No elevator so definitely need to be able to haul

We really enjoyed our stay at Oasis Guest House! The room was great for our needs. The continental breakfast was very good with a nice selection—especially the pastries. The staff was WONDERFUL, so helpful and accommodating! As typical with a city, parking was a bit of a challenge. Oasis has their own parking area with limited spaces, but it’s very tight. However, they do warn you upfront and don’t charge you until you actually park, which is commendable. Definitely walkable distance to Fenway Park Overall, would recommend and would definitely stay there again!

The parking was very tight. I had space ag. I think using a lot nearby would be better.

The room was very small and outdated but well kept. It felt clean and safe. Paid for room with a private bath some rooms had a shared bathroom. No elevator so heavy luggage will be a challenge. Stayed for one night the price was good and so was the location. Is stay again for a night or two for the location cleanliness and price.

Economy Double Room En-suite - 8/10. Smallish size, but was aware of this before booking. Clean. No safe. Very limited hanging space. Room was street facing and quite noisy. Walls are quite thin too. Bathroom - 10/10. Clean and an ok size. Good shower. Bed - 10/10. Nice bed. WiFi - 10/10. No issues. Breakfast - 8/10. Simple, but satisfying. No variation, so after 4 days it was a bit repetitive. Staff - 10/10. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel - 9/10. Great location. Was able to walk everywhere we needed to. Check out Logan Express for bus to and from the airport. Quaint guesthouse. As others have said, getting up the stairs with a case is tricky. No safe at reception either, but they did offer to look after our stuff. Only passports, so we carried them around. Would recommend for a few nights in a great location.

The Oasis Guest House is in a convenient, walkable location. It is quiet and charming. The staff was helpful and friendly, and there were also maps and lists of suggested dining options available at the entry, which were very useful. A nice continental breakfast was available every morning. I appreciate that Oasis lets you know that there is no elevator and that the stairs are very narrow and steep. This is true; if you are unable to walk up multiple stairs, especially with heavy suitcases, this may not be the place for you. I highly recommend Oasis and would stay there again!

Very nice room, minutes away from all you could want in Boston. Do your research, older building in the heart of the city. Not all rooms have private bathrooms, ours had a very nice bathroom with a very small shower. Again be prepared for an older city building, clean but not spacious. Parking was easy with the instructions provided. Overall great accommodations,would definitely stay here again.

Parking garage was easy to get to and close by. Easy walk to Fenway, restaurants, etc. Good continental breakfast options. Friendly/helpful staff. Shower in the ensuite bathroom was small, but totally fine. Room temp was slightly warmer than what I like for sleeping (no temp controls in the room), but not uncomfortable.

We stayed here after dropping our daughter at BU for school. Location is great, nice breakfast spread, loved the access to the deck/fire escape. Hotel management was kind and lovely.

Thing is your control: Old and dirty carpet and with smelling. Thing not in your control is noisy outside when sleeping.

I was only there for about 17 hours, but it was clean and did the job, as I just needed a place to keep my luggage and sleep. Very friendly check-in process and quick.

This is a very old guest house with no modern conveniences at all. No elevator, no bottled water or snacks. No air conditioner. Very disappointed and should have researched the property before booking. Our toilet wobbled when you sat on it. Musty smell to the carpets. How on Earth was this rated 9.4/10?

It was amazingly quiet despite being in Downtown Boston (I was on the third floor). Loved their specific instructions to prepare. The staff was friendly, I didn’t give a full 5 stars because the housekeeping schedule that was communicated at the beginning (every other day ) wasn’t followed, which may not be a big deal to others. But overall, a good place to stay. I stayed for a full week.

Very clean room, friendly helpful staff & excellent location.. breakfast was great with fresh fruit ..can walk along beautiful walkways to get to many interesting places !! I will be back ..

My room was too cold and a little drafty. I would have liked an extra blanket and the ability to lower the air conditioning in the room.

Lovely staff, excellent location. Abundance of restaurants nearby. Walking distance to central Boston, with transit also close by. Noise can be an issue as you can hear the rooms next to you. But they do their best to make sure everyone is respectful of that.

Smallest shower have ever see. Very convinient to areas of interest and walkable. No parking with the property.

Good location for where we wanted to go. Area felt safe and very walkable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Had a nice continental breakfast each morning. Only downside was no A/C control in rooms did provide a window fan which worked well.

Room was clean and pretty quiet considering we faced the street. The room is more suited to one guest instead of two however.

Clean room, but very small

We just needed one night in Boston to go to a RedSox game. The Oasis was a 15 minute walk to Fenway and a 15 minute walk to the Back Bay Amtrak station. It couldn't have been better located. Also, Scott at the front-desk juggled a few rooms around so we could have a second floor room. All in all a very good experience. I'd stay again.

The stag was wonderful! Very kind, accommodating, and easy to work with. The room was wonderful and clean!! Perfect for the price! We really loved staying here and would recommend to anyone.

Staff was incredibly kind and helpful for the duration of our stay and helping us navigate the areas public transit system and restaurant recommendations! The Whole Foods and cvs down the street are very convenient as well. We were traveling for a callback to Boston Conservatory and it was about a 2 block walk, Berklee is about the same distance as well. The breakfast & coffee in the morning was pleasant as well. I would highly recommend this B&B to anybody coming to stay in Boston!

Let’s just say that I am so happy that we left this morning. The front desk day manager made sure that we felt unwelcome every morning. He treated my ten-year-old daughter like a criminal, criticizing, accusing, judging almost every movement of her, rather than giving constructive advice. When I went to talk with him, he was practically yelling at me. Instead of trying to resolve the problem, he was talking fast and defensive. His remarks included “you are checking out right? Good!” He accused my daughter stealing tea bags and lying about it. While she laid out a few different tea bags on the counter, in front of him, comparing and looking at them like a curious child. When he blamed everything on my daughter, I told him that I felt unwelcome too. The 1st morning when I was getting my breakfast, he came up and asked me to move to the side after I got there for just a minute. He first asked me why I waited until the third day to complain. When I told him that I didn’t want to get into argument then and gave him the benefit of the doubt, he said that he was addressing my daughter at the time, and he didn’t know I was her mother. It sounded like I didn’t know who he was looking at and talking to at the time. When I asked to speak to his manager, he shoved a couple of cards to me and said it had the manager’s email on it. Well, it might, if the manager reads all emails to info@ the guesthouse. I will never go back to this place. Although the night time manager was nice.

The place was very clean and most of the staff were very personable and helpful (one guy was a bit of a jerk--to me but to others as well). My primary criticisms would be that the twin bed in the room was very uncomfortable and I felt like it sloped (perhaps because it was so close to a wall and, of course, the room was very tiny, so guests have probably slept on one side of the bed for a long time). Not really much value for money, but again, it was clean, well-located and had a decent (simple) breakfast. For two-thirds of the price, it would have been fine.

Wonderful, pleasant customer service, quiet and convenient!

We stayed here to attend the Harvard Graduation Ceremony. On the check out day, housekeeping was too quick to clear everything out when we weren’t fully ready to leave yet. My husband left his dress shoes in the room and we couldn’t find it. When I talked to the manager about it, they were quick to dismiss me and were of no help. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Mike was extremely helpful. I was able to check in early. He assisted me with navigating Boston traffic and told me about the $3 shuttle to/from the airport. The facility was spotless, fresh linens, and ample toiletries. When I woke up, breakfast was ready by 7. Would recommend to anyone staying near Fenway or who wants to be close to the airport. The shuttle is less than a 10 minute walk away.

Very personable folks at the desk. Nice chat with Scott. Very nice room, down the street from Symphony Hall. I recommend Oasis to all travelers.

Check in was fantastic. The whole place is very cozy. I'd stay here again before booking a normal hotel.

This property is an older Brownstone that has been renovated and sectioned into individual rooms of various sizes. We had a twin with a private bath. Close quarters but very clean and quiet. Oasis is a 12 minutes walk from Fenway Park and we were there to see 2 games. Many restaurants and bars were within 5-20 minutes walking time. The neighborhood felt very safe.

Oasis was a perfect place to stay for college move out! The staff is friendly, room was quiet and breakfast available.

Great location in the heart of Boston but tucked away so it really is an oasis. Great restaurants within steps. Easy stroll to Berkelee School of Music. Likewise to T station. It's an old house with some of the things an old property presents but they were no problem or liability at all.

Loved the historical value of the place. Close to NU, Fenway Park and other sites.

Great place reminiscent of small, charming, intimate European hotels. Location was perfect for walking to numerous sites in Boston: Fenway Park, restaurants, Boston Commons, Freedom Trail (as long as you’re a ‘walker’!).

The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, an excellent selection of quick and easy foods. The coffee was the best I've had in years. I have stayed at hotels throughout this country and overseas that advertise breakfast included, this outdoes them all.

Had a lovely stay at the Oasis! The breakfast buffet was perfect for my needs, the staff was very kind and helpful, and everything was sparkling clean. The T was very close by as well. I came in kind of leery about having to share a bathroom, but there were no conflicts there. It was a smart set-up, putting the half-bath next to the full bathroom. My only issue, and it's a tiny one, is the stairs. They were kind of a trip hazard.

Convenient to the convention center; walkable to lots of Boston venues. Very friendly staff. A good bed. Pillows not so good. Small room but that’s all I needed. Like you’re in Europe. Breakfast is continental and a variety. I’d stay again - if I could bring my own pillows

Breakfast could have been better.

All is well at the Oasis, it's really well looked after and a quiet calm amidst the city. If they would just provide some alternatives to cows milk at breakfast, then full stars would be had. Yes the Whole Foods is down the road, but it's an easy fix.
