Property was beautiful and peaceful. Pictures show a pond but you aren’t able to fish it, it definitely isn’t as pretty in person. Breakfast is included, which is nice, but the food wasn’t great. One hot tub was working, other wasn’t and sauna wasn’t either. Lots of room outside for kids to play. Location was great, easy to get to wolf creek pass and Pagosa springs. The trash had not been taken out in the first room they put us in. The fridge was also not working so they ended up moving us to a different room, fridge worked and trash was empty in the second room. Would stay here again.

This is a very nice upscale Hotel, a couple miles from Downtown Pagosa Springs. The room was very large, actually two rooms, one with two queen size beds, and the other a sitting area and nicely stocked kitchen. The room was very quiet, the beds were very comfortable. They have two outdoor hot tubs. I would definitely stay here again.

This is such an awesome place! I loved that it had a little kitchen with cooking utensils and two eyes. A separate living room with a door that can be closed off from the bedroom. Beds were comfortable and the walk in shower was nice. Two hot tubs and free laundry. Plus the property is so beautiful, feels like being out in the woods but very close to town still. Free breakfast and friendly people. This is an amazing place and an incredible value. I hope they don't change because I will definitely be back if I ever come back to Pagosa springs.

Really like the remodel to have two existing rooms connected to make a full kitchenette Living room/sleeping area in one room and the other two king beds and nice bathrooms, Super impressed! Adjustment to the open and closed time for the hot tubs and sauna needs a new policy, they are not really open to the normal relax time after dinner, skiing, shopping, and before bed time. (Shuts down at 8pm)

Nice place in a nice location. Stayed in a suite and it was spacious and very nice. Our issue was the walls and floors are thin because you can hear everything that’s going on. From people walking and rolling their luggage in their room. We were in a downstairs room and could hear everything the people above us were doing. Didn’t sleep for three days. The hot tubs are a nice feature and one we wanted when choosing this place. There are only 2 and one of the 2 didn’t work right when we were there. We didn’t hate it but most likely won’t be back.

Family friendly! Playground on site. Recent remodel that is great! The staff text you prior to your check in and give you the code to your room-they live on site and also offer to help if you need anything. Honestly at this price I could not have asked for more. They delivered well beyond my expectations. It’s right on the road you come in on if you are coming from the great sand dunes, easy to find. You have an assigned parking spot that is directly in front of your room. They have a really big coat rack we hung all our hiking gear up on. A full fridge including a freezer compartment, a coffee maker, microwave, and full sized shampoo/conditioner/body wash. They also have a little booklet by the bed that has house rules, and a guide to the area. We were very impressed! We are from WV so we are not used to such a nice place for such an affordable price.

Excellent communication with the staff and Jess who got us checked in easily over phone and text. The property is a gem situated along a quiet stretch hwy 160 with a private pond and hiking trails. The rooms are updated with kitchens and a living space with a lot of space for our family of four to stretch out. I’d highly reccomend high creek lodge and will be back next trip to Pagosa springs.

The location is so cute. Very safe and close to town. I originally booked the cabin - the door did not really work well with the little automatic lock so I only had the keys upper lock. Which was fine.. the cabin was beautiful and clean. There was a mouse in the cabin so at midnight I called and the lady she was so sweet she moved me to a deluxe room in the motel. I was so tired but I appreciate their fast response into that. The room was beautiful and quiet and I was able to sleep!

I was disappointed with my stay at High Creek Lodge & Cabins. While the property is newly renovated and tastefully decorated, the room itself was very basic and didn’t meet expectations. The pillows were uncomfortable, and I had concerns about cleanliness since they lacked pillow protectors. The sheets were low quality, scratchy, and unpleasant to sleep on. Although there was a coffee maker and tea provided, it would have been nice to have an option for decaffeinated tea, as well as an electric kettle for convenience. Personally, I would have preferred instant coffee over dealing with the coffee maker. My biggest issue, however, was the cleanliness of the room. It was evident that the space hadn’t been properly cleaned before our arrival. There was hair and stains on the bedding, including inside the sheets, and hair was found on the shower walls, in the sink and tub, and even in the refrigerator. The microwave still had moisture from its previous use and smelled of reheated food. The room’s location at the top of the stairs made it difficult to sleep. The constant noise of other guests coming and going with their luggage was disruptive throughout the night. Additionally, the lack of a lobby or a proper check-in process created a feeling of abandonment and a lack of security. Communication was also an issue.

Double sized room, recently updated. Comfortable bed and pillows. We could hear EVERY step and muffled word from the room above. TV internet connection kept dropping and no cable or antenna option. Shampoo and body wash bottles were empty. Toilet paper holder fell off the wall.

The room appeared to be recently updated. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here. If you want to sleep in, do not get room 23 as it backs up to the kitchen. Other than that a great place

Booked the cabin for my son's 20th birthday and planned to cook and use the oven. I went to make some coffee once we checked in and noticed mice droppings in the box where the creamer was. Then saw the rest of the creamers empty behind the microwave and tons of mice droppings. Below the sink was dirty and had mice droppings and no cleaning supplies. The oven was dirty so we couldn't use it. Luckily I had brought my cast iron skillet and a few utensils to use so we made due with that for dinner. The following morning the mouse has returned and left droppings on the counter again so we didn't cook breakfast in the cabin and opted to go eat in town. On the positive side, The property manager was quick at responding and sent someone to clean the droppings within the hour. She gave us a $50 discount. But at that point I felt paying $300 for the night was overkill since we didn't use the kitchen as had planned.

This is our second stay at High Creek Lodge and we love it! The suites are very spacious, clean and neat. The amenities are great. It’s close to Pagosa Springs, just a little drive and you’re there. We will definitely be back!

This accommodation was both good and bad. Unfortunately the bad things were really bad so I took off 2 stars. I was going to take off one more, but the roon was mostly good. The beds and couch were really firm memory foam. For some people that would be fabulous, but I am personally not a fan. The room is renovated. The decor is nice, the kitchen well appointed. If you are there with a family, bathroom access would be a challenge, but it was just my husband and I, so it was ok. There was ALOT of road noise. I had to turn on both room fans to try to drown it out. A sound machine, or a sound app may be helpful. The internet was not fabulous. That was a challenge as we had some work to do. There is no desk and the coffee table (while nice) does not fit into the sectional couch area well so working on a laptop was really uncomfortable. The room was mostly clean. There were some marks on some walls that could have used a wipe. Now the awful, I went to take a shower in the morning and the towel I pulled out had black marks on it. Upon furner inspection, it had an unknown yellowish stinky substance on it as well. I pulled out another towel, it had black marks on it as well, same with the 3rd one. The 4th towel appeared clean, so that is what I used. Maybe there was a problem with the washing machine that caused the blacck mark, but that certainly doesn't explain the other substance. One younger cleaning lady that we saw in the morning was really friendly.

The beds and couch were really firm memory foam. For some people that would be fabulous, but I am personally not a fan. The room is renovated. The decor is nice, the kitchen well appointed. If you are there with a family, bathroom access would be a challenge, but it was just my husband and I, so it was ok. There was ALOT of road noise. I had to turn on both room fans to try to drown it out. A sound machine, or a sound app may be helpful. The internet was not fabulous. That was a challenge as we had some work to do. There is no desk and the coffee table (while nice) does not fit into the sectional couch area well so working on a laptop was really uncomfortable. The room was mostly clean. There were some marks on some walls that could have used a wipe. Now the awful, I went to take a shower in the morning and the towel I pulled out had black marks on it. Upon furner inspection, it had an unknown yellowish stinky substance on it as well. I pulled out another towel, it had black marks on it as well, same with the 3rd one. The 4th towel appeared clean, so that is what I used. Maybe there was a problem with the washing machine that caused the blacck mark, but that certainly doesn't explain the other substance. One younger cleaning lady that we saw in the morning was really friendly.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful and comfortable and had all the kitchen amenities you could ever want. Spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and couch with good lighting throughout. Everything appeared new. No tired looking linens or rugs. Truly one of the nicest properties I've stayed in. Unfortunately there is no sound dampening in any of the walls or ceilings. We listened to feet above us clunking around in the evening and early the next morning about 6am. We were also next door to a large family group with several young children who ran and bounced around in their rooms for hours like they were on a jungle jim. And then a dog arrived the next morning with other guests who apparently thought it was fine for their large dog to bark for over an hour. I love dogs and children, but with no sound buffer in the walls of any sort, it was too much to ever think of staying there again. Which really bothers me because this was the kind of place you could stay for several days and enjoy day trips from there.

Very cute place outside of town. We were in room 23. The place didn’t seem to be full. I was surprised where they located us, particularly because it didn’t seem full. We were right next to kitchen, so I got to hear them prepping for breakfast even though I had ear plugs on. What I really needed was an eye mask because there was a bright light outside our room that was visible all night long. Black out blinds are really in order for room 23. I was not comfortable in the bed, but my husband was. If o were to stay here again I would ask NOT to be in room 23. Breakfast was available. Very basic, but good. They had bacon, tots and scrambled eggs. Yogurt. I think waffles. Cereals.

Well, with any place there's pros and cons. We loved the private space and the quiet. The amenities were lovely and nice. Unfortunately, the bed was the biggest con. The memory foam mattresses were too hard and very uncomfortable and that alone will not make us a repeat customer. If that ever changes we'll be back

Nice place in a nice location. Stayed in a suite and it was spacious and very nice. Our issue was the walls and floors are thin because you can hear everything that’s going on. From people walking and rolling their luggage in their room. We were in a downstairs room and could hear everything the people above us were doing. Didn’t sleep for three days. The hot tubs are a nice feature and one we wanted when choosing this place. There are only 2 and one of the 2 didn’t work right when we were there. We didn’t hate it but most likely won’t be back.

It was updated but the wood floors in our room had spaces between the planks. It was noisy being by a highway and truckers were racing loudly down it. It was easy to check in and check out. The beds were comfy and had lots of pillows!

Beautiful and quiet property a 5 minute drive from downtown Pagosa Springs. Cabins were clean with a functional small kitchen (stove, microwave, oven). WiFi was spotty and would be my only complaint.

Check in online was super easy. The room and bathroom in the suite was fantastic, clean, spacious, newly renovated. It was less than a 10 minute drive to Pagosa Springs. Breakfast was the best I've had at a stay. Great overall experience!

The Cabins was a cute little cabin with very rustic Charm. You have to understand I'm 6'2, and the shower head is at like 5'10, the WIFI in the cabin wasn't very strong, so had trouble watching the TV (not cable, but smart TV, so I was occasionally able to get the ROKU Live TV to work, but not much more. The location is like 5 minutes outside of Pagos Springs, so very convenient location, We stayed 2 nights, so we didn't spend a whole lot of time on the property, but when we arrived Friday Night, we were able to see they had 2 Frisbee Golf Goals, in the yard, and again, very rustic atmosphere. If I stay again, I'll most likely choose this property again (that's if I don't bring my trailer).

Awesome experience here. Easy check in with keypad code. Rooms are totally renovated and ours was immaculately clean. Nice breakfast options in the morning that were more than we expected. Although we didn’t use, the kitchenette was really cool, and had we stayed for multiple nights, we would have utilized for sure. About a couple hours after we checked out and got down the road, the place texted me to let me know that my son had left his blanket there, and asked how to send to us. This is a ratty old thing that he has had since birth, but is super important to him. They could have easily just tossed it in the trash, but their contacting us (correctly) thinking that this was an important item speaks volumes about what kind of people they are. HIGHLY recommend.

Contactless check in and check out, no main office. The hotel was just a few miles from downtown Pagosa Springs and was just off the highway, but super quiet and peaceful. Rooms were clean, and well stocked. Breakfast in the mornings was great! Only minor complaint was some noisy neighbors upstairs. Otherwise a great stay!

I never received check-in instructions, but was told that I could check in until 9 PM. I got there at 8:30 and there was no staff to be found. I had to go bang on a window of the office and luckily somebody from upstairs heard me knocking and came down to help me. After being at the location for about 30 minutes, I finally got in. Then there was a loud water pump about 200 feet from my door which prevented me from enjoying any outside time which is kind of why people book cabins out away from the city. When I took a shower in the morning, there was no hot water. I have contacted the hotel to discuss all of these issues, and they are not responsive.

The cabin was clean but the bed was terrible and there is on on site personnel to help with immediate needs. We had limited towels, the ceiling fan didn't work and no one ever addressed it while we were there during a terribly smokey period of time. After 3 contacts over 2 days, someone finally showed up with more towels and trash bags but no resolution to the ceiling fan issue. We will definitely not be returning and can't recommend staying here. Bottom line-no personal touch! Virtual check in and barely anyone present other than the breakfast cook on the property.

The staff did great in communicating and following up with questions I had prior to checking in. We really loved the studio cabin's ambiance. It was a great jumping off point for visiting other areas. We definitely would return here.

This is a very nice upscale Hotel, a couple miles from Downtown Pagosa Springs. The room was very large, actually two rooms, one with two queen size beds, and the other a sitting area and nicely stocked kitchen. The room was very quiet, the beds were very comfortable. They have two outdoor hot tubs. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property just outside of town. The standard room with a king bed had a mini fridge which was helpful. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. And the hot tubs were a nice touch. Would stay here again.

Located right on Route 160. Stayed in room in the back, so did not hear any traffic. Comfortable bed & nice shower with good water pressure. Very nice free breakfast buffet offered. Check in & out with no human contact.

The room was super clean but set up was a bit strange. Wardrobe was in the kitchen/living area instead of bedroom. More hooks needed in the bathroom or bedroom. Breakfast was great except for the funky tasting eggs and cold biscuits. A microwave in dining area would be nice.

There was no welcome book of any sort to tell you how to turn on the fireplace ( which wasn’t plugged in when we arrived) or where breakfast was served in the morning. Since there is no front desk and no greet staff it would be nice to have on hand. Include WiFi password ( if there was any?), breakfast location, fireplace operation manual, where to get frisbees for frisbee golf, how or when you can accesss the hot tubs, and where the remote for the ceiling fan was hidden ( never found). Need more property information/ details. 3. Bed is a super thick and hard memory foam. If you like that kind of bed than no worries but it was very cold in the cabin when we arrived ( heater wasn’t turned on) so bed was extremely hard as memory foam gets when exposed to cold. CUTE place! I was initially skeptical because of outside photos, but I am SO glad we booked here! The rooms have been redone and are very aesthetically pleasing. Not your typical cookie cutter hotel vibe. Loved having two AC's for the place. Fridge was not cooling even though it was set to the coldest temp. I needed extra bed linens but failed to realize until late at night, so that is my own fault. Will stay here again if/when we return to Pagosa!

Check-in consists of a text message with a room number and a code for access to our room. Maybe it's just me but I miss the personal touch of a human greeting. Our room was an ADA disability accessible room on the first floor of the lodge. • The shower was large and easy to get into. However, there was no hot water at 6:30 in the morning. • The chairs were not comfortable and extremely difficult to get out of for anyone with arthritis or joint pain. • The floor was sticky, and the end tables had not been cleaned and they were sticky. • There was coffee, cream, and sugar, but nothing to stir it with. • Lots of noise coming from the adjoining room sounded like room renovations were being completed until midnight. • The highway traffic and parking lot noise was very noticeable. Stay on the second floor to avoid the parking lot noise. • The wall furnace blower was very noisy every time it kicked on and sounded like something was blocking the fan. • The porch light flickered all night brightly enough to shine through the curtains. • The TV buffered every 5 minutes for 2 minutes because of very slow internet. There were no local channels, so the television was virtually unwatchable. • The dinning room was clean and the free breakfast buffet was basic but ,fresh, good, and substantial. We stayed at this same location 5 years earlier when there was a real check-in office and really enjoyed it. I'm sorry to say this time we came away disappointed and very tired.
