We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Espresso! The room was very small, but we booked as a place to sleep after long days exploring, so it did the job well! The only complaint would be that the elevator was broken for most of our stay, and getting big suitcases up and down the little stairs was a challenge. Overall a very good experience!

We booked 3 rooms (a triple, and two doubles) all rooms were small but serviceable. The front desk areas made a great reception area to wait for our group to assemble. I would return

Hotel was good for basic necessities and a short stay. It’s in a great location for public transport. Lift didn’t seem to work on arrival, but stairs weren’t too bad. Bathroom completely floods when you have a shower & was woken up by the hoover going before checkout. But would say it’s good for the price you pay.

Sadly, I cannot recommend the Espresso Hotel to anyone, and I can't understand that they have 3 stars. There's no highlight at all, but the two persons we saw during check-in and check-out were at least relatively helpful and accommodating. These were also the only two people we saw working there during our entire stay. One of our two rooms was dirty. It looked like the shower had never been cleaned, and there were stains on the walls both in the bathroom and in the main room. There was no soap of any kind in the room. The other room we had to ask housekeeping to clean before we could stay there. There's no breakfast service at all, but there is no mention of this anywhere when you book. There is only a coffee machine (€1 for a small coffee). Other guests went to a nearby grocery store and brought food in. The elevator was not working when we were there. We had to haul our luggage three flights of stairs, no help. We stored luggage at the reception for a few hours upon check out. There is no separate or secure room for this, bags and luggage are simply stored in the main reception area. I will not stay again, I cannot recommend this location at all.

We stayed for 2 nights. We appreciated that they held the luggage before and after our stay. Anything we asked of the front desk they took care of promptly. Great staff. We saw 3 different people at the front desk and all were super helpful.

Hotel fica em uma rua com acesso ao bonde, mercado, locadoras de bicicleta, muito bem localizado. Mesmo sendo nessa rua movimentada não escuta barulho nenhum. Tem uma máquina de café na recepção ao custo de 1$ o café. Mas não tem o serviço de café da manhã. O blackout dos quartos deixa a desejar, não escurece totalmente o ambiente. Não tem frigobar no quarto. O atendimento foi excelente. No mode geral um bom hotel pelo custo benefício, para uma curta estadia está ótimo! Me hospedaria lá novamente.

Good location. The property was good. It had a great foyer to sit and socialize and even have a meal if you liked too. The staff were extremely helpful and engaging. The property is older and little out of date but it was clean and close to most everything.

Stayed in Hotel Espresso for 3 nights. Hotel is Exellently Situated in the museum quarter just a short 5 minute tramride to the Heart of the city. Rooms were fresh and clean with a good shower. Girls on Reception polite , helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my stay at hotel espresso and would recommend it. Got what I paid for which is not always the case in Amsterdam lol

The cleanliness was so so. Bathroom toilet seat was dirty and water kettle had rusty water with particles inside it. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible- non functional dark and dim. The bathroom shelf underneath the mirror is badly positioned as you hit your head on after rinsing your face in the sink. The single bed in a 3 person bedroom was extremely narrow and only 1 tiny pillow. The towels were not changed after the 1st night. The room overall was modern and the bathroom too. The floor was clean.

We had a fantastic experience at Espresso hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting for a few days. Highlights of our stay: Convenient Transport: The location is unbeatable for travelers. It is only a 5-minute walk from the Bus 397 stop, which provides a direct and easy link to and from the airport. Prime Location: We loved being within a 10-minute walk of Amsterdam’s main attractions. It made exploring the city so easy! Wonderful Service: The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Spotless Environment: We were very impressed by how clean and well-maintained the entire hotel was. It felt fresh and comfortable throughout our stay.

Only a ventilator, no airco. Laminate floor and furniture, so basic and charmless. No fridge, no coffee machine or kettle. Safe unusable, being on a floor height shelf of the closet, unless you don’t mind getting on your hands and knees. First night was awful because ventilator did not cool the room enough. The one functional window could not be opened because of noisy trams. We could change to a quieter room the second night.

Stayed here during a 20-hour layover in Amsterdam and absolutely loved it! It was my first time in Amsterdam and I really wish my wife and I could've stayed longer. The hotel is close to a bunch of landmarks, museums, strips of restaurants, etc. Lots of hustle and bustle nearby. Rooms were clean, and the bed was the comfiest one we slept in during our 2-week Europe trip! The room was a little small but the layout made it seem bigger than it was. Nice bathrooms and shower. I will DEFINITELY stay here again on my next visit to Amsterdam!

Great location. Very basic rooms. Windows are locked so cannot open. Airconditioning is basically non-existent. The staff on the Friday and Sunday night were lovely. The lady working Saturday morning was a bit rude. Bathrooms and beds were good.

The hotel room itself was ok - very small, not enough room to set out your suitcase and leave it, but it was fine. The area around the hotel is dirty. Garbage in the street and on the sidewalk. The air conditioning broke before we arrived and the windows in our room were inoperable. After one night with a fan which was miserable, the hotel management gave us a full refund for our next two nights of reservation to find a hotel with air.

The hotel was well kept and staff very friendly and helpful. Very accessible to trams with restaurants around and a grocery. Although my room was very tiny it still was good with comfy bed. My only suggestion is to provide a super absorbent floor mat for the shower to prevent water from going all over the floor. The bathroom floor was all leveled. I would definitely stay at Hotel Espresso again and would recommend to friends and family. Thank you Hotel Espresso!

Location was good, room was small but two issues. The air conditioning didn’t work, even though the staff said that’s the way it works. It was cooler in the hallway than our room. We had to sleep almost naked with the covers off to try to stops sweating. Most of the TV channels didn’t work. Not even BBC1. The vending machine was broken and the Espresso coffee cost €1 a cup.

When we entered toilet was not clean, no phone to contact reception. No facial tissues, no sleepers, or laundry bag. After check out when we came back in evening the receptionist lady Maria was very rude to me and my wife. She even came to washroom to ask me something. She pointed my wife to use washroom for the kid. We never faced this type of issue in a hotel. Not acceptable. I need an apology from hotel management.

Great location. Very basic rooms. Windows are locked so cannot open. Airconditioning is basically non-existent. The staff on the Friday and Sunday night were lovely. The lady working Saturday morning was a bit rude. Bathrooms and beds were good.

We stayed for 2 nights. We appreciated that they held the luggage before and after our stay. Anything we asked of the front desk they took care of promptly. Great staff. We saw 3 different people at the front desk and all were super helpful.

Stayed in Hotel Espresso for 3 nights. Hotel is Exellently Situated in the museum quarter just a short 5 minute tramride to the Heart of the city. Rooms were fresh and clean with a good shower. Girls on Reception polite , helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my stay at hotel espresso and would recommend it. Got what I paid for which is not always the case in Amsterdam lol

The hotel's location makes it accessible to visit the Rijksmuseum, Vondelpark, and Canal Cruise. They are walkable distances; just be careful with cyclists. Also, the area has plenty of shops where you can buy food or relax for coffee. All the staff we met during our stay were kind, approachable, and pleasant to talk with. They allowed us to check in early, which I'm thankful for. I managed to rest before we visited the museum.

Enkelt men helt ok hotell, vad det saknar i charm kompenseras av läget som är utmärkt. Inte i den pittoreska inre delen av city utan vid en stor men ganska lugn gata precis utanför, med goda kommunikationer precis utanför.

Location is good, within walking distance to the museum district. What I liked most is quiet and safe neighborhood with not so many tourists. In my last half trip, I stayed another hotel, near Amsterdam central station and now I feel if I stayed in that hotel throughout my trip, my impression to Amsterdam might have been very different, like noisy and busy town. Though a bit over budget, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Location is good, within walking distance to the museum district. What I liked most is quiet and safe neighborhood with not so many tourists. In my last half trip, I stayed another hotel, near Amsterdam central station and now I feel if I stayed in that hotel throughout my trip, my impression to Amsterdam might have been very different, like noisy and busy town. The location was great. It was close to the car rental services and within a 20 minute walk to any of the museums and center city. The hotel didn't have much in the way of services but there were many options nearby. It felt a little dated and used hard. It was a cost-effective option.

Hotellet ligger centralt med gångavstånd till Rijksmuseum och centrum. Trevlig personal som hjälper till vid behov. Flera bra restauranger och caféer i närheten. Tyvärr serveras ingen frukost. Okej städning men glömde fylla på toapapper & te. Dålig luft på rummet, behövde ha igång AC som låter mycket. Dyrt utifrån vad som ingår

Rummet var helt ok. Lite slitet men rent. Skön säng.Läget på hotellet var bra. Gångavstånd till en större spårvagnshållplats. Det enda minus för vår del var väl att det stod att man kunde köpa till frukost men detta fanns inte lägre på hotellet. Vi reste bara jag och frun och lämnade våra barn hemma och jag är glad för detta för det är inget resemål för en 4 åring med mycke spring i benen eller en 8 åring med mycke frågor och funderingar.

Hotel fica em uma rua com acesso ao bonde, mercado, locadoras de bicicleta, muito bem localizado. Mesmo sendo nessa rua movimentada não escuta barulho nenhum. Tem uma máquina de café na recepção ao custo de 1$ o café. Mas não tem o serviço de café da manhã. O blackout dos quartos deixa a desejar, não escurece totalmente o ambiente. Não tem frigobar no quarto. O atendimento foi excelente. No mode geral um bom hotel pelo custo benefício, para uma curta estadia está ótimo! Me hospedaria lá novamente.

El hotel está súper bien ubicado, llegas caminando a la Estación central, la Grote Mark y sus alrededores. El personal es muy atento y el desayuno es muy recomendable, tiene mucha variedad. Nuestra habitación tenía vista hacia la Iglesia de Saint Catherine.

Good location. The property was good. It had a great foyer to sit and socialize and even have a meal if you liked too. The staff were extremely helpful and engaging. The property is older and little out of date but it was clean and close to most everything.

We were able to leave our luggage with the front desk after arriving very early to Amsterdam from the U S . The young man checking in us in was very nice and was able to get our room before noon. Very grateful. The hotel is walking distance to bus and tram. Grocery store on same block. Beds were comfortable. The only problem was our kettle had black rust on it and could not use it. Basic hotel but clean and quiet.

SAFE OPENED DURING STAY BY HOUSEKEEPING!!!!!!! Staff rating is solely on this. I stayed three days and on day two I arrived back to hotel to get something out of my safe. The safe pass numbers did not work. I went downstairs to tell them I must’ve put in the wrong code and they informed me that during the cleaning the person actually opened the safe thinking that things were left in there from the last guest. This absolutely does not make sense as my room was clean the day before and obviously I didn’t check out for another night. There’s no reason in the world that anyone should invade your privacy and open your safe thank goodness I did not have any valuables in there and nothing was missing, but something tells me they realized it thus did not steal anything. I lived in the Netherlands for four years and upon return, I would’ve never ever expected anything like this to happen. I would not recommend anyone to stay here unless you were going to carry every item with you or have nothing of any value in your possession. Very sad as that hotel was nice and tidy. I asked the staff at the desk how this happened and he said “ I’m only telling you what I was told” I hope everyone reads this before booking the hotel and who’s the situation
