Cinnamon Bear Creekside Inn

This was such a cute place. We were there for my nephew’s wedding and needed a place to stay. A bunch of us decided to stay there & didn’t realize it only had 8 rooms. My family took 7 of the rooms. It’s more like a house converted to an air b&b. The living room area is open and cozy. We hung out there the night before and after the wedding. The living room has small tables for eating. They also serve hot breakfast which is part of the stay. Our room was the largest, it was more like a 1 bedroom apartment. It came with 2 extra roll aways so my son & sister slept there and my husband & I still had a private room. The room had a sitting area with a fireplace & tv and mini fridge. A small dining area. It was super comfortable and clean. They have private parking at no extra fee. I would definitely come back and stay and do a weekend trip & wine tasting tour. The price was also decent. Definitely recommend for a romantic visit or with family. I can also see coming back as a family group & renting all the rooms. Which happened unintentionally for my nephews wedding. It was super fun!

Cute BnB just on the edge of downtown. Disclaimer: I'm not BnB person so take what follows with that in mind. My first impressions were challenged by the number of eMail messages including what seemed to be a very involved "contract" for the one-night stay as well as enough signatures to think I was buying property. I received no fewer than four messages before the stay, including at least one advising I should install their app. Why I'd install an app for a BnB in Sonoma befuddles the mind. Secondly, the check-in was slightly less than smooth but got the job done. The room was nice and the bed super-comfortable so that was a plus. The bathroom in the unit I was in (Ella) could use some significant updating, however. It's a nice property with a few different outside seating areas, including one with a fire pit. We tried one area but the "fire towers" (whatever they're called) had empty propane tanks so that was a non-starter. The fire pit worked so that was good. The BnB has like five rooms total (two downstairs, three upstairs) and was quiet. Breakfast the next morning was filling and a nice start, though it would've been nice to be given some options. Pros: Bed, happy-hour complimentary wine service, a nice bar across the street, breakfast service, fire pit. Cons: Pre-stay eMail communications, bathroom condition, check-in. Overall: I'd go back but alter my expectations and pick a different room.

What a great find! Welcoming, friendly & efficient staff. Home from home comfort in all areas. Breakfast was lovely, as was the complimentary glass of wine with cheese & biscuits that was in offer between 4.30 & 5.30pm every day. Our room was very comfortable with a huge double sized jacuzzi bath.

Comfortable and inviting courtyard. Relaxing. Good effort at happy hour gathering in reception area for free glass of wine, snacks, plus at breakfast. Only concern was felt like walking around on the classic wood floors was noisy. Made me feel line it could disturb the peace of others in their rooms. Goes with the territory though. Definitely a nice stay.

We loved the bed: sheets, mattress, comforter. The outdoor patio was lovely. However, fence needs repairing. A large branch fell from a tree near us. Thank God we weren’t near it. Hostess Alicia was very nice and accommodating. There was construction being done during happy hour and we had to go outside to talk. Enjoyed the little Asian pies. Breakfast was delicious. Difficult to get into parking lot and was not sidewalk friendly. Overall, for the price, we wouldn’t recommend it.

Room and bed were comfy, breakfast was delicious (fresh fruit cup each morning along with freshly prepared eggs,sausage or pancakes), wine and cheese hour was a nice bonus and the house has a nice backyard to enjoy. The Inn is an old home converted to a B&B. It’s on a fairly busy street but the house was quiet so not a problem. We enjoyed our three-night stay while visiting wineries in Sonoma and Napa. Our only recommendation for the Inn would be to add a charging station for the room as there aren’t a lot of outlets.

Had a wonderful stay for a couple of days. Lived in ”the cottage” wich was nice. Perfect for a solo traveler. Service and breakfast was great and nice with parking included. The rooms are a little ”old” but i think it had its charm! :)

A very great experience. Cruz who welcomed us and saw to any needs was fantastic. Many thanks. The household staff went out of their way to accommodate an early breakfast on 2 days due to our schedule for the Drag racing. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious. Parking no issues at all.

The bed came stained, and there was like one squirt of handsoap in the bathroom and a nearly empty bottle of shampoo in the shower. Not well maintained. Staff was nice, they provided a dog bed in our room for my service animal, but the room was not in good shape. On top of that, someone was controlling our ceiling fan and lights from another room, honestly thought this place was haunted, but then the front desk woman sounded like she knew of the issue. Also, they tried to add an additional charge not agreed upon as I walked in the space. Just not a good feeling about this place after that experience.

We enjoyed our stay. Only complaint would be that the bed was a little high and a little more attention to details (baseboards were dusty)

When we got there, the toilet in our room was blocked. I had to unblock it myself with a plunger that was in the bathroom. It was pretty blocked and don’t understand how it was left in that condition. We arrived after 3:30pm so think it should have been ready for check in. On other things, the bed was extremely hard to sleep on and also they put us in a room right beside the kitchen and dining area. We went to a wedding the night before and wanted to sleep in but the workers started work 6:30ish and they were bashing in the kitchen with music blaring. The walls and doors are flimsy and didn’t block out the sound at all. We just where going to pass off all this and we just mentioned all this to the front desk for next guests maybe for them to be aware off. They barely bothered to listen to what we had to say and weren’t apologetic at all. They just said ok. This is probably what annoyed me the most. I don’t even write reviews on anything but this annoyed me when they didn’t even respond to anything I had said. We paid a lot to stay there for the night.

They provide nice welcome drink/wine and snacks. The property is very clean and very nice staffs. I will definitely come back again.

We happened to have the smallest room/bathroom on the property, and it was a little tight at times, but I saw some of the other rooms which looked roomier and had much larger mor modern bathrooms. The hosts, breakfasts and happy hours were all wonderful. Our bed and pillows were comfortable , and overall it was a very pleasant stay.

Room was very very small. Bathroom needed some work snd paint.

I stayed in the Gilberto room and it was pretty outdated compared to the other rooms shown online and compared to the stylish first floor. It’s on the 2nd floor, up some stained gray carpeted stairs. Bed was comfortable memory foam mattress. The breakfast was very basic scrambled eggs and sausage, fruit, OJ, coffee/tea. The outside has some nice seating areas. If I stay here again I would pick a different room.

Breakfast was decent, if spare. Staff were friendly, but seemed to not always speak English. Our room had a toilet and bath, but no shower which was weird. Bed was comfortable.

We loved this inn! Our room was spacious and so comfortable. I would love to return and stay longer. The outdoor area is so quaint. We were able to be picked up there for our wine tour, and we easily found an Uber to the square

Great hospitality and friendliness. We needed an extra cot and they had it in our room upon arrival. Everything was clean and the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely come back!

Great little B&B close to everything in Sonoma! Breakfast was delicious and we especially enjoyed the wine and cheese in the early evening. The staff was wonderful and gave us amazing recommendations for wine tasting and local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and homely feel. Could not find the thermostat so the room was very warm, but regardless would definitely stay again.

My experience at this property was extremely disappointing. The staff were consistently rude and unhelpful. After being told by the owner at check-in that I wouldn’t need to change rooms, I was later left a nasty message demanding I switch rooms mid-stay. When I explained I was attending a conference, I was threatened over text with police involvement or eviction if I didn’t comply immediately. The desk staff even went so far as to say the owner “doesn’t know anything” and blamed her. Beyond the poor treatment, the hotel itself is run down. Lights in the room didn’t work properly, parking is very limited and on a steep slope (another guest’s car was even scratched), and the building feels old and poorly maintained. There are too many stairs, and you can hear a lot of noise from other guests and the pool area. This property feels more like a cheap hourly-stay motel than a place suited for families or couples. Definitely not recommended.

this was the most bizarre experience. At 8:15 pm I wanted to take a shower. Could not figure out how to get shower to turn on. I called the cell number given on the check in form and just got an answering machine. I went into the Bed And Breakfast lobby. On the left was a widely open door (with their dog going in and out) that led into a sitting room with a TV on. I was not sure if this was private or public area so I just stuck my head through the door and called "hello, is anyone there" . After a bit there was a string of curses (!!!) which came through an inner door. Remember this is not late, it is now 8:20 at night. The curses went on for a while then a male voice said "Goddamn it what is the problem" . I explained that I couldn't get the shower to turn on. Another string of curses then he said he was coming and all went silent. I retreated to the front door. After 10 minutes and no appearance, I again went to the door to the living area and called out "hello, are you coming?" which was responded with another "well, goddamn"...more curses..then "just wait, I was asleep and have to get up at 4 to cook your goddamn breakfast". Wow. And breakfast is not until 8:30 in the morning...He finally appeared and he got the shower running. Turns out you had to pull the handle really hard straight out to get water to go on. I have never been sworn at like that. Both he and his wife drank a lot of wine during happy hour so there may be a alcohol problem. The breakfast was great.

The manager, Karen is generous, caring and loves to coook and host. Her yummy spread is the centerpiece of the nighty wine receptions for the guests. The breakfasts were also scrumptious.The slightly run down property has potential to be an desirable destination. The rooms need renovations including larger, modern bathrooms and better matresses. Cinnamon Bear is only minutes walk from downtown Sonoma and close to many restaurants and wineries.

Great Value! We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff. We also enjoyed the included breakfast and wine and cheese that was offered. We walked into the sonoma plaza. it took about 15 to 20 minutes and was a nice walk.

I’m glad rooms are getting some attention with much needed bathroom upgrades. The Ellington was a nicely appointed room with a large bathroom and bedroom. However, I do think there is some room for improvement with the breakfast service. I would suggest serving stronger and more flavorful coffee. Also, I would recommend serving freshly squeezed orange juice, larger food portions and would definitely refrain from serving stale, pre-packaged Honey Buns. The morning staff could be more engaging with guests - once the breakfast was brought out we really didn’t see them after that. Perhaps it would also be good to ask the staff to adhere to a dress code as well. But just my two cents. The Inn is located in a beautiful location and I know a lot of guests will be excited to visit Sonoma. We thank you for your hospitality during our stay.

This property is listed under the B&B category and it does serve a nice breakfast but there is no choice offered. The comforter on the was a large, heavy fake fur with matching pillows. We could not see how this could be easily cleaned between guests plus it was too hot to sleep under. The heat was not working the first night and because there is no staff an older building converted to an Inn, the bathroom lacked places to put things, no hooks for robes or wet towels. The staff was very pleasant and the happy hour wine and cheese was appreciated. However the dining chairs are uncomfortable as well as the 2 couches in the sitting area. This place was a good price for the popular area a a quick ride into the town.

We enjoyed our stay at Cinnamon Bear. It was great to have complementary hot breakfast each morning. We were there for 4 nights and had 3 different breakfasts. I went for walks each morning. The area around the B&B have beautiful homes. The walk to the downtown only took 30 minutes. Would recommend Cinnamon bear. The staff were all very pleasant.
