This property is going through big renovations! It did not meet the standards as was described on their online site. No one was available in office from 6:00 pm until 10:00 am, in event of an emergency, No lighting outside of building after dark, had difficulty figuring how to turn lights on & off in room (very odd), no television in room. Overall it was not satisfactory for our needs / we are seniors & did not feel safe in this situation.

Ownership of The Parador recently changed. Do NOT book this hotel & consider cancelling if you’ve already booked. Major construction/ renovation underway … right outside our room. Had to step over tools, cords, ladders, etc.(and no access to “beautiful garden courtyard” which was filled with lumber and tools). Noisy. No staff on site. No one in office EVER and we arrived to what appeared to be a closed hotel. I called their # and was texted a code to enter and try to find our room. Breakfast service has been cancelled as they fired the chef. No welcome, no apologies for any of this. For over $500 for two nights we were hugely disappointed and frustrated. Even when the major construction is complete, the lack of staff and any sort of guest hospitality would make me avoid this property. What a shame as it had such a good reputation with prior owners and we were very much looking forward to our stay. I did give 5* for cleanliness as our room and the common area (sitting area/dining area) was very nice.

The room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! Staff and the receptionist were helpful and understanding. I would definitely stay at The Parador during my next visit to Santa Fe.
