the cathedral. There are nearby supermarkets. Downsides: thin walls: you hear your neighbors. The bed is a cheap, noisy metal thing. The common area/kitchen is subject to the behaviors of your neighbors. During my stay, they proved themselves to be total slobs.

This was perfect for a last minute stay in Gloucester. Walking distance to the Quays. One minute from the park. Tea and coffee in the room plus a good selection for breakfast. The dining area was super modern and clean and the garden was a nice touch. Plus free parking right outside was a bonus

Most unusual area. I didnt feel comfortable to go out at night. Met three street kids whom did not know where New Zealand & Australia was. When a van of men cruised by us they had to go. Inside the very old refurbished building was very presentable especially the new modern kitchen and diningareas. My basement room ok just the small floor area very dirty and black mould in the corners of the shower.

Room 01 is a basement room. The damp smell hits you before opening the door to the room. The tiles on the bathroom have lifted, and stagnant water can be seen coming through gaps in the tiles as you walk over them. There is rising damp on the bathroom walls. Cold tap on sink didn't work. Bed was a makeshift folding metal camp bed. Bedding and towels were damp to the touch. I genuinely would have walked away had I had any other option. Room was very small and narrow. Genuinely couldn't wait to leave.

Positives-Comfortable bed, warm room, nice coffee, nice hot water. Negatives- Long black hair in my bed, WiFi did not work therefore TV did not work as it wasn’t connected to WiFi ( I had a book anyway), noisy guests in other rooms kept waking me up throughout the night. However, enjoyed my stay for the price I paid.

Although not staffed, access worked well. Room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The only negative was the breakfast which was very basic and no one responded to a request for more supplies.

The City Centre Guest House is refusing to refund me even though I didn’t sleep there, I couldn’t, the place was disgusting. The worst thing was I felt the mattress and could feel the springs, nobody should be expected to put up with paying for that! The kettle was dirty, the hanging rail wobbly. There were no staff there, self check-in and nobody answering the phone. Utterly despicable so I left, very upset about the whole experience. I didn’t take photos as the mattress was zipped inside a bag.

The property was good, I initially found it difficult having access to the room because the hash key wasn't visible on the access machine at the door. The TV couldn't turn on and no staff to complain to. It is good running self access service but at least one staff could be around to render help or leave a phone number. Cheers

Ideal location for access to a wedding reception. Would have been nice to have been greeted by somebody at property. Felt very impersonal. Room nice and clean with good shower. Sink had no plug!

The City Centre Guest House is refusing to refund me even though I didn’t sleep there, I couldn’t, the place was disgusting. The worst thing was I felt the mattress and could feel the springs, nobody should be expected to put up with paying for that! The kettle was dirty, the hanging rail wobbly. There were no staff there, self check-in and nobody answering the phone. Utterly despicable so I left, very upset about the whole experience. I didn’t take photos as the mattress was zipped inside a bag.

Most unusual area. I didnt feel comfortable to go out at night. Met three street kids whom did not know where New Zealand & Australia was. When a van of men cruised by us they had to go. Inside the very old refurbished building was very presentable especially the new modern kitchen and diningareas. My basement room ok just the small floor area very dirty and black mould in the corners of the shower.

In a quiet part of town which was good. Rooms clean and bed very comfortable. A short 10 minute walk to the Quays for food and drinks. Parking spaces available at front of property.

Great location for what I needed . Visiting son at uni . Parking , hotel was clean . Great for dog as garden was big clean and safe and enclosed with Astro . Large kitchen great for tea coffee and making toast .

Room was clean and the self check in was good but the self service continental breakfast could have done with more crockery otherwise everything else was fine and the location excellent.

Access into the guest house was straight and easy. Good wifi connection. The room was clean with a good view to the outside. Bed was comfy. Kitchen/garden area was clean. Its just a few minutes walk to the city centre On a general note, I commend the management. Keep it up. I would love to stay here again

This was perfect for a last minute stay in Gloucester. Walking distance to the Quays. One minute from the park. Tea and coffee in the room plus a good selection for breakfast. The dining area was super modern and clean and the garden was a nice touch. Plus free parking right outside was a bonus

To describe it as including breakfast is laughable. It was self service which would be fine if there were bowls and cutlery available. There was milk and juice and wine glasses? The bread tasted like cardboard. Drawers to put your dirty dishes in?

Had an overnight stay to catch up with friends in the area. Whilst the room was great, the absence of breakfast impacted badly on my stay. A wonderful dining area was spoilt by the lack of food for breakfast. There was just about enough milk to make a cup of tea. Plenty of cereal around but no milk. No bread for toast but you have to admire the redundant toaster as it has ornamental value. Suppose it saves on hiring someone to clean up!! Had to buy breakfast on my way home which was an unexpected and disappointing surcharge, which took the gloss off my stay. Lesson learnt.

If you are looking for a bed and a shower And somewhere cheap but good location this is for you . Maintiniance was poor .toilet seat falliing off Booking in system for keycodes is terrible but parking is great . Help yourself breakfast .no utensils and old crockery . But all clean .

Very clear instructions for check in. Very clear re: breakfast area which was excellent. Didn't realise there was a fridge and microwave for guest use but maybe I didn't read the description properly! Definitely would stop again, more than adequate for a solo single night stay.

You [Expedia] told me to expect a welcome gift: there was none. The property was clean and the decor tasteful. I booked 3 nights B&B but there was no scheduled times for a cooked breakfast: on Sat morning i found it was DIY, cereal, apple juice and toast and on Sun morning no apple juice! This accommodation might be okay for students during term time but not for tourists on a weekend away!

Although not staffed, access worked well. Room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The only negative was the breakfast which was very basic and no one responded to a request for more supplies.

Free parking which is always an advantage in a city location. Ideally placed for the quays and docks as well as restaurants and shopping. There was also a lovely park opposite. Staff were really helpful when we found we had no kettle in the room and brought a new one straightaway (the old one had been broken and they forgot to bring a replacement when cleaning), They even waited to check that it was working ok. I was worried when I read some of the reviews on here but I think people must be expecting a Clarence Hotel standard or something and some of the reviews reflect unfairly on the property. Yes the noise from the road could be a little noisy but that is to be excepted from a city centre hotel. I would stay again.

The photos in website is deceiving. There was no photos of the front of the building or the area around it. It is situated in a residential area . The room itself was comfortable but small. Stayed on the first floor n had a terrible night with the noise from the top floor .They were making so much of noise till 4 am when they left due to their child being sick. Would not stay there again because i expected a proper guest Inn not a flat converted . It’s more Air BnB stuff .
