Hotel maintenance man was never available to change the battery on the smoke detector in the room. It was chirping both nights during my stay. Front office didn’t have a backup supply of 9 volt batteries to give me so I could replace it myself. The maintenance man dis not come to my room while I was out of the hotel to do the battery swap and he was off-property in the evenings. Inconvenient is the nicest descriptor I could use. I would not recommend staying here. Also the paving by the parking lot toward the entrance as you enter and exit the property should be fixed its very hummocky.

I generally like this place as a relatively inexpensive place to stay, but it's June and the pool is closed. My husband and I stayed there in March and we were told they were working on rhe pool. Of course we expected the pool to be ready for June. It isn’t, but it was filled with water and looked ready. I was told there was a problem with the "permit" or the town allowing the pool to open. I don't know if that's the truth but I dont care. I stayed here in June to use the outdoor pool and it wasn't available on 2 very hot days. Very disappointed. Was told maybe I could get some $ refunded but the owner never contacted me.

Although entering the large parking lot was not the best to look at pavement-wise, the buildings, grounds, pool area and rooms were beautiful. The landscaping was well done and well taken care of, with beautiful flowers and shrubbery. Plenty of outside seating areas around the pool and in other areas were available. Workers were seen often making sure the areas were clean and cared for. The rooms were beautiful and look like they were recently renovated. Real wood doors inside and out made for a wonderful atmosphere. The bed was very firm, which I like, but may be an issue for some. Plenty of room in the room, and a large size mini fridge. Bathroom and shower were clean. The front desk person was totally present, friendly, and responsive. She was fantastic when greeting and answering questions. It was safe and secure. Although out of the way for my business ventures on Long Island, I will be staying there again on my next trip.

Somewhat dated. No USB outlets or hair dryer. Check your window locks & deadbolts. Our main windows unlocked, and after unpacking on the way to dinner found deadbolt was inoperative (this was after we switched rooms due to broken bathroom window that would not close or lock). On arrival pool was closed with handwritten paper sign that it was being "adjusted". Very pretty pool, crystal clear water and nice lounges. We assumed it was being shocked or something. Next morning pool still closed and when we inquired clerk said, "new owner" (???) Room was clean, bathroom in good condition, quiet area & nice surroundings but we'd have booked elsewhere for use of the pool in the summer at similar rate. Sad because property is rather quaint and we'd have returned next time we had business in Huntington.

The pool was our favorite. My son was excited every day. The lake was also pretty. There was no smell, the rooms were clean and the ladies came By every morning or afternoon. We wake up late. Owner and employees are friendly and helpful. Wish they had a fire pit but the outside sitting area was beautiful regardless.

Very nice stay. Only complaint was the carpet was quite dirty. My grandson kept taking his socks off so I saw how dirty his feet got. Other than that I would definitely stay here again

Perfect location for what we needed. Room and bathroom were very clean. Beds are very comfortable. People at the front desk were extremely helpful in restaurant choices, and best option options to get to our destination in the next morning. Would not hesitate to stay here again very nice people.

The toilet seems to have leaked around the wax ring at the bottom. At least the bathroom floor was slightly wet in the morning. The carpet was dirty. The lighting was very dim. The room was poorly ventilated. The walls and ceiling were not sound resistant so it was hard to sleep. We will not stay there again. The hotel needs to be updated.

The staff was very friendly. We had a very private stay and it was very quiet. The style was like a regular hotel room but with a brick wall inside and cooler bed. The outside of the rooms look more like apartments than hotel rooms which I thought was nice. The parking lot was very very close to all rooms and carrying our luggage was a breeze. The heat and shower worked great. The room smelled great and had no stains or filth anywhere. The bathroom was very 60's looking, but kept immaculately clean. I believe in the spring and summer the view would be absolutely beautiful with the landscape and lake view. Breakfast was prepackaged foods, but we weren't there for food so it didnt matter. Also a very affordable price. A little gem in Long Island.

Room was very dark, lighting was inadequate. No fan in bathroom and mold was visible. Goose poop all over the walkways. No ramp or elevator to bring luggage to room, only walkways with steps. Room smelled strongly of old air fresheners. Bed was comfortable, staff in office were pleasant. Housekeeping were generous with towels. Location was convenient. Parking lot was full of potholes.

TV didn't work. No de-caf coffee in morning at Breakfast?!(one muffin). air/heat produced a lot of dust - made me cough when standing close and there was a film of dust on my case in the morning. Staff not very friendy, welcoming or helpful.

Outdated and dark. Sleigh beds too short. Look nice but not practical.,The doorway saddle pieces between rooms were a trip hazard and dangerous. The bathtub was too high to step into comfortably and there were no grab bars. Parking lot in need of a complete overhaul, leaving rooms and stepping off stairs very unsafe. Carpet, curtains and fake brick all need to be updated and changed. Plus side, the Management very nice and helpful. Clean room but described as “just a place to lay your head.”

It was very quick and easy to check in. The staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Only two things were a small issue. No wifi and poor cell phone reception in the room. Had to go outside to do anything. The front door of our room stuck a bit and was hard to do the top lock. Everything else was fantastic

Sink did not empty at normal rate (very slow). Pot holes in parking lot (Big ones). Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. we took food for 3 persons, since we paid for 3 persons. Staff looked at us. Sign says "one per person" Rooms are dark We booked for 3 persons, and tried to change it to 2, and were unable. *There were only towels for 2 persons. We paid for 3.

Excellent reception from Andy. Parking lot/entry full of pot holes. Can hear tv and talking through walls...limited sound proofing. Nice duvets, clean beds. Adequate for our needs for one night.

The bathroom light kept flickering and we asked twice to have it fixed. The bathroom towels were very small. The room size overall is very small. The fridge is smack dab in the bathroom, so you lose alot of counter room. Only one person comfortably at the vanity. Had to request a hair dryer.
The bathroom light kept flickering and we asked twice to have it fixed. The bathroom towels were very small. The room size overall is very small. The fridge is smack dab in the bathroom, so you lose alot of counter room. Only one person comfortably at the vanity. Had to request a hair dryer.

The property was lovely. However, after travelling for 10 hours as an unhealthy senior, I tired- stupidly, locked myself out of my room. Following directions posted on the office door to"Ring bell after midnite" and a note posted saying"Be back soon Warren", I was still outside my room. At about 2a.m. a young couple helped me make calls to the owner. My phone was locked in my room. Called the police. They couldn't reach the owner either. They couldn't help.With the help of another neighbor, as well as the young couple, we got out of the rain @ 4a.m. Was compensated 2/ 3 of the fee for that nite by the owner. The next 2 nites were great!

Perfect location for what we needed. Room and bathroom were very clean. Beds are very comfortable. People at the front desk were extremely helpful in restaurant choices, and best option options to get to our destination in the next morning. Would not hesitate to stay here again very nice people.

Hotel maintenance man was never available to change the battery on the smoke detector in the room. It was chirping both nights during my stay. Front office didn’t have a backup supply of 9 volt batteries to give me so I could replace it myself. The maintenance man dis not come to my room while I was out of the hotel to do the battery swap and he was off-property in the evenings. Inconvenient is the nicest descriptor I could use. I would not recommend staying here. Also the paving by the parking lot toward the entrance as you enter and exit the property should be fixed its very hummocky.

Stay away! This is a horrible place that doesn’t offer any type of customer service I wasn’t able to enter the hotel and they don’t answer the phones I tried to resolve this directly with them but they refuse to answer and give me my money back

Warren checked me in. He was so pleasant and very welcoming. He explained everything. There wasn’t that many pillows and the room had a weird smell. It was very comfortable. Highly reccomend. Thank you Warren!

Be aware, the motel office closes early. My plane was late and I didn't get to the motel until 11:30 pm. By which time the motel had closed and I had to go find aother hotel. Yet, I was charged for the room. I had suggested a compromise to add another night to the stay and use the funds for missing night on that. Unfortunately, there was no compromising with the owner.

My wife said this place was adorable. The room (not really a suite) was nice, but note that the bathroom sink was not actually in a bathroom, but was in an alcove without a door. There was a breakfast, but it was simply packaged breads/cakes provided in the small lobby. The staff was friendly. The part of the site we were in was more like a motel, with an outside entry. Plenty of electrical outlets. The air conditioner worked well, but when we tried the heater it smelled, maybe because it had not really been used. Still, something to check when you get in. As for location, there did not seem to be anything within walking distance, but there were dining/shopping options within a few miles.

Small property, nothing fancy, but super cute and very clean. Person at desk was very friendly. A 5-minute drive to the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium where we attended a wedding. Perfect for our 2-night stay.

Very pretty area. Sweet and friendly staff. The Inn wasn’t walkable to dining places. Had to use Uber eats to get food. More Inn breakfast options should have been included for the guests. Inn was comfortable but the temperature got warm very easily in the room even when AC unit was set to the coldest setting. Very spacious and comfortable bath and shower.

TV didn't work. No de-caf coffee in morning at Breakfast?!(one muffin). air/heat produced a lot of dust - made me cough when standing close and there was a film of dust on my case in the morning. Staff not very friendy, welcoming or helpful.

LOVED our stay! Glad this was a 2 nighter for our family due to activities in the area. Great breakfast, gorgeous picnic table views, comfy, clean room. Would happily stay again!!

The property conveniently located - 15 minutes driving to the Sunken Meadow State Park, 15 minutes to Northport and Huntington. Room was clean - but no option to make tea/coffee in the room. And instead of the breakfast (which was listed in the hotel's website) we were offered coffee and cookies in the office

Sink did not empty at normal rate (very slow). Pot holes in parking lot (Big ones). Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. we took food for 3 persons, since we paid for 3 persons. Staff looked at us. Sign says "one per person" Rooms are dark We booked for 3 persons, and tried to change it to 2, and were unable. *There were only towels for 2 persons. We paid for 3.

This is an older motel that was closed for a while and refurbished. It is in a pretty setting on a marshy inlet just off scenic route 25A. It has two stories and no elevator, so make sure to ask for the ground floor if you need an accessible room. Staff in the office were pleasant, and they offer water bottles on request, as well as coffee and continental breakfast. However, maintenance seems to be a struggle. My room had a damp musty smell and there was a large dehumidifier running when I arrived, although the carpet seemed dry. There was also an air filter machine working. The bathroom seemed clean enough, but there was a slight leak under the toilet tank. Bed was OK, just a bit high for a short person. Slightly shabby overall, but the room had everything I needed and was reasonably priced for the area.

The hotel was a convenient location for a quick overnight stay. Continental breakfast was offered, but we had to check out before 8am on Sunday so didn't get to take advantage because office was not open until 8am. Clean room but not too many conveniently located outlets for all of us who needed to charge our phones. Courteous staff.
