Our stay was okay. Our room was clean but outdated. We heard the TV from the adjoining room. The dining area was nice. Meals were good. Staff were somewhat indifferent. Several men who appeared to be workmen at the inn were outside, hanging out by their pickups acting strangely. The location is close to Mendocino which was convenient. Wouldn't stay here again.

The only place to stay near Mendocino! It’s enchanting and will elevate any vacation. While it’s truly a place to escape and very much geared for adults we had our two older daughters (14 and 11) and they were welcomed and treated like royalty while we were there. The food at the hotel is superb along with the staff. The staff is all local and they all had great recommendations, don’t snooze on everything they tell you to do and eat! We cannot wait to go back!

Our stay was very pleasant but not exceptional. The nightly appetizers were appreciated but I would rename them “small bites”. I would have appreciated knowing more about the wines we were poured other than red or white. The breakfast every morning was wonderful! I would have enjoyed coffee before 8 AM. Maybe a Keurig in the room? Overall my husband and I enjoyed our stay but I expected more for the amount of money we spent.

Staff was very helpful from the time we inquired about which room to book all the way through our stay. The evening wine hour / bento box time was lovely. We enjoyed talking to other guests in the common area and sitting by the fire. Our room was very comfortable and the grounds well kept. Highly recommend!
