Mitchell Hall

Hotel is part of a conference centre, well equipped, modern with bar and cafe serving very good hot food. Room was small but fine for my business stay.

We visited to attend a party and stayed overnight. Easy to find, great facilities, really friendly staff and great value. Would recommend.

A Very Handy Location for trips into London, easy to get to and free parking.

From start to finish an excellent stay. Plenty of parking, a warm and friendly greeting on arrival at Reception. The room was superb and spotless with a very nice adjoining bathroom with shower. The bar was very well staffed and stocked with good red wine. Nothing not to like. Would definitely stay again. Thank you 🙂

Quiet location with good public transport to Milton Keynes and Bedford, although we had a caŕ. Plenty of parking space. Easy access to M1 motorway. Ideal for Luton and Heathrow airports.

Booked after reading reviews. Would not rate as exceptional. The bed was tiny and uncomfortable, could hear everything in adjacent rooms. There was a wedding on so when we went to go to the bar for a drink we were told it was booked out for a private event, however we could purchase a drink and sit either outside (bit chilly) or seating area next to reception. Our room was over the entrance/outside seating area so we could hearing everyone coming and going throughout the night/early hours of the morning. The restaurant is not open at weekends but Reggies for want of a better description - uni cafe was open with a very limited menu. Couldnt pass comments onto reception staff when leaving as it wasnt manned. Will not be returning.

Great value for money. Dining onsite was basic, but the room and parking made up for it. Easy to check in. Room cleaned daily.

Staff were very polite. Outside areas very tidy. Could do with more direction signs from the A421. The bedroom I was in had a really damp smell and I had to sleep with the window open on the ground floor. Also there was a hole in the duvet cover.

From the moment we walked into the building we was impressed. It was very clean and well presented and the staff was lovely and very welcoming. The room was lovely and clean and very comfortable to stay in. We would definitely stay again

All your staff were extremely warm, welcoming and helpful. I really liked the location. A good jumping off point to visit other places. Our room was very well appointed with a nice view of trees and garden. The shower was powerful and hot. It had all we needed. Good breakfast too. My only negative is that the shower curtain was too short and couldn’t avoid wetting the floor, this meant that we had to use towels to sop the water up. Thank you for a super stay. Dodie

We didn’t like that It was a small double bed, and it was quite solid and had a hard mattress The towels were really nice and quite big, as some hotels give you tiny towels and that’s annoying We did like that it’s Not far away from the Milton Keynes Super Bowl and it’s cheap for 1 night We liked the strong shower water pressure and the fact the room was clean and had a fan as it was BOILING The staff were really friendly and kind Would stay again for a festival if the bed was bigger and more comfortable

The 'welcome' we received was rather cold and disinterested (check-out was worse!). There was a lot of noise down our corridor from 11pm onwards (sounded like a group of teenagers, who hadn't thought about the fact that there might just be people trying to sleep!). I was going to report this on the way out, but the receptionist was dealing with some other people, and she didn't even bother to ask if everything had been ok for us. The worst complaint, though, concerns our room: the furniture was dated and covered in sizeable scratches; only one side of the bed had any sort of bedside table (my husband had to put his drinks on the floor); there was too much furniture for the size of the room, and the bathroom was dated. The only good things were the curtains and cushion, which looked like they had been changed fairly recently. Our daughter was staying in a room on the other side of the hotel, and she couldn't understand why we were complaining about our room - she was very happy with hers, so I asked her to send me some photos... Her room had clearly been updated very recently (although the tired old wardrobe doors were still there, and a shower curtain!). The furniture looked new, and had been thought out a LOT better than the 'furniture store' we had in our room. However, our BIGGEST bug-bear was the bathroom... Hers had clearly been updated very recently, and was in stark contrast to ours! I don't think the hotel was full, so WHY were the old unrenovated rooms being used!!!

The hotel is brilliant for the price! The one big problem the size of the bed, is a small double 4ft not an average 4\'6". So it was a difficult night sleep.

We booked in to Mitchell Hall easily enough. The room was nice enough but the floorboards creaked terrible, as did those above us. After returning from the MK Bowl at 11:20pm we wanted a drink but the bar was closed and despite asking politely if we could get one for the room we were told NO by the guy vacuuming. The walls are paper thin so we were kept awake most of the night from movement around the hotel We wouldn't come again.

I booked for a week later by mistake than the day I arrived. I made another booking for the night arrived but the hotel would not refund the booking for the later stay despite hotels.com contacting a manger etc. Best avoided if they are that unhelpful.

I didn’t find this place easily, the postcode took me to somewhere else. The on-site food was good and not expensive, can’t fault it for the price and friendly staff.

This hotel was quite the find for us. Very convenient for our visit to The Stables . The staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean Abd well appointed There's a co-op and Londis within easy reach . I liked the location . I'm sure it would normally be quite quiet . There was a wedding taking place ... NO noise from them or guests However, 2 men, were talking exceedingly loudly in the grounds(until after 2am) ruined our nights sleep They were not hotel/wedding guests . I saw them leave ... So not fault on hotels part ..people were clearing up in the garden at 5am which woke me up . Apart from this I would certainly stay here again. We didn't use the restaurant . .

Very convenient for my meeting

Easy to find & check in. Situated in a quiet area, just outside MK. We were there for an event & it was fairly easy to taxi in & out. Great value. There is a cafe serving breakfast, staff were friendly. Room is clean & exactly as described. Good bathroom.

Very good for the cost, but the breakfast in the restaurant is a bit over priced, but you gave the other option (Both from 7am which is good) a self service with the usual hot and continental choices. Room, basic, clean, kettle etc, with on suite rain shower, overall good value and I will be using again.

Breakfast good but £££ for what it was

Great find, we were really pleased with the location. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The restaurant was more of a canteen style, which met our needs for this trip. But if you are looking for fine dining you would need to drive elsewhere.

Poor for the price, dated room & shower tray/ curtain configuration all wrong, floor turned into a swimming pool. Food was terrible even for the price, it reminded me of a bad army cookhouse! It was a shame because it is a good location.

Food was limited. Breakfast was £15 in the restaurant (which we thought was a bit expensive) but there was a snack bar with cheaper food options. The hotel was clean and common areas nicely presented. Rooms were fine but on the small side.
