The house was comfortable, quaint, clean and easy to access. Nicely furnished common areas and suite. Loved the private deck that came with Stirling. Also loved the breakfast and would have it again. Appreciated available parking and short walk into town.

Met two friends and their dog who were from Georgia. It was so comfy and cozy. Our room was spacious enough for all of us; we never felt cramped. The living room area (of which there are two) was an incredibly comfortable area for us to hang out and visit. Great location, its an easy walk to the downtown with a bridge over the highway.

Really adorable 2-bed/2-bath house in the trees. Across HI 50 from downtown Placerville, but walkable due to a pedestrian bridge over the highway. So convenient to all the happenings, but still quiet and peaceful. The Hosts are super responsive and seem to really care about their home. They have a great story behind it too, which makes it a more interesting stay, and explains why there is so much large furniture in all the rooms. They run the B&B below, and bring breakfast up to the house every morning at 9. That was a nice touch too, although we would have liked an earlier option. There are two bathrooms, but only one shower (the other bathroom just has a tub) so keep that in mind if traveling with another couple. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. There was plenty of hot water and water pressure but no lotion, body wash or conditioner, so make sure to bring your own.

The property is quite old and quaint. Guests were respectful so we didn’t hear each other. I slept quite well. Also felt very safe. Loved the easy walk to downtown. Met Tom when he delivered breakfast. Very nice host! And I think I met their cat (or a neighbors) that was a charming fellow.

I love that this is a family run bed and breakfast. Our hosts were readily available via text at any time. The keyless entry with a code is great- no "check-in" area needed. We were pleased that they had a vegetarian option for the breakfast, too. The house is over 150 years old and that quaint charm is throughout the common areas and in our spacious room. Maybe the towels need a refresh.

My fiance and I came for a quick overnight trip for 4th of July weekend and had a wonderful stay! Definitely regret not staying longer, but we will definitely be back. We stayed in the Sterling room- it was spacious, quiet, and boasted a collection of books to peruse, as well as a Kurig and mini fridge. For an old house, the bathroom also was fairly roomy with a jetted tub and shower. The bed was super cosy and everything was very clean. This is an older property with all the quirks and charms of an old country house which was right up our alley. Breakfast was delivered to our door and delicious! The portion was perfect and the cookies upon arrival were soft and chewy. Proximity to downtown is also a plus while being a little tucked away from the action. If you’re looking for a relaxing and charming old school B&B with exceptional hospitality, Tom and Alison’s place is it!

Breakfast was excellent! Property needs some repair work. Leak at bathroom faucet disrupting electrical outlet. Baseboards in the bathroom needed cleaning, but no creepy crawlies, comfortable (although squeaky) bed, and excellent selection of coffee pods. Very friendly staff.

The place was nice, it was a step back in time. Small rooms, old timey bathrooms, and nice common areas. Its is a 7 min walk from the hub of restaurants or 2 min drive. Improvement: shower curtains had a moldy/wet smell that lingered after a shower or bath

Sorry to say, but we did NOT have a good experience. I couldn't wait to leave. I knew it would be an old house, but I was expecting charming ..it was NOT. This place, with old furniture and squeaky floors, would be good if you wanted to stay in a hunted house during Halloween. The biggest concern was how dusty it was and the amount of spiders, bugs, and spider webs. Our room, [Aberdeen] had no nightstands, the 1 lamp was on top of the mini fridge next to the bed. It was hard to close curtains as they are made of fabric. There were 6 electric light switches, and it was like a scavanger-hunt to figure out which switch turned which light. Very loud fan in the bathroom, and it turns at the same time as the light. Therefore, we could not leave the light on to find the toilet room in the middle of the night. The entire place needs to be deep-cleaned, including the dusty ceiling fan. The glass door knobs to the bathroom are completely loose. We didn't take a shower because there was a high tub to climb into. Besides, you had to follow instructions to completely surround the tub with the shower courtain because water would drip outside otherwise (too much of a hassle). Breakfast: They said a box to be delivered to our door at 9:00 a.m . we did not wait and walked into town instead. I could not sleep well because, on the ceiling, above the bed, there was a black flying bug and daddy-long-leg spiders.The sink had no water pressure. Needless to say, we will not be coming bac

We had a lovely stay while visiting friends nearby. The room was clean and comfortable, the location is just a short walk from the main drag but without any of the late-night noise, and in a lovely neighborhood perfect for a morning stroll. The highlight was the breakfast here. Every day was something different and utterly delicious. Highly recommend.

Check in was okay. No staff or service. The house that we stayed in was dark and dingy. No breakfast available which was disappointing since we paid a premium price for a “Bed and breakfast ”.

It was not like other B&B experiences that we so often have. We did not engage with the owners or others.. Breakfasat was served in the individual rooms. Not a personal B&B experience. The house needs some TLC. It is not in good condition. It iis in a great location.

The location within walking distance to main Street Placerville and restaurants is excellent. The place feels a little run down and needs some maintenance and upgrades. However, the staff was very responsive on the text and catered to all my requests (e.g., early breakfast, dog bowls, running toilet, etc).

This is the second time staying at Glenmorey. The Inverness room was at one end of the house and was quiet and spacious. The Aberdeen room (our recent visit) was at the other end of the house and super comfortable with a private patio and huge tub. We felt like the only ones in the home while in this staying in this room. I absolutely love it here, very quiet and quaint. The little gestures, like homemade cookies and chocolates provided, showed the hosts appreciation for their guests. We had our breakfast delivered promptly at 9 am and it was fabulous. The home makes you feel like you are a world away and VIP quests. I highly highly recommend. As an added note, it is only 8-10 mins drive from Red Hawk and less than $20 Uber drive. You will not be disappointed.

I loved the hugh soaking tub. I was able to walk to downtown Placerville within 5-10 minutes. My room had a private yard with a fire pit and two lounge chairs. While I was on a business trip, I will definitely be returning for pleasure. Booking the same room "Aberdeen".

The house was comfortable, quaint, clean and easy to access. Nicely furnished common areas and suite. Loved the private deck that came with Stirling. Also loved the breakfast and would have it again. Appreciated available parking and short walk into town.

The property was like driving up to grandma’s. Nice, spacious room and big bathroom with claw tub. Walkable to Main Street where downtown Placerville offered a number of shopping and dining options. Staying at the Glen Morey House B&B Inn was a pleasure.

What a neat little gem just steps away from downtown Placerville and still surrounded by nature! We even saw a whole deer family on the front lawn. Historic charm meets all the amenities you can ask for. We were in the Inverness room with our two pups and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was super attentive and responsive. The only thing people have to be aware of is that the bed is super soft. If you like that, this is the room for you, if not, you may want to try one of the other rooms.

The St. Andrew room is nice but it has a large beautiful claw foot tub with shower stand but not conducive for older folk as it is difficult to get in and no wall to steady yourself. Hopefully there are other rooms with walk in or tub showers. Should have asked.

Check in was okay. No staff or service. The house that we stayed in was dark and dingy. No breakfast available which was disappointing since we paid a premium price for a “Bed and breakfast ”.

It was not like other B&B experiences that we so often have. We did not engage with the owners or others.. Breakfasat was served in the individual rooms. Not a personal B&B experience. The house needs some TLC. It is not in good condition. It iis in a great location.

Really adorable 2-bed/2-bath house in the trees. Across HI 50 from downtown Placerville, but walkable due to a pedestrian bridge over the highway. So convenient to all the happenings, but still quiet and peaceful. The Hosts are super responsive and seem to really care about their home. They have a great story behind it too, which makes it a more interesting stay, and explains why there is so much large furniture in all the rooms. They run the B&B below, and bring breakfast up to the house every morning at 9. That was a nice touch too, although we would have liked an earlier option. There are two bathrooms, but only one shower (the other bathroom just has a tub) so keep that in mind if traveling with another couple. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. There was plenty of hot water and water pressure but no lotion, body wash or conditioner, so make sure to bring your own.

Unique rustic property decorated for Halloween. Little contact with the hosts, but they were friendly and more than accommodating. Breakfast was served to our room promptly at 9am our first morning and was yummy. They made us a "to-go" breakfast for the second morning because we had to leave before the 9am serving time. Firm, comfortable beds. We were not advised about the stairs and vintage, uneven pathway to get to the entrance; my 87 year old mother needed assistance to manage those. Jetted tub was nice, but no handles for safe use into and out of.
Unique rustic property decorated for Halloween. Little contact with the hosts, but they were friendly and more than accommodating. Breakfast was served to our room promptly at 9am our first morning and was yummy. They made us a "to-go" breakfast for the second morning because we had to leave before the 9am serving time. Firm, comfortable beds. We were not advised about the stairs and vintage, uneven pathway to get to the entrance; my 87 year old mother needed assistance to manage those. The owners were so very warm and friendly. The inn is lovely and decorated nicely. It is very quiet, peaceful and secure. Breakfast is included which is nice. A very charming place. My daughter and I stayed one night and we are looking forward to staying here again! Thank you, Tom and Alison!!

I love that this is a family run bed and breakfast. Our hosts were readily available via text at any time. The keyless entry with a code is great- no "check-in" area needed. We were pleased that they had a vegetarian option for the breakfast, too. The house is over 150 years old and that quaint charm is throughout the common areas and in our spacious room. Maybe the towels need a refresh.

Tom is an awesome host! Breakfasts were delicious and always on time - and even a "to go" option of you need to leave before 9:00 AM. Room was very cute. Remember, this building was built in the 1850's, so of course it's not modern.

This is a must visit bed and breakfast property. It overlooks downtown Placerville and is a 3 minute drive to main street. Room was large and comfortable with coffee maker and refrigerator. Breakfast, which was brought to our room was delicious.

Met two friends and their dog who were from Georgia. It was so comfy and cozy. Our room was spacious enough for all of us; we never felt cramped. The living room area (of which there are two) was an incredibly comfortable area for us to hang out and visit. Great location, its an easy walk to the downtown with a bridge over the highway.

We had a lovely stay while visiting friends nearby. The room was clean and comfortable, the location is just a short walk from the main drag but without any of the late-night noise, and in a lovely neighborhood perfect for a morning stroll. The highlight was the breakfast here. Every day was something different and utterly delicious. Highly recommend.

My fiance and I came for a quick overnight trip for 4th of July weekend and had a wonderful stay! Definitely regret not staying longer, but we will definitely be back. We stayed in the Sterling room- it was spacious, quiet, and boasted a collection of books to peruse, as well as a Kurig and mini fridge. For an old house, the bathroom also was fairly roomy with a jetted tub and shower. The bed was super cosy and everything was very clean. This is an older property with all the quirks and charms of an old country house which was right up our alley. Breakfast was delivered to our door and delicious! The portion was perfect and the cookies upon arrival were soft and chewy. Proximity to downtown is also a plus while being a little tucked away from the action. If you’re looking for a relaxing and charming old school B&B with exceptional hospitality, Tom and Alison’s place is it!

At some hotels the breakfast is more like a snack. At Morey House our breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The important thing is that it was hearty enough to fuel our morning plans. I recommend it!

Amazing stay at the cottage! So quaint and cozy and close proximity to our planned trip to Apple Hill! We loved the breakfast that was complimentary, and they even accommodated my wife’s special dietary request. Porch was beautiful, and it made enjoying coffee in the morning amazing! We will definitely stay here again for future apple Hill trips.

My dad and his wife stayed here for Valentine’s Day weekend, they absolutely loved it. Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts every morning and their dogs were welcome. They’re counting the days until they can go back.

We enjoyed our stay for two nights. Great location, easy to walk to downtown. . The family cats were very friendly as were the deer, that were in the yard seemingly every time we were outside. We only had breakfast one day as the other day we left early. I don't recall being asked or informed before what the breakfast options were, since there was only one, it didn't matter. Breakfast was fine, with sausages, glass of OJ, fruit cup and a toast frittata and was served to our room. There were nuts on the frittata so anyone with a nut allergy should be aware. We stayed in the Stirling room with a King and queen bed, perfect for our family. The room has large book shelves and antique furniture. The room also had a small outdoor patio as well. Great "extra space" with a garden table and 4 chairs. The only not-positive comment is that the room could have been cleaner. There was notable dust on the bookshelves and in the corners of the room.

This is a old and historic bed and breakfast with lovely owners. It was a great location for walking downtown. It was cozy for my mother/daughter weekend. The breakfast was yummy and delivered to our door. The only criticism I have is that the cleaning of the bathroom could be improved. Specifically the floor behind the toilet, and the back of the cabinet over the toilet were bad, as if nobody had cleaned there in a very long time. Otherwise, everything was great.

Specifically the floor behind the toilet, and the back of the cabinet over the toilet were bad, as if nobody had cleaned there in a very long time. Otherwise, everything was great.

We loved every minute of our stay. Can't say enough for all the amenities, and welcoming spirit. A historical home that has traveled thru time with loving care. We highly recommend it to anyone. Plus our dogs loved it too!!!

Nice and secluded, it is an historic home so it’s older but kept up. Breakfast was really good, and staff was really nice.
