Dirty carpets noisy rooms. Can hear neighboring guest snoring $18 per day for parking without notice of fee. Amazing location. Can hear the waves crashing at high tide. Spacious room. Pillows not great. Bathroom marble counter is beautiful but doesn’t match the rest of the room.

We were placed in room #4. Ok room, clean and spacious for a couple. Well-decorated. Almost no ocean view, but this was advertised as "courtyard view" so we weren't expecting anything great. There were no outlets by the bed. Only outlets were in the bathroom and the dining area. Pull out bed was old and completely worn out, needs to be replaced. This means anyone aside from those sleeping in the king bed are not going to be comfortable. Property has several parking spots but parking is not free; do you really need to charge customers an extra $22/day?

Great location. All rooms have ocean view. Rooms not as "trendy" or "modern" in terms of style or decoras some boutique hotels, however, I prefer this type of accommodation where you park right by the room and are in and out easily. no dealing with valet. Front desk was friendly. Room was clean. No issues, would stay again.

The hotel is in a GREAT location and the view from the common area looking over the ocean is gorgeous. The rooms themselves are clean but dated. Front desk has limited hours so if you need anything, you need to get to them early before they leave for the day. If you don't need modern conveniences, it is a very nice place to stay.

Our stay here was enjoyable. Our room offered a small refrigerator, microwave, a small kitchen table and chairs, a full size sofa and chair. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and stocked with all we needed. Parking availble for guests only, additonal parking is available on the street. A furnished sun deck was available and comfortable to gather at. The beach is just across the street. The sunsets were incredible. Visitors lined the sidewalk, across the street, just to take in the view at sundown. The staff was very accommodating, very friendly. We will definitely return.

Charming inn with a beautiful view of the ocean. Large comfortable room, perfectly appointed for a beach stay. And with a novelty - a back door! Very friendly staff. Amenities included beach bikes and chairs if needed. Great balcony seating right outside our room for all guests to enjoy. Was lovely during the day and evening. Easily walkable to town for breakfast spots. Short drive to downtown and La Jolla Cove.

This cute place has no pool or restaurant, but the ocean is right across a quiet street. And there are very walkable restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Brooke and the staff were so hospitable and kind. They have chairs and a bike to borrow for the beach, and a homey deck to watch the sunset. Loved it.

This place was ideal. Overlooking Wedding Point, this spot was close to the village and beach. You could hear the waves crash from our room. Room was well appointed and recently renovated. Great deck area with comfortable seating to enjoy the view. Will stay there again.

Location and service were wonderful! They are right across the street from the La Jolla beach with tide pools. It was perfect for our family trip with two young kiddos. Walking distance from the shops and restaurants in La Jolla as well. The rooms could use a little TLC. Some screens in the windows were coming off and the carpet gave out a musty smell and had many stains, definitely needs an upgrade to hardwood floors. Overall clean, but the carpet and smell has us suspecting mildew.

Really liked the bedroom. Loved the fabrics used, the headboard, the carpeting, the furniture, and the bedding.The bathroom was not as pleasing. The marble sink and the marble floor tiles are very nice. However, the old, rather dingy grout on the floor was off-putting. The mildew on the tub tiles (not all of them--just several of them was also off-putting. Fairly easy fixes to make Room #10 a very special destination. Your staff is friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to work with.

Great location, immediately right on the beach and close to food and entertainment. The walls are thin, anytime someone walked by our room, you could feel them. Other places cost the same, but the view and proximity to the beach was premium.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this charming hotel. Customer service was top notch and so accommodating. My complementary upgraded room was so nice and comfortable with amazing oceanfront views and even a fireplace. This is definitely my new go to hotel when visiting La Jolla.

I loved my stay at Scripps Inn, could not have asked for a better location! Being directly across from the ocean was amazing! It felt like this was a little south of where a lot of the tourist congestion was but still easy walking distance to plenty of restaurants, which was perfect. My hotel room was comfortable, especially thanks to the AC unit. The only thing I would note is that, at least from my first floor room, the noise from street traffic was noticeable. As was people walking through talking or working in the parking lot area. Didn't bother me much but could be an issue for some people.

Fantastic location across from the Pacific Ocean. The owners/managers are friendly and accommodating. However they request check in after 4 pm, but lock up at 5pm. You then have to use the phone provided to be given a combination number to access a locked box containing the room key. A nuisance if you are tired after a long trip.

Great two night stay at my favorite place in LaJolla. Only problem was our room keys were invalidated after one day and it took awhile to get help to get in the second night. Major disappointment. Otherwise the stay was exceptional
Great two night stay at my favorite place in LaJolla. Only problem was our room keys were invalidated after one day and it took awhile to get help to get in the second night. Major disappointment. Otherwise the stay was exceptional

This cute place has no pool or restaurant, but the ocean is right across a quiet street. And there are very walkable restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Brooke and the staff were so hospitable and kind. They have chairs and a bike to borrow for the beach, and a homey deck to watch the sunset. Loved it.

Everything was so easy! I arrived after the office had closed and had received a text with easy to follow instructions! The room was spacious and really nicely appointed with a beach theme/colors! The staff was incredibly kind, responsive be and helpful! You cannot beat the location as it is right across from a walking path along the gorgeous coastline in La Jolla! I would highly recommend this Inn!!!

The beach was right across the street, and the room was nicely furnished and generally quiet except for the noise from people above us. The towels were not changed once during our 4-day stay -- we later assumed we were perhaps required to request this, though we do not recall seeing anything in the room stating this as a policy. We were asked to pay a charge for the parking even though it was not listed as an extra charge on the hotels.com website. The front desk manager waived the parking charge because of the confusing information.

Beautiful property and the stay was great. Only thing is the man in the front desk made a comment I didn’t appreciate. My 3 year old son was outside of the office and he was yelling out of excitement. He asked if he would be doing that the whole stay. It was around 3pm when we checked in. I don’t see why he felt the need to make that comment. I would visit again, but without my children because I didn’t feel they were 100% welcome. If you have children and plan to visit be sure they are trained to keep very quiet.

The location of the property is perfect. It’s very walkable to restaurants and shops and most importantly the beach is right across the street. The room was upgraded with nice amenities and very comfortable.

This place is perfect for a quick romantic getaway. We’re local and wanted a night away from the kids for our anniversary. We will definitely stay here again the beach access and walking distance of everything is great. Definitely some noise but with the windows closed it’s quiet.

Our stay here was enjoyable. Our room offered a small refrigerator, microwave, a small kitchen table and chairs, a full size sofa and chair. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and stocked with all we needed. Parking availble for guests only, additonal parking is available on the street. A furnished sun deck was available and comfortable to gather at. The beach is just across the street. The sunsets were incredible. Visitors lined the sidewalk, across the street, just to take in the view at sundown. The staff was very accommodating, very friendly. We will definitely return.

Charming inn with a beautiful view of the ocean. Large comfortable room, perfectly appointed for a beach stay. And with a novelty - a back door! Very friendly staff. Amenities included beach bikes and chairs if needed. Great balcony seating right outside our room for all guests to enjoy. Was lovely during the day and evening. Easily walkable to town for breakfast spots. Short drive to downtown and La Jolla Cove.

So cozy and includes a kitchen with stover and microwave. The porch is perfect for drinking coffee and looking out at the ocean. Will definitely be returning!

The location was great. The property has plenty of parking spots. Having amenities such as coffee and microwave was a big plus. The communication regarding after hours check in should be clearer but other than that no issues.

Great location. Quiet, next door to beautiful Museum of Contemporary Art which has a lovely outdoor cafe and indoor/outdoor seated restaurant. Right on the ocean. We walked everywhere. There are some stairs to some rooms but we re in our 70’s and managed.
